Review: Power house trio Diesel, Jarvis and Harvey together on a Moton 12"? Yes please! Here we find the respected selectors at their most sedate and discerning on a very special record issued as part of this year's Record Store Day celebrations. Most DJs will immediately gravitate towards "Northbeach" which is a stunning tribute to the man George Duke; they've taken his cosmic key sprinkles and given them a deep, unrelenting chug factor that will drive any floor insane. Flip for the equally beautiful piano-heavy cut "In The City". Gorgeous business from Mr Bassett and his pals!

Review: By now, you should all know Harvey's latest missive, a brooding, dark disco-meets-wonky techno tribute to Berlin's infamous Berghain nightclub. Having already sold by the bucketload, it gets a repress. It's one of Harvey's strongest singles since he returned from the production wilderness a couple of years back. It also boasts the Mediterranean Mix of "Telephone", a typically Balearic chunk of AOR synth-pop/disco silliness complete with stupid lyrics ("touch me on the telephone" - technically impossible, surely?) and an eyes-shut guitar solo. It's fun, of course, but it's the balls-out darkroom A Side that's the real winner.

Review: DJ Harvey's Locussolus return to International Feel with a two track twelve dominated by the storming ode to Berghain, coincidentally arriving at a time when the Berlin club's future is very much in the air. Sounding every bit as good as the best parts of last year's Locussolus album for the label from the Punta Del Este, "Berghain (Darkroom Mix)" offers a chugging, K-hole friendly alternative to the all too prevalent pedestrian nu-disco sound that should appeal to the afterhours heads. "Telephone (Mediterranean Mix)", meanwhile, is a prime slice of Balearic disco-pop in his own inimitable style. Oozing fun, it should get an airing at plenty of festivals this summer.
