Synth module
Notes: This module is a eurorack version of the 16n Faderbank, implemented with 16 CV inputs and some other smart add ons. Almost everything is in the front panel.

This new version is oriented for firmware tweaks and future expansions, still being fully compatible with the 16n and the previous Sweet Sixteen.

There are 16 channels, which can be used as:
Midi controller
Manual CV generator (0 to 8v range)
Attenuator

The Midi CC number and channels can be different for the TRS jack and the USB port. The firmware has been tweaked to allow also Pitch Bend, which is pretty handy because you can get much better resolution through Midi (from min to max values Midi CCs have 128 steps and Pitch Bend has a resolution of 16.384 steps).

The voltage generated by every fader is up to 8v, which is good enough to control eurorack modules (like wide open/close the cutoff frequency of a filter etc).

In the midi CC messages, 0 volts will correspond to a value of 0, and 8 volts to a value of 127. But the CV to Midi can handle also negative voltages, for such task there are 4 slide switches (1 for every 4 faders) that swaps the internal voltage reference in a way that, when activated, 0 volts will be the middle position of the midi controller, -4 volts the minimum value and +4 volts the maximum. Those switches only affect the Midi/i2C outs, CV outs won't be affected by them in any way.

If you plug in a bigger voltage source (like a -5v+5v LFO or a 10v envelope) the fader will work as attenuator, so you'll be able to adapt how that signal affects the Midi CC out, covering the whole Midi CC range, saturating the waveform or just affecting it briefly.

Panel USB port is type B, which seems to be stronger than mini or micro ones.

i2C could connect directly to an ER-301, monome Ansible or a monome Teletype.

The Teensy can be powered via the internal regulator or the +5v eurorack rail (selectable via a switch on the back).

The partial kit comes with all SMD populated, so only through hole components requires soldering work.

Synth module
Notes: This is a dual sequencer, nothing really new but fun to play with. Oriented to facilitate the interaction of both sequencers in order to get more complex patterns and polyrhythms. Very "hands on" CV source & good complement for more complex digital sequencers like Eloquencer, Performer etc.

There are 3 GLOBAL STYLES:
DUAL (2 totally independent 8 step sequencers)
PARALLEL (one sequencer with 2 rows of CV and 8 steps)
SINGLE (one sequencer with 16 steps)

There are 2 dedicated buttons (and trigger inputs) to change the sequencer behaviour, pressing 1 button will cycle between the play modes, pressing 2 buttons will do it within the global styles.

Each sequencer has:
8 faders & 8 switches (1 per step)
1 master fader
1 switch for manual step & reset
clock, reset and mode inputs
2 gate outs (activated with the switches, center position is no gate)
1 cv out (0 +8 volts range, unquantized)

There is also an output which is the sum of the 2 CVs of both sequencers and 2 gate outs which are a combination of both sequencer gate lines, pretty handy if it's being used as a 16 steps single sequencer but also interesting when used in dual style.

8 position rotary switch to control the number of steps of the second sequencer, but also other switch allows to send that "reset" signal to the first sequencer instead of the second one, useful for the single 16 step style or to make both sequencers interact.

It has 2 slew limiter circuits with input and output, so they can be used independently, by default processing the CV out of each sequencer, forcing the slew to the max will give as result like a weird-synched LFO, but also the gate outs could be plugged in to get like rudimentary envelopes.

The first sequencer has CV control over step repetition, there's a switch to select the CV IN or the second sequencer as source for such purpose (the master fader has no effect over this, so the 8 lines of the faders correspond to the step repetition, from 1 clock per step to 8) Than means that when used in parallel style the lower row of faders could control the step duration, Metropolis or System 100m style.

Two jumper in the back of the module allows to use the "mode 2" input as reversed CV sum output, giving a total of 6 CV and 6 GATE outs.

