This mighty stereo oscillator impressed the audience with its wide range of possible timbres. The idea of sculpting a shape on the screen of the module that then translates into sound works really well and invites the user to interact with the module.

Notes: This is an envelope follower based on a classic module from the seventies but with some improvements to suit modern needs.

The IN signal is bifurcated to the envelope follower circuit and also to a THRU output, so the original signal is also available for external processing.

The envelope follower has three controls, a switch to select response time (fast, medium, slow), a pot to adjust GATE threshold and a pot to adjust the envelope CV level.

This little module will help you shape the timbre and/or the level envelopes of your sounds. From dynamic envelope filtering to compressor like side chaining there are lots of possibilities to mangle your audio.

Notes: As the name suggests this module can produce sub frequencies of -1 and -2 octaves relative to the square wave signal provided at the input jack.

But this is not just a simple SUB generator. It also has a little mixer that will let you add different levels of -1 and -2 octave signals to the original square wave. You can select the -2 octave signal to be a square wave or a pulse wave.

The module has individual outputs for the mixed signal, the -1 octave and the -2 octave.

This little modules can produce enough timbral variation to make you bass sound exciting.

Notes: The Airlectron Sensor Recorder module is equipped with a sunlight independent distance sensor to generate CV output voltages.

A distance sensor reacts to hand movements and varies the CV output voltages (bipolar/max +/- 5 V, unipolar/max 0-+10 V). The range control adjusts the detection distance (2-50 cm). The freeze function keeps the voltage when there is no continuous movement.

The recorder/looper can be used to record motion sequences for up to two minutes. This recorded data can be played back in a loop or once and restarted at the START/RESET input. LEDs indicate the status of the gate inputs and outputs.

Notes: The C-1U module is a one-channel module for recording and playing back movements of controller. Those can be recorded with channel's knob. The movements will be output as control voltage. The record time amounts to one minute maximal.

The track can be played once only (one shot) or in loop. The speed of the play back or the output offset is controllable with the pot. There are an additional CV input for CV recordings and a reset input.

The track data remains permanently stored when a 3V battery is used to buffer the RAM. When the module is switched on, the recorded data is available again. The module can be operated unipolar or bipolar (set by jumper on the back).

Note: The C-1U KnobRekorder uses a standard 3v lithium backup battery , type CR2032. The battery is needed to keep recordings and settings stored when the Eurorack case is turned off.

The module is a full 8-way polyphonic drum and percussion synthesizer. It offers different digital synthesis algorithms, which can be distributed over 8 channels. The sound engine delivers virtual analog sounds as well as different digital percussion sounds, which are generated with FM, wavetable or virtual analog synthesis. It is also possible to create sim- ple monophonic bass or synthesizer voices.

During development, particular attention was paid to direct and simple usability with regard to live operation. The hardware essentially consists of two parts (which are deli- vered together). On the one hand there is the basic module with all controls, the display, connections for MIDI, 2x CV inputs and 5 audio outputs.

There is also a separate XFIRE I/O extension with sockets for the 16 analog trigger/gate/CV inputs and 3 additional audio outputs. Both modules are connected via a 60cm long ribbon cable. In this way, the XFIRE module can be installed anywhere else in the rack. The base module is therefore only 22TE wide and can also work alone without the extension as a MIDI expander.

A maximum of 8 audio outputs are available. A stereo pair (outputs 7+8), plus 6 additio- nal individual direct outputs. All outputs are freely configurable. Two pages with settings for panorama and volume are available for the stereo main out.

Notes: The module can record the joystick movement up to a length of over a minute. The sequence remains stored in the battery-backed RAM after switching off. When playing the sequence, it can be manipulated in speed and playback direction.

There is a FREEZE function to hold the current joystick position plus an external reset input. In addition, a GATE is set during movement and a CV voltage is output as a function of the joystick movement. The ranges of the X / Y output voltages are bipolar +/- 5v or unipolar from 0 to + 10v. Both channels X and Y have a passive attenuator potentiometer, so that the voltage range can also be set lower.

Notes: The "uMCLK Divider" module can either work as a MIDI clock divider or as an analog clock divider. The divider outputs are assigned differently in both operating modes.

