Bongani GiveThanks - "Indoda" (African Repraise) (4:11)
Moe Fabrik - "Sassy Boi" (4:39)
Sam Irl - "Changes" (6:14)
Steve Spacek - "Do U Want My Lov" (3:30)
Feater - "Cosmic Dust" (6:19)
Abase - "Fallen Statues" (5:56)
Review: Munich's Jazz & Milk label has now been releasing music for 15 years. As a result, founder Dusty is in a celebratory mood and has decided to offer-up this compilation style EP of previously unreleased treats from label artists old and new. Fusing organic and electronic instrumentation while fusing a myriad of interconnected styles, the EP's six tracks offer an excellent snapshot of the label's distinctive sound. Our picks include the sun-kissed Afro-South American fusion of Bongani Give Thanks' 'Indoda (African Reprise)', the bruk-up soul of Moe Fabrik's brilliant 'Sassy Boy', the intergalactic future soul shuffle of Steve Spacek's superb 'Do You Want My Love' and the sub-heavy Latin house percussion-fest that is Abase's excellent closing cut, 'Fallen Statues'.

You Don't Feel Enough (5:50)
You Don't Feel Enough (Session Victim remix) (5:02)
Review: When the admirable Jazz & Milk label launched its 12" Jams series last month, it was with an EP that brought together label boss Dusty and long-time pal Sam IRL. For volume two, the latter has gone solo. In many ways, "You Don't Feel Enough" is an echo from the past, featuring as it does skipping, West London style broken beats, raw analogue bass and some killer jazz-funk instrumentation. Yet that style has been making a comeback in recent times, and the track has a similar vibe to recent EPs from Kaidi Tatham, Dego and the rest of the 2000 Black crew. On the flipside, German heavyweights Session Victim deliver their interpretation, which re-casts the track as a drowsy and jazzy chunk of wavy deep house.

Melting Memories (4:45)
Forward (Interlude) (2:48)
Suave (4:15)
Meander (6:31)
Prime (Interlude) (2:38)
Calm (4:57)
Review: Founded in 2014 by the fantastic French-producer S3A, this release follows releases by Byron The Aquarius, Neue Grafik, Cuthead and Henry L with an absolutely killer start to 2017. Vienna's Sam IRL is abck with more sultry deep house sounds on the Melting Memories EP. The Sampling As An Art imprint continues its ascension as one of the finest new labels in highly intelligent dancefloor sounds. The title track is testament to this, "Forward (Interlude)" goes for some dusty hip
-hop dopeness and "Suave" merges sensibilites of both previous tracks wonderfully much like the Money $ex crew out of Berlin can. Final track "Calm" sounds vaguely familiar too: think Raw Cuts era Motor City Drum Ensemble.. and that's a compliment!

Tea & Jay (6:27)
Review:  Bavaria via Vienna's Sam IRL is back with more dusty deep house and disco antics on Raw Land. This is highly recommended for anyone into Motor City Drum Ensemble's Raw Cuts series or Glenn Astro and Max Graef's Money $ex dirty MPC driven vibes. There's some great stuff on here such as the sexy late night deep groove of the title track, the crusty hip-hop of "Day Break", "Small Things" and its classic midwest vibe reminiscent of old Terrence Parker and closer "Tea & Jay" whose swirling Rhodes and syncopated rhythm checks the smooth vibes of KDJ off the list too. Impressive!

Review: The 21 years old half German-American from lower Bavaria started playing piano at the age of 5. He started producing electronic music about 4-5 years ago and had his first release on "Pulverising! Cocoa" in June 2006. Since then he hasn't been lazy. Here he brings a mixture of broken beat, afro and ragga blended with organic and analog instrumentation.

Pick Up The Pieces (6:55)
Drift (6:09)
Review: Jazz & Milk pay homage to the dancefloor with the a brand new series that covets 12" muscles made to flex on the finest of systems. No airs, graces or bold sentiments - just straight up, heads-down grooves. Jazz & Milk bossman Dusty and the unstoppable Sam IRL lead by example with two fine examples of classic deep house. There's a wry Chicago air to "Pick Up The Pieces" with a bubbling analogue bass, roaming percussive shakes and timeless keys. "Drift" takes us deeper into the zone with its cascading warm chords and incessant funk groove. Complete with silk screen printed sleeve.

Oceanic - "Parallel Lines Of Stripes" (7:59)
Gilb'R - "Cosmogonie" (6:28)
Lucas Croon - "Threshold Stimulus" (6:25)
Neuzeitliche Bodenbelage & Sam Irl - "Faeden" (5:35)
Review: Earlier in the year, Fantastic Twins' Julienne Dessagne offered up the first volume in a new series of multi-artist EPs with a decidedly psychedelic electronic bent. Four months on, she's assembled another team of musical miscreants to deliver more audio "Microdosing". Oceanic kicks things off with the Steve Reich style melodic loops and gently pulsating electronic rhythms of "Parallel Lines Of Stripes", before Versatile Records founder Gilb'R dives deep into swirling ambient waters via the multi-speed oddness of "Cosmogonie". Over on side B, Lucas Croon fuses post-dubstep rhythms, skittish drum solos, twisted acid lines and intergalactic electronics on "Threshold Stimulus", while Neuzeitliche Bodenbelage and Sam Irl join forces for the kosmiche throb of "Faeden".