The US-2x2HR is a member of the Tascam US-HR series of high-resolution USB audio interfaces. It provides two mic/line/instrument switchable inputs and two balanced line outputs as well as MIDI I/O to your Windows or Mac computer or your iPhone or iPad. The compact US-2x2HR incorporates a wealth of features, including high audio resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz, ultra-low latency with a Windows buffer size starting at four samples, Ultra-HDDA mic preamplifiers with 48-volt phantom power for superior sound quality with ultra-low noise, a robust USB Type C connector, and a rich assortment of included software to start producing audio right away. This interface can also be used for mobile production or live streaming using your iPhone or iPad with the included Cubasis LE. Simply put, the US-2x2HR helps you create and distribute great-sounding audio wherever you go.

All US-HR models offer a unique dye-cast aluminum honeycomb structure on the side panels with a slight upward tilt. This design not only results in a sleek, eye-catching design, it also provides just the right amount of weight so the interface won't move when cables are connected or disconnected. Equally important, the upward tilt offers the ergonomic benefit of being angled in such a way as to make the interface easy to work with.

If you're a musician, producer or home-recordist who needs a solid, uncluttered, easy-to-use audio interface with superb sound quality, the Tascam US-2x2HR can be your reliable partner for many years.

The Ultra-HDDA (High-Definition Discrete Architecture) mic preamps used on the US-HR series feature a discrete construction. They have a higher number of components and are far away from mass-produced preamps. Their EIN (equivalent input noise) rating, which measures the absence of noise, is truly low for the US-2x2HR and US-4x4HR. Combined with a newly improved audio circuit and support for sampling rates up to 192 kHz, our in-house developed microphone preamplifier delivers enhanced audio performance with the most transparent and low-noise sound, reflected in a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB.

One issue when recording using a computer is latency, which is when audio signals are delayed through digital circuitry. Another is setting up the driver software that is used when connecting an audio interface to a computer. In order to eliminate these problems, our driver software introduces only very little latency and is easy to install. Furthermore, by making the external structure of these interfaces as simple as possible, the Tascam US-2x2HR and US-4x4HR allow users who are not expert users of audio equipment to operate them without concern.

The Settings Panel, which is installed on your computer, comes with a variety of functions. You can choose whether direct monitoring is done in mono or stereo and adjust the balance between input and computer signals. You can also switch the hardware inputs on and off individually and set the Windows buffer size according to your working environment.

For online broadcasting, Internet communication and other live streaming applications, the US-HR series interfaces offer a Loopback function which can merge input signals 1/2 with signals 1/2 coming from the computer (each can be set to mono or stereo) and send that mix to the broadcasting or other software on the computer. A software slider allows to adjust the final "broadcast" volume independently from the unit's line output level setting.

Instead of a computer, you can also use an iPad or iPhone together with the US-2x2HR/US-4x4HR to make music. Performance has been tested with not only the bundled digital audio workstation (Cubasis LE3), but also with other popular recording software - you can continue to use them even if you change DAW software. Since these units include MIDI inputs and outputs, you can connect MIDI keyboards, drum computers etc. to play sounds on the iPad or computer and thus expand your personal orchestra.

In addition, any of the 28 assignable MIDI buttons, the modulation wheel, keyboard aftertouch, foot switches and of course the big control knob, can be assigned to send out MIDI cc messages. The settings are stored over power cycling.

REPEAT: GET INSPIRED
The Repeat Engine is great for creating inspiring rhythmic elements: Simply press the dedicated Repeat button, play and get inspired.

The RGB buttons now give you direct one-button access to Repeat Rates, Accent, Interval, Swing and routing aftertouch or modulation to velocity. The large Data/Tempo Encoder turns into a dedicated tempo control, unless synchronization is set to external MIDI clock.

The Funk Lite contains the envelope core from Solid Gold's all-encompassing Funkzilla, preserving all the fresh funk and powerful envelope generation you'd come to expect from one of our quackboxes. Unlike many filters that skimp on the features, this has everything you need with a sublime sweep for each knob and some extra bells.