After receiving a MIDI start command, the module works as a MIDI clock divider. There are fixed dividers on 11 outputs. Via the divider output KEYS, triggers can be triggered and mixed via MIDI notes. The keyboard zone extends over three octaves. With the help of the LEARN key, the receive MIDI channel and the lowest note of this 3-octave range can be defined.

When stopped (i.e. after receiving a MIDI stop command or after switching on), the module works as an analog clock divider and divides the analog clock present at the CLOCK input. The 12 analog divider outputs can be reprogrammed via SYSEX. Ready-made SYSEX files are already available (e.g. for even / odd dividers, Fibonacci series, offbeats, etc.). The RESET input resets the analog counters or serves to deactivate the analog divider.

Notes: The "uMM" combines a MIDI merger and two independent THRU distributors in a module that is only 4 HP wide. All sockets on the module are in MIDI TRS-B format.

At the heart of the two-input MIDI merger is a small, powerful ARM processor with plenty of buffer memory. Two MIDI streams are mixed to one output and can also be tapped via an additional second output. Two LEDs signal the operation of the merger: one LED indicates MIDI activity at the inputs, and a second LED warns of too much data at the inputs.

The second group of functions consists of two independent, separate MIDI THRU distributors. The MIDI data at the respective MIDI input can be picked up and distributed at the three THRU outputs. If required, a 1-to-5 distributor can be created from the two units by connecting an output of the left group to the input of the right group.

Notes: The 333 is a summing and distribution module for Eurorack modular systems.

It is composed of three identical sections, the red, yellow and green, each of those featuring three inputs summing amplifier with three independently buffered outputs.

Derived directly from the CGM creative mixer series, the sum section is DC coupled, allowing the sum of control voltages as well as audio signals.

With an extremely low tolerance in both sum and output sections, it is suitable also for summing quantized voltages like the ones coming out from the quantized outputs of the SAPEL.

In case CVs or audio signals are particularly hot, the 6dB attenuator might be helpful to reduce exactly by 50% the incoming signals.

Red and yellow output are also normalled to the 1st jack socket of the yellow and green input: in this way this module can also work as a 1 to 9 buffered multiple.

Notes: Oof. Frap casually serve up one of the best filters we've seen in a long time. Quad multimode circuits with saturation and feedback give you extensive routing options. Delicious.

Four Analogue Resonant Multimode Filters

CUNSA features four state-variable filters that can be used independently or linked and mixed. Each filter provides three behaviors simultaneously: lowpass, bandpass, and highpass. Each behavior has a 12 dB/oct slope, except for the lowpass, which can be either 12 or 24 dB/oct.

It is thus possible to move the cutoff frequency along with the main melody or make CUNSA resonate with no input and transform it into a multiple oscillator. The V/oct inputs are seminormalled so you can control more filters with the same CV. Easy chords stabs!

Ping and Ring

CUNSA is ideal for percussive and organic tones. The Ping circuit offers a behavior similar to the BRENSO but AC-coupled. Instead of shooting the frequency to the moon with any trig, CUNSA gently responds to different incoming gates with a selectable decay curve. The Ping circuit can thus create natural decay sounds when fed with trigs or smoother envelopes with any other voltage, like a linear integrator with a custom decay.

Besides this, you can also feed the filter's audio input with trigs and make it ring at high Q settings.

Linked or Individual Filtering

The four filters can work independently or arranged in groups through seminormalled inputs and sum outputs. CUNSA can thus be a 4×1, 2×2, or a massive 1×4 filter. Even odd configurations are possible, like 1+2+1 or 3+1. Mono, stereo, or quadraphonic audio is at your fingertips.

Filter and Combo Behaviour

When the filter behavior is set to COMBINED, every control of the cutoff frequency also affects the input VCA, reducing the signal amplitude and saturation as it approaches the lowest range. It can make organic decays with the ping circuit or tame the low range at high Q and Character settings.

Four Seminormalizations for Group Use

Four inputs have a cascaded seminormalization: audio inputs, VCA CV, V/oct, and Ping. Every signal patched to a filter will thus feed also those at its right, making simultaneous use even simpler. To remove a seminormalization, simply patch a dummy cable to the corresponding input.

