Review: Relikt Originals has done a fine job of rolling out plenty of high class house sounds so far. This seventh transmission is another one that finds Hurlee taking us on a trip through the cosmos. 'Break Every Rule' in fact breaks none. It's a traditional house cut with painterly pads smeared over well designed drums but it is well-executed. 'Like Flames' has a heftier punch and hi-tek soul feel with nagging little vocal hooks adding some spice. 'After The Fall' is a more bubbly and laid-back vibe with lush synth layers and 'Closer To You' then completes a warm and heartfelt EP with another future-facing, punchy house cut with subtle vocal soul.

Review: Houseonwax prefer to murmur about their new releases rather than shout about them, with this new one being "inspired by the early white label house music releases," and nothing more. Clearly, this is a plea for us to hear their 20th V/A EP out on its musical merits alone, a request which we'll happily oblige. Four fresh names and label associates are brought to light; Dominic Aquila delivers Rhodesy deep house undulations on 'Daily Briefing', while Lootbeg offers simple kicks n' claps together with barely-heard ice synths on 'Memories'. A dreamy new effort from the Slovenian label.

Review: Dobro are packing the heat in on this second 12", bringing us six refined slices of deep house goodness from some emergent operators to keep tabs on. Hurlee is up first with the honey-coated keys and dusty bump of 'Pel Meu Per Tu', while Igor Gonya whips up some oh so sweet soul licks and straps them to a sprightly, skipping beat. Cosmocomics get seriously soulful, MuteNoise brings a heavy disco edit flavour, Jeff The Fool pitches squarely at the peak time, and Will Sonic rounds things off on a positively dreamy tip without letting the floor-friendly vibes slip.

Review: Hot on the heels of its predecessor, which landed in stores barely over a month ago, Swiss imprint Relikt unleashes the fourth instalment in its ongoing RELIKTWHITE series of multi-artist EPs. As usual, the quality threshold remains high throughout. Lee Onel gets things going with the bustling two-step garage/UK tech-house fusion of 'That Isn't Funny', before Hurlee reaches for sparkling synthesizer chords, garage-influenced tech-house beats and deep space motifs on the genuinely picturesque and emotive 'Black Sunday'. Adding a dash of deep house warmth and funk to a rock-solid tech-house groove is the order of the day on Alex Dam and Zambianicki's 'Glue Line', while Sacha Sonido's 'Wonderland' is a dubby, shoulder-swinging tech-house treat.

Review: Paul Rudder invites his old friend Hurle to join him on the second release on the fledgling RDDR label. The signature sound here is deepness from the two Spanish artists. Rudder is up first with 'Characters', a lithe, late night groover with balmy pads and slick, spaced out pads. 'The Night We Met' is another superbly warm house cut with deep electronic funk and syrupy pads circling the groove. The flip side features a brilliant brace from Hurlee. 'Quiet Valentina' glows all warm with its neon pads and clipped kicks, while 'Renegade Driving' has smeared pads and dubby undercurrents keeping you afloat on a tasteful house vibe.
