Gerardo Frisina is back on Schema with his fifth album, “Movement”. This work explores new territories: while the Afro-Cuban roots of Gerardo's trademark sound are immediately recognizable, this work conveys a more Afro-Funk approach. Manu Dibango and Fela Kuti are obvious references of the 12 pieces composing the album - but the sound summarizes a richer musical experience, portraying endless listening sessions and experiments with different music culture.

After working with the music of Pantaleon Perez Prado (brother of famous king of the Mambo) we decided to re-press these two albums he recorded in Italy: Latin hot rhythms, funk grooves and vibes for the dancefloor provided by some very talented Italian players...