The core of the Funk Lite contains the only three controls that you need: Depth, Freq(uency) and Attack. A toggle switch changes the direction of the sweep, giving you everything from deep dubby sloshes to Zappa filter stabs and everything in between.

Depth adjusts the intensity of the filter sweep, from shallow cuts to deep scallops, while the Freq control adjusts the center frequency of the sweep. The Attack control adjusts two parameters at once- the sensitivity of the filter opening and the decay of the overall tone. As you might expect, these three controls are incredibly interactive, with a multitude of funktions on tap.

The Funk Lite is perfectly voiced to squash any unwanted high peaks or rough envelope artifacts, and is engineered to accept line- or instrument-level signals from guitar and bass to keys and anything else you can think of. Combine all this with an all-analog signal path and true bypass switching, and you have a funk box worth talking about.

KNOBS:

Depth: From light and funky to deep and fun-kay, this knob adjusts the width of the envelope effect.

Freq: This control adjusts the frequency of the filter sweeps. At noon, the control is set neutral. Turn the knob down for lower-frequency dub blasts and turn it up for higher-frequency stabs that really cut.

Attack: This control determines how hard you have to hit the strings to get the filter to "open up." It adjusts two parameters at onceidecay time and the sensitivity. Turning the control up increases sensitivity but decreases the decay time, while turning it down decreases the sensitivity but increases the decay time. Turning this knob to zero slams the envelope shut and you can dial in fixed filter or "cocked wah" tones.

Notes: While the Western world was preoccupied with its Fuzz Faces, Tone Benders and others, the Eastern world was bubbling up with plenty of fuzzes of its own. This very distinct era in fuzz history gave us many treasures that have been crowned fuzz legends - the Univox Super Fuzz, Ibanez Standard Fuzz, Ace Tone Fuzz Master, Shin-Ei Companion and several others.

The 76 offers up a comprehensive guided tour to the best that the Standard Fuzz and its ilk has to offer without any of the drawbacks, such as a quiet signal or fragile wiring. On its face, the 76 gives you a multi-voiced germanium-equipped fuzz unit that gives you hints of octave-up snarl while it ruthlessly pummels your amp with hair and fangs.

Aside from standard volume and fuzz controls, and unlike the original Standard Fuzz, the 76 also gives you a texture control that sweeps the midrange, effectively giving you many flavors of fuzz across several positions. A three-way colour switch offers a little frequency scoop, but the center position is off, for full-frequency fuzz madness.

The internals contain two DIP switches that alter the character of the unit. The first, clip, changes the clipping stack from the stock Standard Fuzz arrangement of two germaniums into a hybrid germanium-silicon arrangement. Engaging this switch opens the sound up, increases crunch and definition for a searing lead tone.

The other switch, Dark, engages a treble cut on the input, which helps to prep the incoming signal for the fuzz onslaught. This switch should be engaged if the 76 follows a bright dirt pedal or a jangly set of pickups.

The new Standard Fuzz is here and is a forced to be reckoned with, leveling audiences with its punishing buzzsaw grind and unbridled harmonics. The 76 is your favourite fuzz nerd's favorite fuzz.

KNOBS:

Fuzz: Turning the Fuzz up ranges from a little crunch to more gain than you could ever want.

Texture: This control adjusts the mid frequency of the 76. Go from a deep scoop to a mid-drenched grind with a simple twist

Level: Adjusts the output volume, with more than enough on tap.

TOGGLE SWITCHES:

Color: Switches between three different frequency ranges, from scooped to full-frequency fuzz tones.

UNDER THE HOOD:

Clip (internal DIP): When on, the 76 employs germanium diodes for a spongier signal and a harder clipping threshold. When off, a silicon-germanium combo is employed, opening the fuzz signal up a little more. The default is on.

Dark (internal DIP): When on, the 76 cuts a good amount of treble from the input signal, useful for single-coils and wicking away treble from anything before it. When off, the treble cut is lifted. The default is off.

