Nexus for effects pedals & Eurorack effects modules
Notes: Are your effects chains suffering from radioactive decay? The Transmutron allows you to combine pedals (and Eurorack effects) within its sonic reactor to create new and exciting compounds! Different results can be achieved using one of three modes: Fission (crossover filter), Fusion (crossfader), and Fallout (resonant wide-notch filter).

In the primary mode, Fission, the signal from your guitar, bass, synth, or drum machine is split into separate frequency bands, sent simultaneously to different effects, and then recombined to a single output (or two separate outputs). The Splitpoint parameter can be controlled manually or with an expression pedal, and simultaneously injected with a control voltage (CV) source for extremely dynamic reactions!

In Fusion mode, the Splitpoint instead acts as a pre-FX level crossfader, rather than splitting the signal into separate bands. This allows for less extreme blends, especially when modulating. In the third mode, Fallout, a resonant wide-notch filter is applied to both pre-FX channel signals, cutting a hole and creating a phasing-wah effect when using an expression pedal or LFO to sweep the Splitpoint back and forth.

To further shape the signals sent to your effects, the Transmutron is equipped with dedicated hi and low cut filters. In Fission and Fallout modes, the cutoff frequencies of these filters also define the end-to-end sweepable range of the Splitpoint parameter and its centre frequency. The filters have selectable slopes of 12, 24, or 48 db/oct, which also affects the crossover filter, and greatly enhances the resonance of the wide-notch filter. If further separation of the parallel FX channels is needed, a dedicated phase switch is on-hand.

Both FX channels have two sets of sends and returns: 1/4-in for guitar pedals and line-level effects, and 3.5mm for Eurorack level processing. For each channel, the 1/4-in and 3.5mm FX loops can be used simultaneously, as they are in series (3.5mm then 1/4-in). The FX sends are half-normalled so they can be used as buffered copies without affecting the returns. Additionally, the 3.5mm FX loops for each channel can be independently switched to pedal/line-level using internal dip switches, which allows for seamless integration with the Boredbrain Patchulator 8000.

How complex the reaction is up to you! From simple tone shaping using only a couple effects, to interconnected combinations of pedals and Eurorack modulation madness, the Transmutron is just the tool you need to reactivate your effects!

Notes: The EBS OctaBass Studio Edition analog octave divider creates a single note one octave below the pitch of the played note, adding a new dimention to your sound.

Track your note. The pedal recognizes two or three-note chords and trigger the lowest note. Control the level of the original tone and mix in the octave effect. Choose between High, Mid or Low Range - which relates to the character of the sound of the sub-note.

Hints. Sub-notes are perhaps most effective when playing on the higher frets, and could add a nice touch just slightly blended into the original tone, especially on a solo on bass or guitar. The OctaBass works really good together with distortion as well, but remember to keep the OctaBass before the drive in the signal chain, so it get's as clean as possible tone to trigger. If you are after a synth-bass type of sound, a great way to achieve that is to run an OctaBass, combined with an EBS BassIQ envelope filter, and use the 'Down' mode on the IQ. That makes the impression of hitting a key on a keyboard, and adds that sub-bass as well as synth sound to the tone.

The original EBS effect! The OctaBass was the very first stompbox effect from EBS. This classic effect was introduced in 1992, and based on an onboard effect featured in the legacy EBS Taurus combo. It has become 'classic' after being a trusted companion to legendary bassists like Tony Levin, Roger Glover, Marcus Miller, Tal Wilkenfeld & many many more...

The 2008 edition improvements added 3 dB higher headroom, higher sensitivity and new analog circuitry with higher dynamics and lower noise, as well as true bypass switching technique.

The 2015 Studio Edition comes with optimized signal path, new design, new signal relay switching technique, protection against over voltage use up to 18V and the possibility to power the pedal with anything from 9-12V DC.

