Goat - "Run To Your Mama" (Cage & Aviary remix)
Blancmange - "The Western" (Cage & Aviary Nothing Is dub)
Teeth Of The Sea - "Sentimental Journey" (Cage & Aviary Wyld dub)
Review: Following their acclaimed debut album, Migration, on Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label in 2012, Jamie Paton and Nigel Hoyle (aka Nigel Of Bermondsey) have seemed relatively quiet save for the odd remix here and there. Tucked away deep in their South East London base though, a series of remixes and solo projects have been steadily forming. With new C&A material planned for 2014, plus more to come from Jamie's new solo efforts, as well as Nigel making a long overdue reappearance in Maurice & Charles, now seems the right time to draw a line under their collective work to date. Here then are a collection of unreleased interpretations, including the sought after vocal remix of psychedelic darlings, in Goat's anthemic Run To Your Mama. This is followed by a late night dub of 80s pop duo Blancmange that mixes strings, guitar and some dub bass with a dose of space echo before bringing Neil Arthur's classically recognisable refrain shining through. To finish is a remix of Goat's label mates Teeth Of The Sea. FX-soundtrack vocal, bubbling 303 and 808 combine on a proper 3am dub that builds beyond some mere drug-chug.

Colourless Plastic (Chomatose dub)
Good Egg, Bad Egg (Gooder Egg, Badder Apple)
In Todd We Trust (In Dubb We Trust)
Review: Migration, the debut album from Cage & Aviary may have been a long time coming, but the intoxicating blend of scuzzy, lo-fi synth-rock, druggy electronica and intoxicating dancefloor oddness showed the South London duo chose well in working with Prins Thomas' Internajonal label. The duo usher in the first of three EPs based around the twelve tracks from Migration, though the material here is gratifyingly all new with expert Dub recreations of three tracks. The A side belongs to an expansive "Chromotose Dub" take on "Colourless Plastic" which chips away most of the vocal excess in favour of sprawling out that tape saturated jackers groove. On the flip, "Good Egg, bad Apple" gets turned inside out, with hollow percussion and thick, sludgey bass, whilst the album's dirgiest cut "In Todd We Trust" gets dusted down and sent to the nether regions of the Cage & Aviary cosmic echo chamber

Beat N Path (Brennan Green's Anxious Acid version)
Review: Tiny Sticks presents Cage & Aviary with 'Beat'N'Path'. Having put out releases to mini acclaim on esteemed labels such as DFA, Dissident Distribution, Astro Lab, and their own The Walls Have Ears imprint, Cage & Aviary are now set to spread their wings with a brand new spanking release for Tiny Sticks and it’s a winner in every way! Two very individualistic tracks that ooze charm & personality. On the flip NYC's Brennan Green runs with the acid theme in the original and turns in a pure analogue master class. Amazing. DJ Support from: James Murphy, Joe Hot Chip, Mark E, Cosmo Vitelli, Roy Dank, Inflagranti, Toby Tobias, Lexx, Azari & III, People’s Popular Front, etc etc....

Deep House
Ali Renault - "The Black Heart"
Iron Blu - "Oiche Shamhna"
Cage & Aviary - "Lean On Me" (Felix Dickinson Foolish dub)
Posthuman - "Make More Man"
Review: Just as the new football season settles into it's groove, the fourth edition of the highly collectable Rothmans arrives sporting some high profile signings! Leading the way on The Claudio Gentile Release is a Foolish Felix dub of Cage & Aviary's "Lean On Me" whose deranged acid gurglings provide a nice contrast to the thrusting Escape From East London stylings of Posthuman's "Make More Men". On the flip Ali Renault returns for Rothmans duty with the Weatherall worthy "The Black Heart" whilst Iron Blu is loaned from Flight Recorder for the synthy swamp of orchestral drama that is "Oiche Shamhna"
