  3. Kosh - "Chaos In The City"
  4. James Shinra - "Launch"
Review: The fourth record in the Exit Planet Earth series features four more exclusive cuts designed for space travel.A

Exit Planet Earth - Hydrogen opens with no-nonsense electro from a master of the trade Sync 24 from Cultivated Electronics. 'The Rising' is an expertly produced bass heavy heater that is crying out to be played on a big rig. Representing Athe Melbourne chapter of the Lizard Tech Militia Reptant teams up with Dashiell for a mutant hybrid electro funk cut - 'Gortexia'.A

On the flip Moroccan heavy hitter Kosh returns to 20/20 Vision following his debut EPl 'Vicious Love'. Kosh offers up an intoxicating blend of deep melodic electro called 'Chaos in the City'. Wrapping the release up is James Shinra returning after his killer 'On & On' EP. Shinra rounds up this edition with an outstanding, unique composition 'Launch' that balances trademark melodies with a truly devastating distorted kick heavy reminiscent of classic Aphex Twin.

Review: In its 20th year, Ralph Lawson's Leeds based label has done a fine job of revamping its sound and its roster. After many years of being hugely and tastefully eclectic, there seems to have been a real focus on electro this year with the boss himself serving up masterful mixes of such sounds for his on going radio shows. 214 keeps up the good work with a nice deep offering here. 'Alpenglow' is all muted sci-fi synth sand jittery beats to get you going then 'Exposure To Wind' keeps you afloat between distant planets. 'Quick Start' is a turbocharged workout with lovely bubbling bass and 'The Night's Shift' then gets slow, sludgy, and superb.

Hidden Realms (140 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: INFILTRATE 08.
  1. Hidden Realms
  2. I Guess You Know
  3. Sonically Entwined
  4. Electronic Feelings
Review: Inflitrate's electro mission continues unabated with this new drop from Maltese producer Sound Synthesis. He's previously been spotted on Fundamental, Gated and Nebulae amongst others, and he's coming correct with four brand new cuts right here. This is classically executed electro with a warm middle that will appeal to fans of Radioactive Man's early material. "Hidden Realms" is a brooding yet cosy workout, while "I Guess You Know" heads into more sparkling, emotive territory, and "Sonically Entwined" lets in a little Kraftwerkian noir. "Electronic Feelings" is a more downcast track to close out the 12", but there's still plenty of punch in the broken beat powering the track.

The up front electro of the title track is born out of a yearning for a return to club dance floors while the two on the flip explore deep emotional landscapes through his trademark melodic electro sound.

With previous releases on Batrachian, AC Records and Touched Electronix, MOY comes in hard with a perfect start for this new label. With 4 cuts of deep and emotional music the London producer weaves a rich tapestry which straddles deep house, electro and breakbeats with ease, all tied together with cosmic acid lines for the mind and bass lines for the waistlines... this EP has it all!

Review: BODY MVMT is three releases in now and really hitting its stride. The label, an extension of Robert James' party brand, is all about quality electronic music; house, techno, electro, disco... reflecting the ethos of Rob's popular shindigs. On this third release, The Vimto Paradox, British producer Harry Wills steps up with three original cuts, plus a remix from his buddy Tim Schlockermann. Harry's back catalogue includes releases with Holding Hands, Subsequent, Orbital London and tons more. His penchant for analogue funk evident across his excellent discography and this fresh new EP...

Review: Celebrating his 25th year as a producer and DJ, London's Silverlining announces his first ever double-vinyl artist project, 'Simulacra', a collection of emotive yet powerful body music fresh from his South London studio. Known for his diverse and bassline-driven grooves, this work sees him straddle between the stripped-back house and techno that we have come to adore on his acclaimed Silverlining Dubs series, with eclectic forays into territories of electronic musicality unexplored by him until now. Adopting a similar analogue workflow and kit-list to that used for his 1990s productions, the collection retains his trademark sonic brilliance, whilst demonstrating, once again, that his ideas are far from running out.

Subtly interwoven into its mood and lyrics, the album explores themes of dependence on misrecognised digital identities, and the importance of real world tangibility. For the album's artwork, Silverlining has collaborated with celebrated print-making artist, Leonie Bradley, whose work explores similar themes.

This versatile collection of new music from Silverlining caters both for tasteful record collectors, and deeper DJs alike, with its extensive yet consistent spectrum of flavours.

  1. Dance System
  2. The Dredwerkz

  4. End Theme
Review: Marco Lazovic has been burning up dancefloors for over four years with his potent blend of house grooves and feisty jungle breakbeats, and so it continues on this new drop for Craft Music. "Dance System" is predominantly shaped out by gorgeous Detroit-inspired synths, but there's also some seriously spicy breaks choppage going off throughout the track. "The Dredwerkz" is a tight and punchy electro jam with plenty of melodic delights fluttering around the 808 drums, while "Daydreaming" gets further up the tempo range to outright ambient jungle a la early Good Looking. "End Theme" stays in jungle mode for an acute exercise in classic rollage.

