Matrixxman is gaining more recognition by the release and now that he's established his sound on labels like Fifth Wall, Hot Haus, Unknown To The Unknown and Crosstown Rebels even, he returns to Soo Wavey. It follows his Dirty Laundry EP, but really The XX Files Part II is the continuation of his first XX File release for Fifth Wall. All four productions differ and "Soul M8" is a dry drum track that suddenly bursts into a bright and krautrocky, synth-led disco jam, similar in parts to Space Dimension Controller. "Holographic" touches on more of an Abdulla Rashim techno-tip with a touch of Legowelt synthiness, while "Jane Doe" is the cousin of Geeeman's "Rubberband2" for Clone's Jack For Daze label. If you're after some proper, grubby Detroit techno however, "Artificial Intelligence" is the jam.
