Pela Internet/Marengo In Love
Cat: SCRULSD 005. Rel: 18 Nov 24
Tony Lavrutz & Scruscru - "Pela Internet"
DJ Pecan - "Marengo In Love"
Review: Scruniversal hit gold once more with this one from the label head Scruscru as well as Tony Lavurtz and DJ Pecan. This series is all about re-edits and reworks of old and rare records from Scru's friends' collections and first off is 'Pela Internet', a brilliantly sunny and percussive Brazilian number with great instrumentals and steamy Portuguese vocals. DJ Pecan steps up on the B-side with 'Marengo In Love' which is a more romantic sound for when the sun has gone down and you want to get up close and personal and gaze up at the stars while a sultry slow-motion funk groove unfolds.

Review: The MC was one of a kind. His legend lives on through his work which here gets served up on new label Doom in instrumental form. 'Saffron' (MF instrumental) is a silky late-night sound with warm melancholic chords and subtle boom-bap beats. On the flip, things get more jazzy with the expressive trumpets and more raw broken beat patterns of 'Arrow Root' (MF instrumental). It's a timeless and sophisticated sound that will woo any listener into a calming mood and comes on a limited 7".

Review: Adding to the immense new influx of Nujabes reissues comes this 6x7" box-set from Starbase Japan, which covers the entirety of the lo-fi hip-hop pioneer's original soundtrack contributions to the storied Samurai Champloo soundtrack. A classic anime series based on the bloody travails of samurai, and set in Edo-period Japan, Samurai Champloo is perhaps best known by its soundtrack, which consists almost entirely, and at first seemingly incongruously, of instrumental hip-hop - while the temporal disjunct of diegetic content and music might've seemed rum to some, true heads get the intuitive vibe; the combo was a compelling one, the real deal, and it was unsurprisingly crafted by Nujabes alone. This box-set consists entirely of 7"s, and includes the same songs and background music heard in the original series, as well as a special run of merch, in celebration of the series' 20th anniversary.

Review: Who knew that the Austrian underground of the 1980s produced some genuinely brilliant - and some would say unlikely - records? Well, Editions Hawara crew members Julian Horn, Jonny Nemetz and Fabio Wolkenstein did - hence this fine, perfectly formed compilation. Starting off with the shuffling, jazz guitar laden sunshine of "Love is a Game' by Crumbs - a genuine blue-eyed soul treat - the trio showcase an enticing blend of proto-Balearic excellence (Will Sanders' 'Secret Love'), utra-deep alternative synth-pop ('Zonenzeit' by Anonym), eccentric electrofunk (Surprise's 'Wow'), German-language boogie badness ('Die Reise' by Appendix), smooth dancefloor jazz-funk (M-Convention's lightly proto-house tinged 'Glaserne Mouern') and big production numbers that offer nods to the early 80s work of Cologne outfit Dunkelziffer (She and the Band's 'Too Much Too Soon').

Review: Robot 84 has fired up his machines and kicked out four superb new jams for this latest Magic Wand release. Opener 'AGAL' is a slow, percolating jam with shimmery synths and squelchy bass then 'Galaxies' brings some dusty broken beats and sugar chords for a nice laidback vibe. 'Feels Good' is another loose-limbed rhythm with wispy pads, DIY percussive sounds and bass that is rich in reverb. Last of all is 'Where Is The Dub' which slows things right to a crawl with plucked guitars and loads more echo to sink into.

Spielplatz (Quiet Village Deep Space dub)
Review: Matt Edwards and Joel Martin have done many fantastic remixes as Quiet Village, but little tops their 2007 'deep space' version of Mudd's 'Spielplatz'. Originally released on a relatively limited 12" by U.S label Rong Music, it reimagined the track as an epic slow-motion chugger that combined cosmic, spaced-out, turn-of-the-90s deep house synth sounds and metronomic dub disco bass with locked-in beats, echo-laden (sampled) spoken word vocals and all manner of intergalactic effects. This essential (and once again highly limited) reissue boasts the duo's famous - and deliciously epic - original 'Deep Space Dub' on side B, with the pair's vocal free (and previously unreleased) 'instrumental mix' on side A. A super-slow, ultra-deep house classic!