  1. Carl Finlow - "The Oberth Effect"
  2. Plant43 - "Forcefield Deactivation"
  3. Mr Ho & Xiaolin - "No Change To How I Feel"
  4. Alfred - "Galaxy Quest"
Review: The Exit Planet Earth vinyl series continues onto it's 5th edition with a finely balanced release of electro, techno and breakbeat cuts.A

Carl Finlow - The Oberth Effect kicks off the record with a mind bending trip to the dark side of electro, delivering a masterclass in multi-layered synth sound design, rolling bass lines and Finlow's expert production. A fellow electro master Plant43 delivers his debut release for 20/20 Vision - Forcefield Deactivation following a pioneering run of records over many years for Semantica, Bleep43 and Cultivated Electronics.A

Crossing continents to Asia, the flip side features a collaboration between Hong Kong based producers Mr. Ho & Xiaolin (Klasse Wrecks). 'No Change To How I Feel' is a unique sign of the times. A deep techno track served with a heavy 4/4 kick, perpetually evolving arpeggios, quick fire hats and a haunting vocal. Leeds based producer Alfred completes the release with a sound forged from intricate drum sequencing and strong chords and melodies. Alfred is an exciting new talent that manages to connect the dots between breakbeat and electro.

Review: We are very happy to announce Cartulis Music sub-label, ALT Records. For their first pressing label owner Unai Trotti steps up alongside Slovenian power force Eliaz for a joint release. Sparkling Yoghurt EP presents two original tracks from each producer. Eliaz - Ashait 86 is a stripped back acid groover that can ignite any dancefloor. His other track "S" is a stomping house 8 minute bomb that will definetly keep things going. Unai Trotti's - Un Nuevo Despertar is a perfect fusion of Electro/Breakbeat with minimal influence. One for the heads. On "Zumo de Grube" he delivers a more fluid 4x4 techno track with flawless percussion. HOT TIP!

  4. Decay
Review: Since launching in 2018, Constant Sound's electro-fired offshoot Inflitrate has put out some superb music from artists including such admired old hands as Borai, London Modular Alliance and Ste Roberts. On the label's first missive of 2021, it welcomes Relpek AKA Constant Sound regular Kepler (both aliases of Leeds-based Matthew Farrow). What we get is a series of well-made and well thought out electro numbers that combine punchy beats and fuzzy analogue basslines with a variety of spacey and ear-catching musical elements (lead lines, chords, riffs etc). Rumbling and far-sighted A-side cuts 'Nova' and 'Binary' are arguably the toughest and most club-ready, while 'Celestial' and 'Delay' are a little deeper and more melancholic in tone. Impressive stuff all told.

Review:

Monotone is setting out on a mission to make 2020 one of the most productive years of the 19 since its inception. Exzakt teams up with fellow Electro Breaks legend, BFX and the output is very strong. Originally produced for submission to an Egyptian Lover compilation, Nasty girl is laced with vocoder vocals as well as a female voice over hard hitting bass beats and deep baselines. This is a tune tailored for the club however retains its depth like many Exzakt & BFX tunes usually do. With Nasty Beats is the instrumental. As if Side A comes just as strong. Starting with BFX, Jelly offers his signature melodic sound along with low end frequencies all culminating into a solid Electro tune. Finally a deep cut from Exzakt, Taking Over The System is a perfect end to this future classic vinyl.

  4. Shadow In The Maze
Review: The 9th release on BLKMARKET MUSIC is the second follow up release by Taimur, Amo, and Ostara under their T.A.O. alias. TAO stands for the absolute principle underlying the universe, combining within itself the principles of yin and yang and signifying the way, or code of behavior, that is in harmony with the natural order. On the A side, the opening A1 breakbeat track 'Ready Set Flow' keeps on building and building with Ostara on the vox. The track sets the tone for a party with sleaze and constant tease. The A2 electro turns into techno on the track 'Sevn', a journey into time and space. On the B side, B1 is a minimal after-hours space nugget that takes you 'To the Moon.' B2 closes out the EP with a hypnotic and twisted 4 on the floor track 'Shadow In the Maze.'

Review: Horse Time is the first release from Phonopsia's new label - Horse Category. As a statement of intent for the sounds to come, this debut record shows the breadth of Phonopsia's craft in the studio looking to not be limited by genre or tempo. Across the EP he delivers a slow techno track with housey leanings, a room shaking minimal techno track, up-tempo electro wigged out with oddball elements, and a down-tempo finale that abuses time. Phonopsia has been making and playing music for a good number of years and was Sud Electronic resident from 2007-2009 and regular guest for Bleep43 from 2002-2010.
