Review: Lucas Croon is of course a resident at the cult German club Salon des Amateurs and after spellbinding audiences there with his selections he now steps out with a superb first solo album for Ediciones Villasonora. Hals Und Kopf shows what he is all about across ten tracks of mutant electronics, spaced-out dub, twisted breaks, Balearic bliss and cinematic kosmische. It is a moody but alluring listen with plenty of rich percussive textures and wonky rhythms all being utterly timeless yet somehow futuristic all at the same time. A superb album of music as good for body as it is for head.
