Andronicus - Make You Whole
Breakbeats have been back in fashion for a hot minute now. They are reliable vehicles for many things - all out high energy raving or piano laced uplifting joy. We get a bit of all of that more on this new selection of remixes of Andonicus's 'Make You Whole' tune. Dusky go first with a feel good and euphoric sound that is old school in mood but new school in execution. Coco Bryce then deploys some of his masterful jungle breaks for a high energy trip and after a remaster of the big and bouncy original version comes a Smokin Jo dub that is pure fire.

Lama - Love On The Rocks (remastered)
Here comes the Best train with a payload of disco delights from the depths of time, and this is one trip you don't want to miss. "Il Veliero" is a club classic immortalized in so many great versions, from Lucio Battisti's original version to the epic cover by The Chaplin Band, but here's LAMA's English language version "Love On The Rocks" from 1983, which gives the infectious melancholy an electro injection. On the flip things take a more ominous turn with the gothic Italo tint of "Nineteen Ninety Three" - camp and dark hearted in equal measure, and utterly magnificent.

Reclaim Your City is back with a hefty 14th serving, this time with some searing techno minimalism from Paris via Vienna with complimentary pair Eric Fetcher and Arthur Robert at the controls. Their sound is hugely hypnotic from the off, with Fetcher going first with 'Arrival,' a Mills-style deep space melodies and silky, rubbery drums racing ahead to an unknown future. Robert then offers the crunchy percussion and sonar pulses of 'Petrichor' and he then kicks off the b-side with a similarly textured and straight ahead roller, 'Centipede.' Fetcher's 'Balter' then close son a more Serengetis and smooth techno tip.

Roger Sanchez has had many supersized hits in his long and accomplished career. 'Another Chance' is one of the biggest and harks back to the years when he was as well known for his tightly trimmed facial hair and Kangol hat as anything else. It is now 20 years old and so gets an anniversary release on a special limited edition 7" picture disc. The track is a fulsome house affair with big drums and that catchy vocal hook and is sure to still unite plenty of floors all over the world all these years later.
Steffi / Virginia - Yours
Second time around for Steffi's first collaboration with life partner Virginia, killer 2010 single 'Yours'. Now fully remastered, this much-needed reissue boasts the three most essential versions of the track, which was subsequently featured on her Ostgut Ton released LP Yours & Mine. In its original form, 'Yours' is an unashamed throwback to the halcyon days of house and techno at the turn of the '90s, with sweet and memorable lead vocals from Virginia rising above a crunchy drum machine rhythm, rising synth stabs, warehouse-ready motifs and a simple but effective bassline. Arguably even better is the ultra-hypnotic, locked-in dub, where echoing synth sounds, percussion hits and keyboard stabs combine brilliantly with Steffi's groove to create something akin to a Berlin take on a mid-90s Inner City B-side dub.

Jimi Tenor - Multiversum
Hamburg-based label Bureau B welcome back Jimi Tenor for what is his third full length with them. The Finnish artist has played all over the world playing minimalist soundscapes while mostly releasing jazz and Afrobeat records over the past two decades. All of this new one was recorded in his Helsinki home studio with a real DIY spirit and a synthesizer, flute and saxophone. The simple set up has led to astoundingly good results with versatile grooves and plenty of good ties.
