Review: Russian techno auteur Alex Danilov joins forces with Georgian upstart HVL to deliver this split EP of high-end, thought-provoking beats of a subtle and refined nature. Danilov kicks things off with the sparse and dubby "Dzeta", which captures a suspended animation of warmth and surrealism in its delicate synths and percussion. HVL delivers a yet more subdued turn with "Winter 1992", working a loosely-hewn drum beat around luxuriant pads and gently bubbling bass. Danilov's "916 AM" heads into more esoteric territory with the phantom analogue tweakery of its synths, while HVL's "Junction To Everywhere" gets the most energetic on the EP with its more pronounced acid inflections.

Review: HVL has landed on many different labels in recent years, but Rough House Rosie will always be something of a spiritual home for the adventurous deep electro and techno craftsman. Across the Hidden Valley EP he displays a fluid, instinctive approach to composition - "Enslaver" rolls out like a live jam but the detail and control embedded in the track is astounding. "Distom Spook" is charged with nervous acidic energy, while "Lemon Stealer" takes things in a more experimental direction with all manner of snaking synth voices wriggling around a crisp electro beat. "Crow Hill" finishes the EP off with a slow, rolling breakbeat groove and hazy pads for a quintessential B2 wind-down session.

Review: HVL is back on Rough House Rosie with a second solo EP. The tracks for this release were recorded in a strange surrounding far away from home and friends. This time everything is more darker, deeper and 'progressive'.

Review: Rough House Rosie regular, HVL presents his alter ego - Kiyadama. The 10th release of the label coincides with its 3 year anniversary. The A side of the Cosmic Hum EP starts with two pieces of mesmerizing acid tracks and finishes with a smooth analog ambience. The B side offers even stronger acid cut 'Machine Terror' and 'There Will Be No Salvation', separated by a refreshing juke track - 'Slammbeat'.