The Most Balearic Record In The World
Balearic Sex Beat
Review: In an era where "Balearic" is a hotly clamoured-over designation, and in which a maelstrom of producers vie for their music to "nail" the Balearic sound, in pursuit of a reemergent clout, Harri Pierson marks himself out among the throng with the title 'The Most Balearic Record In The World'. The sense of knowing irony is both palpable and apt for the genre, which in style refuses to take itself too seriously; this is only bolstered by the equally humoured, fly-on-the-wall B-side title 'Balearic Sex Beat' too. The former track blends debonair vocal breaths and croons with thrumming bass and ploddings, while the latter pares things back for an extended dub, upon which only the faintest erotic, verging on salivary excitations are heard overlaid.

Review: Avidya is back with a third EP to build on the head-turning success of the first two and it is another trip to the outer edges of the dancefloor. Odopt from Born Free and 777 Recordings kicks off with a snappy cut that is deceptively simple but devastatingly effective with its gurgling and acidic bass. Remotif is a fast-rising talent who impresses with the heavy techno sludge of 'HAJKSD15' and Full Circle aka Alexis Le Tan and Joakim link with Kris Baha to offer a remix that is all twitchy electrons, busted drum loops and fizzing pads before 53X's 'Simulaatio' is another brilliantly loose jumbled of wiry electronics, sci-fi effects and techno chug for a fantastic closing beatdown.

Review: The Beloved's Conscience, originally released in 1993, is set for a long-awaited reissue as a 2xLP, showcasing its timeless influence on the electronic music scene. This edition brings the iconic singles back to life, with Conscience capturing the era's fusion of pop melodies and dancefloor-ready beats. Tracks like 'Sweet Harmony' and 'Outerspace Girl' still shine, offering a nostalgic yet fresh listening experience. Alongside them, deeper cuts such as 'Celebrate Your Life' and '1000 Years From Today' re-emphasise The Beloved's talent for crafting emotive, euphoric anthems. The 2xLP format gives the album the space it deserves, letting each track breathe in full analogue warmth. This reissue isn't just a nod to the past but a celebration of the group's lasting impact on electronic and dance music. Whether it's the buoyant groove of 'Spirit' or the reflective undertones of 'Lose Yourself In Me,' Conscience is as much a piece of dance music history as it is a timeless classic.

Review: It's been seven years since Freeform Jazz was released as a new frontier for Uyama Hiroto. Now hearing Japanese label Roph return to the jazz and hip-hop artist receive a second round of recognition, we get a thorough reminder of the directions in which jazz can be taken when not mired neither sophistry nor overcomplexity; the liners on this one remind us, likewise, of the reversals and flip-sides of every substance on Earth, that "If there is no movement, there is no stillness, and on the flip side, if there is no stillness, there is no movement." Hiroto's last record, Freeform Jazz, was his obverse side to Breath Of Love; one is duskier than the other, but the works are inseparable - so make sure you listen to the former too. Here though, we hear Hiroto synergise with participating artists Substantial and J Soul, both based in Virginia, as well as Marter and Reinaria; all the artists reign supreme over one wax side each, casting a healthful vocal light over Hiroto's otherwise impeccable recordings, as though they were each happily-ever-after kingdoms anointed in sound.

Review: Stockport's very own J Walk delivers 'Broken Beauty', a wise musical meditation on the crucial need for beautiful things - people, works of art, you name it - to incorporate some element of ugliness or brokenness. With all tracks in tow produced by Walk aka. Martin Fisher, who controls a massive foundry of instruments and gear - the entire list of over 20 machines has been published online, curios among them being the Boss SYB-5 bass synth pedal, Pocket Operator PO-32 drum machine and even a stylophone for good measure - the resultant Broken Beauty is a fractious but infectious class of tunage; its ten tracks adhere to essential golden means of downbeat chug and cold-waved Balearics, and yet allow such natural beauty to shine without much fuss over polish. If titles like 'Janky Waltz' and 'Botox Fomo' are anything to go by, we may deduce that the attitude going into this one must've been one of gleeful ludicrousness, a key trait to channel if you want to let phaseout guitar pedals flow and freak filtrations wail.