Analog Mixing Stage and Group Outputs

Every filter output can be routed to an analogue mix bus that sums the four filters and outputs them in three combinations: all, 1+2, and 3+4. These outputs allow for versatile audio processing. Just like we did with FUMANA, we added a gentle shelving EQ for the higher frequencies of the All output to provide additional timbral variety.

CV Inputs with Attenuators

Besides the seminormalled inputs, every filter features additional CV inputs for cutoff frequency, Q, and Character, each with a dedicated attenuverter.

Notes: The FUMANA is an all analog dual filter bank with various control to access dynamically these bands. Each filter bank is composed of an array of 16 independent 48dB/oct bandpass filters. Having two identical filter arrays, allows you to use one of those for spectral analysis (of a modulator signal) and the other for spectral re-synthesis (of the main signal). Each array is sub-grouped in odd and even bands (numbering these increasingly from 1 to 16 from left to right). It is possible to apply different signal to odd and even bands, both for main and/or modulator arrays. This, together with the 16 envelope followers connected to each band of the modulator filterbank, and the 16 VCA connected to each band of the main filterbank, allows the FUMANA to perform a single 16 bands or a dual 8 bands analog spectral transfer.

While the upper section provide access to each main filter's direct output, the lower section has 4 voltage controllable parameters to manage two independent functions for further spectral editing: tilt and parametric scan.

The tilt, as the name suggest, tilts the spectrum, adding and subtracting amplitude to the 16 bands, emphasizing lower or high bands, and attenuating high or lower bands: this is managed only with the green potentiometer.

The parametric scan, instead, works with three parameters: peak/notch, band selector and width. Like in a parametric equalizer, where is possible to set peak/notch gain, frequency and slope, the FUMANA uses three parameters to set which is the centre band to perform this manipulation, then if that band should be emphasized or attenuated, and how this action is extended to nearby bands.

In addition to the 16 bandpass outputs, there are other 4 outputs provided: the all bands output, the all envelope followers output, the odd bands and the even bands output. These two have the options to be inverted in phase with two switches, in order to obtain even more combination when summed together, maybe/also with the "all bands output", using, for example the 333 module.

Since a spectral transfer tool may be used as a "vocoder-like-effect", the FUMANA provides an input for an external noise which may be used for unvoiced (fricative/sibilants) sounds as words containing or starting with s, f, z, ch and other fricative sounds.

Notes: Designed for Frap's CGM Creative Mixer modules, the Masterone takes an input via IDC socket rather than standard Eurorack connections, then feeds out to headphone outs, balanced stereo XLR, TRS and mono.

Supplier's Notes:
The Masterone is the first Frap Tools module designed to be connected exclusively with non-Eurorack equipment.

It features four separate output sections with different Neutrik connectors and adjustable gain levels to suit the most common live and studio situations (and even some uncommon ones).

With no inputs and just large-format outputs, it pushes even further the concept behind the M module: being a Eurorack system's gateway to the outside world.

XLR Balanced Stereo Outputs

Two XLR connectors (left and right) provide a balanced output with the expected 6 dB extra gain. In many cases, they can allow bypassing a DI box.

TRS Pseudo-Balanced Stereo Outputs

These outputs are very similar in concepts to the ones on the M module, but with large 1/4" jack connectors. It is possible to patch standard TS cables and use them as unbalanced outputs, or use TRS cables to interface them with balanced equipment (the ground is routed to both the ring and the sleeve, for a better performance than regular unbalanced outputs).

Attenuation Switches for Flexible Connectivity

If the two stereo outputs are too hot, a set of switches can attenuate them. The Line/Mic switch on the XLR outputs attenuates them by ~30 dB, while the Line/Inst switch on the TRS outputs attenuates them by ~15 dB.

Stereo Headphones Output with Pre-Fader Listening

The Headphones section allows you to monitor the Master output with an independent volume knob and, at the same time, take advantage of the PFL function on the Channels and the Groups. Rotate the PFL crossfader towards the blue section to blend the PFL modules with the Master sum and check if everything is okay before launching the next scene.