Not just another clone or continuation of the 808-esque, acid-style kicks of the Mutant Bassdrum - the Mutant BD9 seeks to explore uncharted bassdrum territory by having an integrated sub-oscillator for maximal auditory obliteration.

Parametric bassdrum synthesis offers creative control of the core sound:
- The primary analog VCO offers classic 909-esque sinusoidal bassdrums, but can also be switched to generate a square wave bassdrum
- The PITCH of the VCO spans several octaves, from about 30Hz to 240Hz, and can be modulated with voltage control
- A novel PITCH DECAY circuit allows you to adjust the duration and AMOUNT of the pitch-modulation envelope applied to the bassdrum, from short blips to exaggerated tom-like sweeps
- The AMPLITUDE DECAY allows adjustment of the length of the bassdrum, from short punchy kicks to massive booms. This parameter is voltage-controlled with a snappy CV response time, allowing you to modulate the duration of your kicks per step.
- The CLICK generator is responsible for the attack intensity of the BD9. A fair amount of circuitry goes into creating this subtle punch at the beginning of the kick. The level of this effect is adjustable up to a fairly dramatic extremity.
- The overall timbre of the BD9 varies with the DRIVE control from warm, analog bassdrums at low settings to speaker-shattering overdriven sounds at high settings. Output levels are modular-level signals, unlike many classic line-level percussive devices.

Still not heavy enough? Try the sub-oscillator:
- A square wave sub-oscillator derived from the primary oscillator's pitch can be mixed in (manually and with voltage control) to the BD9. The effect can be subtle deepness or extreme timbre changes.
- A jumper on the back of the module allows you to select between the sub-osc being a raw square wave or having some of the high frequency components removed with a lowpass filter.
- At high OUTPUT DRIVE and SUB LVL combinations, the sub-oscillator can be modulated with CV to saturate the BD9 output in evolving ways.
- The SUB OCT can be set to 0, -1 or -2 octaves down from the primary oscillator. A drop of 0 means that you can mix an equal-pitch square wave with a sinusoidal primary wave.

Designed for the contemporary modular synthesizer:
- Plenty of Eurorack-compatible control voltage inputs with bipolar attenuverters allow synthesis of dynamic percussion
- A practical analog trigger circuit allows activation of the BD9 from many signal sources (anything with a positive-going edge lasting 2ms or longer). Most electronic drum pads can also directly trigger the Mutant BD9.
- An accent input accepts analog voltage control (0 to 5V will fully modulate the volume from low to high)

Bass line generator with a rhythmic chord section
Notes: The Arpopone from LepLoop is a little synthesizer for generating a melody or bass line and a chord section at the same time. It is based on analog ramp dividers of which each one generates a voltage ramp starting from a master clock that can be internal or external.

Trig1 and Trig2 potentiometers set the number of clock pulses.

With the Trig Mix switch it is possible to select between a single trigger (1 or 2) or both (1+2) to advance the scales.

The Scale Step potentiometer sets the number of steps for the two scale generators.
In the mixer section, the two scales are summed together to obtain a more complex pattern. The amount of each scale can be set by two controls and can be positive (ascending scale) or negative (descending scale).

With the VCO Pitch knob, the melody can be transposed while maintaining the same interval between notes.

The note generated by the VCO is fed to a chain of dividers to obtain four sub harmonics of the original note. One of these is the bass section with its own filter and envelope, the other three form the chord section with their envelope.

The two envelope sections are identical, both have a selector for different trigger sources:

Trig1 & Trig2: The envelope starts at the flash of the green LED (bass) or yellow LED (chord)
SB1 & SB2: The envelope starts at the first step of Scale1 (bass) or Scale2 (chord)
White & Blue: The envelope follows the intensity of the white LED (bass) or the blue LED (chord). Except for this setting the envelope length is set by the two controls Bass ENV and Chord ENV. Additionally, an EXT CV input allows to provide an external envelope.
The bass channel is passed through a resonant low-pass filter with Cutoff and Resonance control.