Review: Shining-bright Balearic label Highwood Recordings remark that it's been a while since any music by Cantoma (Phil Mison) has hit their shelves; it's been a full four years since 2020's Into Daylight, though in which time the artist has also laid down two singles, 'Alive' and 'Back Into Daylight', which nonetheless came off the back of the aforementioned record. First Nothing, by contrast, is an entirely new affair, and after its full release in September 2024 comes two new ice-cold sound-shakings by remixer Noche. Here the artist attacks the title track with a blissfully whammied chug, with tremolo'ing Rhodeses on the sixteenths and minim-length breath-pads on the ones. The resident producer brings an electric cabana's breeze on the B-side's ambient remix, powering an otherwise rustic outhouse with minimalist guitar counterpoints run through some soft ampage.

Review: Mark Barrott's Everything Changes, Nothing Ends is a heartfelt journey through life, loss, and love. Released on Anjunadeep Reflections, the album follows his 2023 record Johatsu and sees Barrott channelling his grief into a meditative, moving collection of tracks. Written during his wife's illness, the album reflects the overwhelming sense of isolation and sorrow he felt following her passing in January 2023. "It became my way of coping," Barrott shares. "Coming back to an empty house after a day at the hospital, music was my only comfort." Across Everything Changes, Nothing Ends, Barrott weaves together orchestral, ambient, and jazz textures. Each track, like an audio diary, captures specific emotional moments from those final weeks. There's a tenderness to the arrangementsipeaks of intensity balanced by gentle, soothing passages. Far from simply wallowing in grief, the album embraces acceptance and gratitude, focusing on the beauty of life and its fleeting nature. The result is a deeply personal, genre-blurring record that showcases Barrott's unwavering creativity over a career spanning nearly four decades.

Review: Ultra-vintage reissued psych-pop from Parsley Sound, whose self-titled debut for Mo Wax was one of the label's most prized releases, and yet ended up massively inflated in price due to early sellouts and low pressing numbers. The duo / band made up of Danny Sargassa and Preston Mead are deft emulators of full-band sonics, producing the illusion of a wider ensemble; Parsley Sounds followed the early EPs 'Ease Yourself And Glide' and 'Twilight Mushrooms', but was comparatively much softer on the ears, charming the listener with its herbal pan flutes, downtempo era string segments, and not-too-heavy 70s throwback haunto-pysch cult propulsions. Clearly an early influence of now colossal cognates of the sound like Caribou and Four Tet, Parsley Sounds is essential heads' listening for those who wish to lead a certain uncanny, chintzy still life, yet who also know something of the restless beauty of said life. A5er 'Ocean House' is the expansive ballad that proves this, finding a lo-fi yet cavernous vocal opportunity in an otherwise claustrophobic cranny of sound.

It has been unavailable on vinyl since the early 2000s, hence this much needed 25th anniversary edition. All the familiar favourites are present - the jazzy, string-drenched shuffle of 'Cold Water Music', the club-ready hip-hop cheeriness of 'Ain't Got No Time To Waste (featuring YZ)', the slow-motion head-nod of 'True To Hip-Hop (featuring AG)', the twinkling trip hop wooziness of 'Sail' (with Kate Rogers) and the upbeat excellence of 'Journey To The End of the Night' - and, thanks to a fine remastering job, sound better than ever before.

Review: Belgian-born producer Gratts and pioneering Chicago vocalist Robert Owens first collaborated on 'Brighter Future' back in 2021 after meeting in the streets of Kreuzberg years before. The pair now join forces again for follow up 'Today', a powerful and emotive, 90s inspired deep house cut with layered backings and Owens' lilting affirmations soaring above. The extended club version takes you straight to house music's ecstatic heydays, while the twelve also includes an acapella tool for those singalong moments. On the flip, Mark Hand's slower, soulful rendition takes things into sideroom territory. Finally, 'Mount Olympus', home to the Greek deities, fuses a rattling drum machine, arpeggiated synth lines and a potent analogue bassline - with added bonus beats to bang the box and get weird!

Biancolato - "Resolution" (edit)
Review: We're promised Mellow Magic and that's precisely what we get, across four tracks emerging from disparate corners of the globe but united in a common mission to provide beats that work on the more relaxed end of the dancefloor. Belgian duo Charlotte & Reinhard of Rheinzand fame kick things off with a slow motion Balearic version of a well known 80s MOR classic. Ollie Loudon's 'L.M.T.' finally makes it to vinyl after long being a secret weapon in Gratts' DJ sets, where handclaps and languid strumming meet a gentle but infectious groove. Flip it over for the more tracky affairs, as Japan's Lily Ko makes an impressive debut with 'Pure Rubber', an original mix of disco foundations and always snazzy but never showy 80s synth play. Melbourne's Biancolato finishes things off with understated deep house shuffling that adds just a touch jazzy keys and dreamy, wispy pads.