Mono Output with Dedicated Fader

Should you need an extra monitor on stage, or run the whole system through a vintage amp in the studio for parallel processing, the auxiliary monophonic outputs is the answer. It provides the sum of both channels in a handy, pseudo-balanced output with a dedicated fader: attenuate the line level by 15 dB, or amplify it by 6 dB.

Notes: The SAPEL is a random control voltages source for Eurorack modular systems. It is composed of two main sections, one that generates audio noises, in 4 different versions, and another which includes two specular random clock, random voltages and clock sources.

Noise outputs are colour coded, based on the noise colours, and include:

- Blue (+3dB/oct spectrum)
- White noise (0dB/oct spectrum)
- Pink noise (-3dB/oct spectrum)
- Red noise, a.k.a. Brown or Brownian (-6dB/oct spectrum).

The random voltage and clock section features four uncorrelated random CV generation paths, divided in;

- Fluctuating random voltage;
- Quantized random voltage with 2n stages tuned in semitones referred to 1V/oct scale;
- Quantized random voltage with n+1 stages tuned in octaves referred to 1V/oct scale;
- Non quantized sample & hold.

It is also possible to set a probability distribution with a potentiometer, and apply (or do not apply) the chosen distribution setting to each of the four paths independently.

Furthermore, each of the two random sources section features an independent built-in clock generator, with clock output and random clock output, which can be used in "more than" or "less than" mode. It is possible to use an external clock signal as a clock source, bypassing the built-in one. In addition to that, it is also possible to hand trigger the clock via a manual sample & hold button, which can be also modulated by gate signals.

Notes: The SC (Stereo Channel) is a single-channel stereo module for the CGM Eurorack mixer, fully compatible with every other product of this family.

It features a mono/stereo local output which makes it ideal for multitrack recording and advanced parallel processing.

Thanks to its advanced I/O configuration, it can work as stereo-to-stereo, mono-to-mono, mono-to-stereo, and stereo-to-mono.

The gain control and the two mono FX sends can work in pre or post-fader mode, and the pan pot can also work as a dual mono crossfader, making it suitable for blending two mono sources into a single mono sum.

Notes: USTA is a 4×4 tracks sequencer for voltages and gates with variable stage duration, designed to quickly see and edit multiple voltage relationships in real time.

Variable stage duration means that every single stage duration can be individually set in relation to the clock, instead of being constrained to a one-to-one ratio (i.e. one stage per every clock impulse).

4×4 tracks means that every stage can store and generate up to four separate voltages (two CVs and two gates), and that up to four independent stage sequences can be arranged into as many different tracks.

Its architecture is based on an array of 16 'Stages' which form a 'Pattern'; 16 patterns form a 'Track', and four tracks form a 'Project'. Within each track, each stage can provide two gates and two CVs, and a wide set of options is available to define and modify the value of each output ('Layers') and the way it is played ('Colours').

Every Stage is related to a dedicated stepped encoder for quick and intuitive editing, and all the 16 encoders are arranged in an oval layout with a circular playhead. Every encoder is surrounded by a ring of 16 LEDs and a RGB led, to provide a visual feedback of the current setting of that step basing on the layer you are working on (like raw CV, quantized CV, length, gate...) and the way it should play depending on the RGB colour.

Notes: Advanced generative sequencer featuring mutes per channel and transposition facilities.

Akropoli is an extension and enhancement of our successful Little Melody and High Towers modules, offering the features of both of these modules as well as some of it's own unique features such as mute buttons per channel, manual transpose knob and 1V/oct transpose CV input. Akropoli operates using Frequency Central's proprietary TOOL V2 code, and can count in integers as well as multiples for even more subtle and evolving variations.

Akropoli is a generative sequencer based around clock divisions and a chromatic quantiser, used to create in-the-moment licks and riffs. It is more that the sum of it's parts.

Akropoli's internal operations can be considered as 4 clock dividers patched into a CV mixer via attenuators. The attenuators select notes over a 5 octave range, the clock dividers determine how often those notes are added to the mix. The final output of Akropoli is quantized chromatically for fast set up and continuously pleasing results. Akropoli has an onboard transposition knob, as well as a 1V/oct transposition CV input.

