Review: Amir Bresler had long been playing fantastic live shows when the lockdown hit in 2020. But he then suddenly found himself at home with nowhere to go, and decided to work on his first full length body of work. It took him to a rural village outside TelAviv and saw him set up for single day playing sessions in a shop in the village's auditorium. Plenty of local talented players joined in including keys man and producer Rejoicer, Yemen Blues frontman Ravid Kahalani, bass player Gilad Abro, and trumpeter Sefi Zisling. The result is a mix of polyrhythmic beats, psychedelic jazz and deep funk with a uniquely free form spirt and mesmerising sense of groove.