Solid Gold's If 6 Was 9 pays tribute to all the players who contributed to the pantheon of rock, with specially selected components to get your mojo working. We put two BC183 devices in each one, which is widely regarded as a happy medium between the potentially mushy compression of germanium and the brash sawmill-like fuzz of silicon. The tone of the If 6 Was 9 is just thatismooth and refined without falling apart on chords, and with loads of sustain on single-note work.

The specially-selected BC183 parts gives you a thick balanced bass response and a tight fuzz tone- just right. The If 6 Was 9 supplies a two-way tone toggle switch that adjusts the fuzz character to match with the rest of your rig.

The Fuzz and Bias controls work in beautiful synchronicity with your guitar's volume control, bringing all kinds of flavors to the table. Clock divider & multiplier module
Notes: The TikTok is a 4HP Clock Divider/Multiplier.
It has Divisions and Multiplications of:

There is a Clk Input and a Reset Input.
Both are buffered with an opamp based comparator circuit.
They are looking for approximately +1.1V on a rising edge.
This means that you are not constrained to gate (pulse) signals to trigger them.

The Reset input resets your divisions clock counter to 1

There is a switch to select Mathematical or Musical divisions.

The Multiplication Outputs 25MS Trigger pulses.
The Division Outputs are on as long as your Clock source.

Basic Usage instructions:

Front:

Voltage Select switches: Independent for each channel. Does NOT affect MIDI/I2C data

Slider LED color: To change the LED color, simply remove the cap and rotate the square LED 180s. Do NOT force the LED back in, it should slide in easily, may require wiggling.

Rear:

Power Header: Standard 10pin power cable, there is NO polarity for this connection. It can be connected either way

MIDI Out Header: This is a 4 pin header but only 3 or 2 connections need to be used. To connect to a DIN cable, either GND, 5 (to pin 5, current sink/aka -), and 4 (to pin 4, current source/aka +) should be used. For internal module to module connections, only pin 4 and 5 should be used. The ground pin is only for the shield in a midi cable, it is never connected on a midi input and isnt necessary for the short module to module lengths

I2C Header: 3 pin header to connect to other I2C devices in your rack, this is an unbuffered connection so cable lengths should be as short as possible (20cm/6" recommended). There are 4.7k pull up resistors on this connection

Module Orientation jumpers: There are 3 of these jumpers which determine how the module operates depending on if the jacks are on top or bottom. They will come installed in the position matching your panel but can be changed should you want to flip it. "INV" is Jacks on Top, the white position is jacks on bottom. Changing these jumpers will change the numbering of the faders from left to right (1->8) in both MIDI and I2C and will invert the voltage response (i.e. 10->0V from top to bottom). The jumper is shown in the "jacks on top" position in the pic below. ALL THREE JUMPERS MUST BE IN THE SAME POSITION for the module to operate correctly.

Module Config DIP switch: This allows you to switch between I2C Follower and I2C Leader modes easily. Simply move the switch to the "lead" position and restart the module (you can press the blue reset button once). The other 3 positions are for future expansion and not currently implemented.

Connector for Expander: This connects the F8R to the I/O expander. The cable is attached to the expander. Note the keyway at the top of the part, the connecter will ONLY connect one way

Syncopated timing disruptor module
Notes: The STD, or Syncopated Timing Disrupter is a dual tap tempo clock with CV control for clock division and multiplication. If one wishes to synchronize the STD with other clocked gear, there is also a Gate input. The CV inputs can shift the clock to being upto 8x faster or /8 to be slower. This function is voltage controllable to turn the STD into a nonstop groove machine. Included in this are three logic functions that output gates depending on how the two channels are interacting. There is OR, ADD, and XOR logic functions.

Prefer to use a Gate? No Prob! Just Patch in to the Gate Input.

Use the Div/Mult/Offset Pot to Multiply or Divide your Clock Time up to *8 - /8

Or patch In to the CV Input to Modulate the Mathematical Madness!
When CV is being input the Div/Mult/Offset Pot behaves as an Offset.