The 4 clock dividers are labelled A, B, C, and D. They all receive clocks from the same source, the divisions may be selected using the presets and the individual division selectors. The clock dividers can be set to count up, down, or to one of a variety of modes that move between counting up and down. For further information on Presets and Modes see the Little Melody User Guide.

Additionally, each clock divider has it's own binary output (either high or low), these 4 outputs can be used to clock/gate/trigger other stuff on other modules to great effect.

Notes: A couple of years back, Frequency Central developed Cosmic Background as a standalone percussion voice. The concept was to bundle all required sub-modules behind one panel, pre-patched, yet also fully modular, with each sub-module having its own inputs and outputs. This proved to be a very popular product, but Frequency Central decided to replace Cosmic Background's noise generator with a VCO (and do a few other tweaks), creating a cute little fully modular synth voice ripe for sequencing - and that's how Dark Star was born!

Dark Star consists of 4 sections:

Notes: Looking Glass is an 5 x 5 active patchbay/matrix mixer/switcher for both audio and control voltages. It features:

5 inputs (1 through to 5), each with attenuators
5 inverted outputs (A through to E) which are 180o out of phase with the inputs

A switch matrix of 25 push on/push off switches and LED status indicators
Any of the 5 inputs can be patched to any of the 5 outputs simply by pressing the corresponding switches. A patched signal will appear at both normal and inverted outputs simultaneously.

A single input can be patched to a single output. A single input can be patched to multiple outputs. Multiple inputs can be patched to a single output. Multiple inputs can be patched to multiple outputs.

The attenuators allow you to reduce the volume of an incoming signal. If you add many inputs to one output you will of course cause clipping (which may or may not be desirable!), the attenuators are your on-board way around this.

Notes: Shapes is a wide ranging and fully analogue oscillator which can perform duties as both auxilliary VCO* as well as VC-LFO. Shapes can be configured to cycle continuously, or to provide one-shot shaped outputs. When set to one-shot mode, Shapes may be used as an ersatz envelope generator.

Using the Time knob, Shapes can cycle from as low as 8 seconds (whale song) to as high as 19500Hz (bat beeps).

Shapes has 3 simultaneous outputs:

sawtooth (+/-5V, 10Vpp)
ramp (+/-5V, 10Vpp)
triangle (+/-5V, 10Vpp)
Additional waveforms may be derived courtesy of the Shape knob. Anticlockwise from 0 achieves progressively logarithmic sawtooths and ramps, whereas clockwise from 0 achieves progressively exponential sawtooths and ramps. The effect of the Shape knob on the triangle waveform is asymmetric, anticlockwise from 0 achieves progressively logarithmic leading edge, whereas clockwise from 0 achieves progressively exponential falling edge. Progressively exponential triangle waveforms can be achieved using the Time CV knob (set Shape knob to 0) providing there is no jack in the Time CV input socket

Time CV input provides wide ranging control of time. It is possible to dial in something approaching 1V/oct over a limited range, although Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking VCO. In the audio range, Shapes comes into its own when used as a 'daughter' VCO to an external 'mother' VCO by patching the 'mother' VCO into Shapes' Gate In input socket - some impressive oscillator sync style effects can be achieved.

Gate In can also be used to initiate waveforms in one-shot mode, where a pulse of any length will cause Shapes to complete one cycle.

*Shapes has not been designed to perform as an accurately tracking audio VCO.

A single input can be patched to a single output. A single input can be patched to multiple outputs. Multiple inputs can be patched to a single output. Multiple inputs can be patched to multiple outputs.

Each input features a micro-attenuator which can be set with a small screwdriver. This space saving feature allows you to reduce the volume of an incoming signal without having to resort to external attenuators. If you add many inputs to one output you will of course cause clipping (which may or may not be desirable!), the micro-attenuators are your on-board way around this. I find it useful to leave the micro-attenuators set to 50% (which is how they come pre-set at delivery). Of course, their size is a little bit of a compromise, but they are a useful feature nonetheless. Wonderland’s sister module Looking Glass includes full size input attenuators as well as LED status indicators.