Finally the Bass and Chord channels are mixed together. The output level is set by the Bass LEV and Chord LEV controls.

Two outputs jacks are available: the mono OUT jack on the back panel and the STEREO jack on the front panel, useful for listening with headphones and for separate channel output.

Streichfett combines the best of the now extinct species of String Synthesizers of the 70s and early 80s. Its dual sound engine features a fully polyphonic strings section and a monophonic solo section, which is essential for recreating how adult movies sounded thirty years ago. The Ensemble Effect handles lubrication of the String Section, while the Effects section adds adjustable Phaser or Reverb. Alternatively, the Effect section can be used to animate the strings registration, allowing spectacular sound morphs.

The Solo Section offset presets named Bass, E-Piano or Clavi, and just like in your typical string machine, the sound has little to do with that name. Instead, these are shimmering and slightly percussive sounds that blend well with the string section.

By utilizing classic digital synthesis blocks like delay and digital filters, Crucible can fully synthesize, in real time, sounds similar to thin struck pieces of metal.

We expose the engine to the user through parameters specifically chosen for their sonic resemblance to the "parameters" of a real drum kit cymbal.

Size, Pitch, Tone, and Deform give the user the tools to shape their cymbal. The Excite knob allow the user to shape their exciter, completely changing Crucible's response. Finally, select where the exciter contacts the engine by triggering the EDGE and MID inputs, or trigger both to strike the "bell."

All of this adds up to a module that is lively and energetic, completely mimicking the feeling of playing a real cymbal, while still incorporating WMD's "New Sounds, Maximum Experience" philosophy.

Stripped down version of the Geiger Counter digital distortion pedal
Notes: The Geiger Counter - Civilian Issue is 32 killer sounds from the original Geiger Counter. WMD stripped off the majority of the controls and took $100 off the price. This is for those players who want to dial in a tone quickly and save pedalboard space.

The Controls:

Stomp Switch - Like all WMD pedals, the GCCI (Geiger Counter Civilian Issue) is handwired and true bypass, so it won't affect your tone when disabled. When the GCCI is on, the red LED will be lit.

Gain - The gain control provides anywhere from a nice clean tone to a ton of overdrive. Use this to hit the Function tables harder or softer to produce different amounts of harmonics.

Tone - The tone control can be used to fine tune the harmonic content from the Function tables. Use lower settings for fewer upper level harmonics.

Function - Twisting this knob will cause the number on the display to change. It goes 0 to 9 and A to F. This selects the 16 presets inside the GCCI. Push the knob in to activate the Low Fidelity mode for each preset. Low Fidelity mode is indicated by the decimal point on the display.

Each Function recalls parameters from the original Geiger Counter including the Bit Depth, Sample Rate and the Wave Table. The wave tables are displayed in the manual file. As your guitar string swings up and down, the wave table is played left to right from the centre. The output is what's vertically on the graph. The more movement in the Function, the more harmonic content you'll get out.

Volume - Sets the output volume of the GCCI which can be up to 5Vpp, enough to really crush your amp's input stage.

Synth module unit for extended functionality of the SSM module
Notes: The SSM Expand 8 HP module provides extended functionality of the SSM.

Gate/Trig: Gate (Green LED lit) provides 10V outputs for each routing button. It mirrors the routing shown by the SSM LEDs. Trig mode (Red LED lit) will output a trigger when a step (CV, Step/Gate or Reset) is taken. Pushing a routing button will not change the output thus providing synchronized triggers.

Trigger Length: CV and knob provide adjustable trigger length.

Retrig on Step: When on, gates and triggers will retrigger quickly when a step is taken.

Invert Behavior: When on, routings that are OFF will produce ON triggers or Gates.

DAC3/4: Two 4 bit DAC outputs that output a weighted 4 bit voltage between 0 and 5 volts. From routing columns 3 and 4.

Step: Outputs a trigger for each step, reset or CV change that is made to the SSM.
