◉ February's 2019 Chart (Ιmagine it like a DJ set)
★ This month's chart is strictly B A L E A R I C. No1 ‘’Mediterranean Africa’’, it will be a desert island 12'' compilation for me, one of the few records that will take with me when i will get there. Fabrizio Fattori’s sound was extremely rich, vibrant, colourful, a pure sun-kissed Mediterranean coast treasure. African and Italo disco has a binary living on this release(s) but the flute, sax, vocal samples and percussions demonstrates the perfect one sound, the Balearic sound.
S&W's triumphant Balearic kaleidoscope is a representative vision of the sound of the era today. From the in front of the beach "Arrival At The Shore" 'til the bedroom 'sounded like demo' ''Homecoming'' ''A Weekend Far Out'' glue the pieces together of pseudo-jazz, tropical new age, Mediterranean breeze and snazzy slow-dancing vibe of something like disco, boogie and deep house that we all call Balearic.
Lamellen's ''Monty Roberts'' 12'' What a debut release!
Lucas Croon. Did you miss him? Still drunk here after the hangover of his previous 12’’ on Themes For Great Cities and he’s already back with another stellar 12’’ full of future retro textures and explorations galore!
◉ Casa Del Sol #109 ''A Palm In The House'' Edition: https://www.mixcloud.com/djnova/casa-del-sol-109/ charted 13th in the #Balearic mixcloud charts.