Saxophones Of Freedom
Review: 'Everything You're About To Hear Is True 3' brings a delightful blend of retro grooves and polished dance tracks, capturing the warmth and charm of 70s and 80s disco and r&b. The opener, 'Inside Of Me', channels the smooth, sophisticated vibe of Alexander O'Neal, with rich r& b influences and a classy early 80s sound that oozes nostalgia. Following this, 'Blue Skies' delivers a lush mix of post-disco and soulful 80s textures, enhanced by a sultry diva vocal performance and vintage production that make it feel both timeless and dynamic. On Side-2, 'Should I' shifts gears with a playful, upbeat fusion of funk and electro, reminiscent of Midnight Star's style, making it perfect for the dancefloor. The EP wraps up with 'Saxophones Of Freedom', a soulful throwback to rare 70s sounds, accentuated by elegant saxophone melodies and a classy, authentic feel. This third edition of 'Everything You're About To Hear Is True' is a well-rounded collection that brings vintage dance music to life.

Review: Quiet Music Under the Moon marks the 2023 debut of Calm, featuring a talented ensemble: Toshitaka Shibata on piano, Yuichiro Kato on saxophone, Tomokazu Sugimoto on upright bass and Kakuei on steel pan. This new collection shifts focus from showcasing virtuosic solos to delivering a meticulously crafted suite of chillout tracks, mostly incorporating "moon" in their titles. The album unfolds like a serene journey through the night, seamlessly transitioning from pieces like 'Drift Into Dreamland' to morning reflections in 'Oyasumi, Ohayo'. The natural sounds of cicadas and gentle summer showers act as connecting threads, enhancing the auditory experience. Musically, the tracks fall into two categories: softly sighing synth melodies reminiscent of '80s cinematic scores and gentle, beatless soundscapes infused with post-rave textures. For example, 'Moonshower' evokes the lush aesthetics of Digital Justice's works, slowed down to a meditative pace. Calm’s signature ambient sound shines throughout, characterised by slowly arching pads and sustained chords that invite contemplation. This clear vinyl edition, complete with an obi strip.

Review: Last year, Quiroga (real name Walter Del Vecchio) returned to Hell Yeah! Recordings with an impressive dose of TB-303-laden dancefloor psychedelia, the superb 'Acid Dropout EP'. 'French Kiss', the title track from his latest EP for the popular Italian imprint, is a more immersive, warm and hazy affair, where sweet female vocal snippets, warming Rhodes riffs and dreamy electronics rise above a shuffling, mid-temp deep house beat and organic-sounding bassline. His trademark acid lines naturally feature on the accompanying 'Baia Club Ambient Version', a shuffling breakbeat affair that takes cues from Italian 'ambient house' (IE dream house) rather than beat-free soundscapes. It is, though, genuinely superb. Turn to the flip for two bonus cuts: the vintage Jazzanova-esque broken house brilliance of 'Ask Coppede' and the deep, Balearic-fired electro shuffle of 'Cala Ventosa'.

Review: Originally released in 2005, Space Shift marked the innovative debut from UK-born, Australia-based artist Steve Spacek. Known for his fusion of soul, electronic, and broken beat, Steve Spacek created a forward-thinking blend of sound with this album. His smooth vocals glide effortlessly over experimental production, weaving through bass-heavy rhythms and glitchy textures. Tracks like 'Dollar', produced by the legendary J Dilla, critiques materialism with a hypnotic groove and is a reimagining of Billy Paul's classic. The collaboration with Dilla showcases Spacek's creative synergy with one of hip-hop's most iconic producers. Other gems like 'Thursday' and 'The Hills' bring lush, atmospheric soundscape that rival some of the best in the genre that year. Now reissued by Spa Recordings, Space Shift includes an unreleased collaboration with J Dilla, 'This One Feels Alright', this re-release reaffirming the album's impact and lasting influence on modern electronic soul.

Review: The Woodentops are long-time Balearic bossmen and peerless party starters and now their music is under the spotlight on this new remixes EP from Hottwerk. It is their tune 'A Pact' that gets four different versions here starting with a nice loose-limbed and percussive house workout from the UK veteran Bushwhacka!. Then Skyscraper HiFi B aka Anglo-Swedish pair Jon Dasilva and Jonas Nilsson offer a remix that slows it right down to a nice downtempo jam with indie vocals and then offer a second remix that is more sleazy and raw with a low-slung house grove topped with acid madness. Last but not least is the label head Spatial Awareness with a remix which glides on silky synths and airy drum loops with some nice trippy vocal touches.

