MAX DURANTE

He began his professional dj career in 1987 in Rome.
That makes it exactly 21 years that he is behind the desk and makes us sweat.
Appreciated for his technique and for his ability to mix groove and experimentation, he is one of the greatest exponents of quality electronic music '' MADE In ITALY '', beloved and respected both inside and outside Italy.
In 1991/92, together with the D'arcangelo brothers, he produced his first record projects on Hot Trax (acv sub-label), the first Italian techno label. Respected for his record productions and for his ability in the mix, he has produced more than 25 records and he has realized around 100 tracks on the best international labels. He reached the first place in the DMC English chart with his parallel record project called MEKA on the Some Bizarre records, the legendary English label that has launched DEPECHE Mode, MARC ALMOND, Cabaret VOLTAIRE, etc...
In 1998 in the daily newspaper '' NEUE ZUERCHER ZEITUNG '' of Zurich, the Swiss journalist LILIAN FELLMANN wrote an article on MAX DURANTE :
''his hands are so fast that it is difficult to follow his movements, his scratches are balm for the eyes and for the ears ''...
In 2002 THE WIRE ''the English magazine of avant-garde'' named him the most interesting DJ in Europe and the best artist during the BIOS festival in Athens (Greece).
In 2003 he produced a great electro record with his friend KEITH TUCKER (AUX88) on the English label of BILLY NASTY the ELECTRIX RECORDS.
This record has been named the best electro record of the year 2000 and
it will remain an electro hit.
International DJ's, such as LAURENT GARNIER, ROLANDO, TIGA, THE HACKER, etc... have simply defined this record as a marvelous record to have.
With this record he has obtained such a great success that he was invited to play in the legendary FABRIC club in London, where they still talk of his redhot session...