CV Input wants 0V to +5V, but whatever you got, Between the Offset, and the Front Panel CV Attenuators, it's easy to dial in your desired range of "On the Fly" Mathematical Clock Time Modulations.

Want to sync the 2nd channel to the first?
Latch the Ch1 - Ch2 switch and the Output of Channel 1 is normalled to the jack Switch of Channel 2.
You can still control the Multiplications / Divisions of each channel Independently!

If that wasn't enough to get you poppin' penicillin prophylactically there's more!

The bottom row of jacks constantly output OR, AND, and XOR Logic Combinations of the 2 channels combined!

Want to use something funky (like a Sine Wave / Envelope / Random Voltage Generator) to set the rhythm? The Input is a Buffered Comparator set to trigger at any signal above +1.2V

Perfectly happy up in to the Mid- Audio range.

Gate modifier & trigger delay module
Notes: Got a gate that's gonna make you late? Run it through the Gate_Mod! Got a trigger comin' sooner than you figger'd? Run it through the Gate_Mod!!

Let's face it, couldn't we ALL use a little more length?

This Tiny (yet powerful) Module allows you to manipulate your gate length and delay your event triggers with ease and minimal impact on your HP.

Take an incoming Signal above ~1.1V (OpAmp Comparators on the Inputs make very forgiving Clock Inputs) and shrink it down to 5MS or lengthen it up to 5 Seconds.

That Gate will appear at the Gate Out.

When the Gate is Over a 10MS Trigger will turn on at the Delay Out.

Set the length of the Gate with the Time Potentiometer OR with the CV Input.

The switches allow you to choose between Interrupt OR Dividing Behavior (1 for each channel).

If you have Interrupt selected, when Clock In receives a new Clock Pulse the time will reset, essentially lengthening your Gate Out and Delay Out to the Time you have set + the time that has already elapsed.

So Gate will never go Low and Delay will never go High if you have a Time set longer than the interval between Clock Pulses (Useful if you have staggered, irregular or random Clocks).

When Dividing is selected Clock In will Ignore new Clock Pulses until it has finished the current cycle it's running.

The Delay 1 Out is Normalled via the Jack switch of the Clock 2 Input for all kinds of Timing madness!

Multichannel MIDI to CV/Gate conversion

Yarns is a MIDI interface providing up to 4 channels of very accurate CV/Gate conversion, which can be assigned to up to 4 voices.

In single voice mode, note, velocity, modulation and aftertouch (or other CC) CV are produced, along with a gate, a trigger, and a clock/reset output.

In two voices mode, two channels of note, modulation or aftertouch CV are produced, along with two gates, and clock/reset outputs.

Finally, in four voices mode, four pairs of CV/Gate outputs are provided.

Each voice has a built-in digital LFO to interpret modulation wheel messages as a vibrato; can respond to pitch-bend messages; or can be smoothed with a glide/portamento control - no need for a dedicated module and patches to get the right response from a MIDI keyboard!

Monophonic and polyphonic

The 2 and 4-voice modes are available both in a "polyphonic" and "multitimbral" flavour. The former receives chords from one single MIDI channel and dispatches them to the voices; while the later provides independent monophonic parts - which can be addressed to different MIDI channels, keyboard ranges, or even velocity levels.

Various note priority modes (low, high, last) and polyphonic allocation schemes (voice-stealing, random, cyclic) allows you to fine-tune the CV/Gate conversion to your playing style.

With sequencing and note transformation...

Each part can generate sequences either through an arpeggiator/euclidean sequencer combo; or with a SH-101 style sequencer with step-by-step recording, storing up to 64 notes. The module can sync to an external MIDI clock, and generate a clock/reset output at any subdivisions of the MIDI clock.

...and even more advanced features.

Other unique features include support for microtunings (either through standard MIDI messages or from a selection of historical tunings or indian ragas), just intonation, and an audio output mode which can transform one, two, or four of the CV outputs into simple digital oscillators.