Review: Grains is Boozoo Bajou's 2009 third album; marked out as the duo's most "organic" record, we hear the inimitable blends of Louisiana Cajun, Caribbean music and electronica, once again laid bare by the pioneering pairing of Peter Heider and Florian Seyberth. Still taking after their local Laurel Canyon as their muse, Heider and Seyberth crafted a lush yet ruddy record 15 years ago, relying on the bare ability to tenderise vocals and guitar, over and above any production trickery (though the record is relatively polished too). Grains heralds a predominantly trip hop direction when the beats aren't softened, with 'Signs' serving as the prime example.

Review: Maribou State's Hallucinating Love is their first record in over five years, following 2019's acclaimed Kingdom In Colour (which concluded the mid-to-late 2010s in which the pair shot to superstardom). Centring on one core theme: togetherness, it tells the fraught yet reinvigorating tale of late mental health diagnoses, pandemic lockdowns, peaks and troughs of inspiration, rest and recovery and time spent honing and reforming their core craft. Battling several several health problems and impasses, the duo of Chris Davids and Liam Ivory have beaten the odds here, once again crafting a wonder of a dance record, which builds on their distinctive downbeat-upbeat funk-pop style whilst still forming a swell sonic backbone for what is sure to be one of the dewiest of oncoming British festival seasons, spring and summer 2025.

Untitled#6
Review: Pieter Kock shows us how it's done with The End II, a fantastic new experimental beats LP manifested on the Macadam Mambo label, in a move that has been described as "quite unexpected". A doyen of post-10s German kraut-tronics, Kock first found his savvy as a releaser of retrofutural cassette tapes for various outlets - the likes of RIO, Meakusma and Moonwalk X - all of which assumed album form (to date, Kock has not released a single single or EP). Macadam Mambo offer a suggestion as to why this is: "all the demos that he sent were so good that there was no question about doing something." If by "doing something" you mean releasing over 16 strident club-churners in the style of far leftfield dub, synthpunk and krauty Krankenschaften, you've made no mistake. Dive into any one of these exotic exo-treats, and your eyes will just as surely turn helical.

Review: Ride's Andy Bell - recording under his electronic alter ego Glok - and producer and Insult to Injury label boss Timothy Clerkin join forces for Alliance, a brand new seven-track album released through Bytes. Both artists let their hair down for a freewheeling foray through freak-sonics, recalling every influence from James Holden to Boards of Canada to Death In Vegas, for a thorough canter come gallop through and in anabranched veins of Balearica, cosmic disco, shoegaze and techno. After some collaborative exchanges online, and a momentous in-person meeting at the funeral of legend Andrew Weatherall, Bell and Clerkin have since kept dutifully in touch, fashioning relentless downbeat chugs driven by amped distortion, wonderstruck arpeggiations and heavenly vox lines. From the buzzing 'Empyrean' to the neo-Balearadelican 'E-Theme', this is a massive album whose influences clock in at too many to count, and yet manage to bottle them all into a potent carbonated brimmer.

Review: Five years on from its initial release in November 2019, London experimental electronic artist turned avant-pop producer Vegyn shares an anniversary reissue of his sophomore record, Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds. The second to hit the multi-format shelves after the PLZ label debut All Bad Things Have Ended, Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds broke away from the former record's dancier orientation for a longer-form, ludic lollop through 16 tastefully detuned, light-but-driven close-ups. Stylistically, the tracks take after many a then already-prominent figurehead of the London scene: easily file big hitter 'It's Nice To Be Alive' next to Mount Kimbie, though be careful not to pigeonhole the record too soon, for the heads' choices 'Debold', 'When I Strike...' and 'Fake Life' indulge a moodier cyberpunk streak, veering tricksier and trappier on the drums, and increasingly bulbous, bass-spread and neon on the pads.

