Whether you know them as DJ decks, media players or the generic term CDJs, digital DJ players are a mainstay of the DJ booth. Usually playing back a range of audio files from USB sticks or SD cards, CDJs and similar players are essentially a modern, digital take on the classic DJ turntable.
Many DJ decks are designed in similar ways to DJ controllers, meaning that if you’ve learned to mix with a controller you’ll easily be able to adapt to decks. This is particularly true for Pioneer, whose CDJs and XDJs feature similar controls and features as their DDJ controllers. The brand’s flagship CDJ-3000s are an industry standard, offering an incredible range of features and great build quality.