Notes: Clouds, the granular synthesis module from Mutable Instruments, was discontinued in 2017. Supercell brings back Clouds in a more accessible 34 hp form factor, offering an improved user interface and several additional features:

- Each of the Blend parameters (Feedback, Panning, Mix, and Space) have dedicated knobs with their own CV inputs and inverting attenuators (attenuverters).

- The inputs and outputs now have mute switches, stereo VCAs, and separate VU meters. The knobs act as offset controls when their respective VCA inputs are patched.

- A stereo output gain control has been added, providing an additional +6 dB of gain to compensate for low output levels when using certain parameter combinations.

- The complex process of changing the sampling time and managing presets has been simplified with dedicated switches and status LEDs.

- Extensive modulation options for all parameters including direct patching of external CV, distribution of one CV to all parameters via the AUX input, or an internal smooth random CV that is normalized to any unpatched inputs when AUX is also unpatched. The attenuverters control the modulation depth in all three cases. As of firmware v1.01 the internal modulation rate can be adjusted within a range of 1 to 100 Hz.

- The inputs and outputs now include stereo VCAs and separate VU meters. The knobs act as offset controls when their respective VCA inputs are patched.

- Pitch is now controlled by two separate inputs: the V/Oct input is exponential and the Pitch input is linear. When both inputs are used, their voltages are summed.

- A manual Trig switch (for capturing individual grains) has been added, in addition to the Trig input that was present on Clouds.

All other features of the original Clouds remain intact, including access to the alternate modes. Thanks to Olivier Gillet for making the original Clouds hardware and firmware available under open-source licenses. Third-party firmware such as Parasites (by Matthias Puech) and Beat Repeat (by Julius Kammerl) will be supported in future firmware updates after the initial release of the module.

The EaganMatrix Module is a full-featured EaganMatrix Sound Engine for Eurorack, and can be controlled by control voltages and/or Midi. This versatile module can act as a sound source, a sound processor, a CV source (via connection to an external Control Voltage Converter), a Midi source, or a customizable combination of all these capabilities.

The EaganMatrix Module provides a truly versatile framework for both studio and live performance. Flexibility is key, due to its audio inputs and outputs, integrated CV inputs, external CV outputs (via Control Voltage Converter), and robust implementation of MPE and MPE+ Midi.

A single EaganMatrix Preset can give completely different sonic results, depending on how it is patched into a particular Eurorack ecosystem. Hundreds of System Presets are included with the EaganMatrix Module. In addition, an external cross-platform (Mac and PC) Haken Editor may be connected to modify and customize the supplied EaganMatrix System Presets, or create completely new presets from scratch.

Direct CV note control is limited to 1 voice at a time, but higher polyphony avoids voice stealing when EaganMatrix presets have long decays, and higher polyphony is often useful for Midi input.

The EaganMatrix is a modular digital synthesizer invented by Edmund Eagan, utilizing a DSP engine designed by Lippold Haken. This is the same EaganMatrix Sound Technology internal to the Continuum Fingerboard, the ContinuuMini, and Expressive E's Osmose keyboard. The EaganMatrix allows the user to finely craft their musical sound by digitally connecting audio and control modules via a patching matrix. The EaganMatrix Module contains a sophisticated digital modular patching world of its own, ready to interact with your other Eurorack modules to make musical results never before possible.

Power and size

The EaganMatrix Module requires +12V, +5V, ground, and -12V from your Eurorack enclosure.

A 16-pin standard Eurorack power cable is included with purchase.

Current requirements: 25mA at +12V and -12V. 300 mA max (190 mA avg) at +5V.

The processing power of the EaganMatrix Module is 2x, same as the ContinuuMini.

The EaganMatrix Module dimensions are 22 HP and 3cm depth.

Several 2xSAMs can be chained together or with other HN stereo modules via sockets on the back side.

2xSAM's total mix stereo output can be internally sent to the Isolator, PanMix Jr, 3xStereo Mixer, or can be received from OUT, PanMix, PanMix Jr, 3xStereo Mixer, or another 2xSAM.

If jumpers are not installed (placed on one pin only by default) the max gain is 1x. When the jumper is properly placed on both pins - the gain is 5x. There are four inputs thus four jumpers. Each jumper is relevant to its channel.