Review: Ivanna Ivanivna returns to Companion with her debut full-length release as Space Biology, titled Osmosis. Following the success of her single 'Pulsar' from Companion Collection II, this six-track extended EP further showcases the Ukrainian producer's remarkable creativity and technical prowess. Osmosis offers an excellent blend of lysergic electronica, exploring the fluid realms of dub, downtempo and IDM. The pulsating rhythms are punctuated by muted breaks and airy high frequencies that dance playfully over wobbly, dub-infused basslines. Rich, textural pads envelop sweeping synth melodies, while subtle grooves emerge, guiding listeners through the ethereal soundscape. This release encapsulates a sense of mysticism, inviting introspection and urging us to reflect on our consciousness. It creates an auditory journey that allows our minds to drift among the stars while grounding us with its deep low-end fullness, reconnecting us to the world around us.

Review: Uomo Meccanico also known as Nicola Altieri is a producer from Naples. He dropped this ep on IIB and we were blown away. Odyssey is a heads down smoke machine trip. Arpy baseline and a proper old style sample . Can't wait to hear on a big system. Strange Interferences is a straight up acid sleazebomb, squelching like a wet flip flop and again perfect sample technique. HOUSE! It's All Magic No Tricks drops the tempo and a syrupy sample.over Basement style bass and melodies, Strangely familiar but alien. La Guardia De La Luz (who we are big fans of here at IIB) take us on a slow drive through the desert, San Pedro dream style, slo mo brooding and massively balearic. A real gem to finish off one of our favourite ever releases

Fabric Presents Laurent Garnier (Deluxe Edition)
Cat: FABRIC 223LE. Rel: 29 Nov 24
Review: Fabric Presents Laurent Garnier is a remarkable 4 CD compilation that captures the legendary French DJ's unmatched knack for selecting the finest in deep techno and house. With over 35 years in the industry, Garnier’s sets have become synonymous with dancefloor transcendence and this collection is no exception. Here, Garnier focuses exclusively on fresh releases, reflecting his continued pulse on contemporary techno. Notable tracks include Deon Cole's infectious 'Where The Freaks At', the haunting atmospheres of Culoe De Song’s 'Aftermath' and Anane’s bold reinterpretation of 'Walking On Thin Ice'. Each vinyl side flows seamlessly, packed with standout moments, from the vibrant collaboration 'Shella Verse' by Sammy Virji & Flowdan to Equiknoxx’s dynamic 'Urban Snare Cypher'. While Laurent’s sets are known for bridging the genre’s past and present, this collection highlights only new music, showcasing Garnier's enduring influence and impeccable taste. Fabric Presents Laurent Garnier is an essential snapshot of the genre's current sound, proving that Laurent’s curatorial skills remain as sharp and relevant as ever. This compilation is a must for anyone invested in quality techno and house music.

Review: Mar De Novo is a mainstay of the Vinyl Only label which is now almost up to release number 20. As always these are magnificent beats that blend great invention with a healthy respect for disco days gone by and they are all made in what must be a studio jam-packed with analogue gear from all across the ages. 'Instant Humidity' has plenty of characterful synth details that are freaky and playful, 'Call Me' pairs stepping disco beats with super sweet vocals and 'Paraggi' is a blissed-out seaside gem. 'Progression' heady back to the club with strobe-lit disco arps, 'Get A Way' pairs plunging basslines with cosmic keys and another great vocal and 'Quiet Down' rounds out with another horizontal downbeat disco gem.

Review: Jay-Jay Johanson's 1998 album Tattoo is a great fusion of trip-hop, jazz and electronic music, showcasing the Swedish singer-songwriter's signature melancholic sound. With standout tracks like 'Quel Dommage' and 'Even In The Darkest Hour', Johanson's smooth vocals glide over atmospheric production, creating a moody, cinematic style. The downtempo beats, lush arrangements and introspective lyrics reflect his artistic talent. Tattoo expertly blends jazz noir and electronic influences, resulting in hauntingly elegant soundscapes that resonate with emotional depth. This album is a defining moment in Johanson's career, marking his transition to a more experimental and abstract sound. The tracks oscillate between lounge music and techno with a mellow yet vibrant palette perfect for discerning listeners seeking something fresh and intriguing. For fans of ambient techno and trip-hop, particularly those who enjoy artists like Bjork and Portishead, Tattoo is a timeless gem. This new pressing, available on 180-gram audiophile gold vinyl with an insert, enhances the listening experience, making it an essential addition to any collection. Dive into Jay-Jay Johanson's Tattoo for an evocative journey through the unique sound of the late 90s.
