Review: Following his latest album Against A Dark Background, the inimitable Dom & Roland continues to forge his own unique near-30 year path with the launch of a brand new label. Fittingly entitled Individual, it kicks off with two exceptional - not to mention uncompromising - cuts. 'Burn Bright' is your quintessential hardcore jungle d&b with big stabs, massive splashing cymbals and iced out atmospheres stretches over the top. 'Being' meanwhile is a hyper jazz jam with brutalist steppy drums, treacle subs and wild blasts of muted trumpet. Far out.

Review: Dom & Roland was amongst the first to help Over/Shadow kick into gear back in 2020 and, since returning with another 12" last year, a collaboration with long absent legend DJ Crystl, now comes a fully-fledged album. Those following matters closely on the Over/Shadow site will have had the chance to nab a copy of the album with this bonus 12", but for the rest of us, the double-drop of 'Eminence' and 'Time To Change' is now available as a standalone 12". It's brooding and dramatic, offering a cinematic vision of what d&b can be in the right hands, and who better than a seasoned pro like Dominic Angas?

Review: Wild experimental drum & bass here from longtime scene legend Dom & Roland. Out via his own imprint, this one comes to an exquisite yellow-orange vinyl slab. Its A-sider hears an insanely cool lead bassline filter and sizzle into oblivion, against shockingly compressed yet still-dynamic drum-punches. B-sider 'Drive Me Crazy' is equally a jaw-dropping techstep number, unafraid of indulging wild breakwork and melodic synthery at the same time. Both tracks are as raucous, punchy, unashamed and loud as their titles suggest.
