Synthesisers

Synthesisers – or synths – are the fundamental building blocks of most electronic music. Whether analogue or digital, a hardware synth is any instrument which generates sound using electronic circuits. Most of the great synths are keyboards, but there are a lot more choices, including desktop modules and modular systems. Our range includes old-school analogue synthesisers and reissues of vintage classics, plus the latest digital workstations, patchable semi-modular instruments and portable models suitable for live performance or making music on the go. With such a wide variety of synths on offer, there’s something to suit everyone, from budget options for beginners through to premium models for pro studios. Brands like Arturia, Korg and Roland offer excellent value for money, while the likes of Moog and Waldorf offer some of the best high-end options for those who want something a little more advanced.

Supplier's Notes:
Introducing the Akai Professional MPC Key 37; a standalone keyboard workstation that has everything you need to produce music out of the box. The iconic MPC range has been the centrepiece of beatmakers' and producers' studios for over three decades, evolving into a production platform that combines sampling, sequencing and synthesis into a lightning-fast workflow that keeps you focused on your music. MPC Key 37 brings together the familiar 16 pad grid together with a synth-styled 37 note keybed; along with legendary MPC sounds and instruments, and all the connectivity you need to integrate with your outboard gear and computer - in a compact footprint.

Sound

MPC Key 37 ships with a core collection of sounds and samples from Akai MPC's industry standard plug-ins.

There are 8 plug-in instruments out of the box: including Hype, Odyssey, Mellotron and more; and over 10GB of production ready samples and drum kits. Together these offer over 1000 production-ready presets and if you want to dive deeper each plug-in instrument features advanced synthesis, deep parameter editing, and effects for programming in the exact sound you need. With 32GB of internal storage (plus removable media via SD Card and USB) there is enough space to expand your sample and instrument library in whatever direction you need to take it.

Insert lush Reverb & Delay effects into your tracks, add bounce and punch to your drums and mix using modern or vintage style compressors and limiters. MPC Key 37 also ships with cutting edge vocal FX plugins which can also be used for straight vocals or creative sound design.

Control surface

The MPC Key 37 features a synth action key-bed with aftertouch, alongside separate pitch and modulation wheels. The synth-style keyboard action has been designed with players and producers in mind; whether tracking basslines into your productions or jamming out synth leads on stage. The 16-velocity sensitive RGB pads are the same award-winning pads as the MPC One+, along with the renowned Time Correct, Swing, and Quantize features of MPC that continue to inspire producers at the top of the industry. Tweaking and editing take place on the 7' multi-touch display and 5 Q-link rotary encoders, giving you fine control as well as quick access to the parameters you need at your fingertips.

Connectivity

MPC Key 37 can also act as a hub for your outboard gear: Connect MIDI devices via USB or using the MIDI DIN In/Out ports; and integrate with modular rigs with the 8 CV/Gate outs. Onboard WiFi/Bluetooth allows for wireless synchronization with Ableton Link and MPC OS Updates, and the SD Card Reader allows for volumes of expandable sounds and tracks.

DAW Integration

MPC Key 37 features a built in 2-in 2-out USB audio/MIDI interface, so you can record audio and MIDI directly in and out of your computer. The included MPC software is a standalone DAW on your Mac or PC, so you get all the tactility and control of the hardware, but with as many tracks as your computer can handle. MPC software also comes as a VST/AU plug-in so you can open it in major DAWs such as FL Studio, Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, Studio One and more, and combine your favourite workflows.

Analogue Solutions Ample Analogue Patch Pin Matrix Synthesiser (B-STOCK)
Cat: 1013875 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Dent on the side, product in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Dent on the side, product in perfect working order***

Like a greatest hits of recent Analogue Solutions synths, the Ample combines sound elements from the Fusebox with jack patch points, a patch pin matrix, plus sequencer and CV touch pads from the Generator, creating something new and unique.

Supplier's Notes:
Ample combines the best elements of several of Analogue Solutions' recent products.

The sound elements of Fusebox
Jack patch points of Concussor Eurorack
Patch pin matrix of Vostok
Echo from Dr Strangelove
Sequencer and CV touch pads of Generator

It shares all this yet still has its own sound!

Ample can be as complex or as simple as you want it to be

This synth has been given a large and diverse number of controls, that along side the patch sockets, will give even the best and experienced synthesist endless possibilities.

This synth presents the controls in a user friendly and familiar synth layout that, together with this manual and other resources, enable even the new guy to get great sounds.

Synth - Percussion - Audio Processor

Ample is a compact analogue synthesizer. Analogue - as in really analogue. Aside from the MIDI chip (which has to be digital), everything else is totally analogue using real transistors and op-amps. There are no CPU stabilised and quantised circuits, no DCOs, no digital LFOs and no digital EGs, as found on other so called analogue synths. The circuitry is based on designs dating back to the mid-1970s. So Ample has a genuine old sound.

Circuits included

3x Analogue Oscillators

There are three analogue VCOs - each providing a wealth of features and modulation choices. VCO3 can easily be utilised as a LFO.

2x Analogue Low Frequency Oscillator

LFO2(/Sync) has a triangle wave output. VCO3 can be used as an LFO and has Saw, Triangle and Square wave modulation signals.

Analogue Filter

Ample uses a four pole 24bB per octave low pass filter.

Analogue Amplifier

The VCA can be set to THRU so it is always 'open'. This allows Ample to be used as an effects processor.

2x Analogue Envelopes

There are two EGs - each having full control over ATTACK, DECAY, SUSTAIN, and RELEASE.

Modulation

Great thought has been placed into modulation route choices, allowing a wide range of sounds to be produced, including percussion and 'modular' sounds further extended by patching with the jack sockets and pin matrix.

MIDI

MIDI is intentionally kept simple - so you can concentrate on making new sounds and making music - not getting tied up with SYSEX programming.

You get the all important control over filter cut-off using MIDI Velocity.

Patchable External CV Control Sockets

Ample has many input and output audio and CV sockets - to allow the synth to be effectively re-wired to make new sounds.

The sockets also enable it to be easily used with Eurorack and other modular systems. They can be patched together.

Sequencer

Ample has a vintage style 16 step sequencer.

Touch Keys

There are 6 touch keys that each output a set voltage. Use this to play the pitch or as modulation signals. A great tool for inspiration!

Pin Matrix

A neat way to patch the synth.

Echo

Nice lo-fi echo / delay.

Arturia MicroBrute Semi Modular Analogue Synthesiser (Creation special edition version) (B-STOCK)
Cat: 987027 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Item refurbished, repaired and in perfect working order.
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Item refurbished, repaired and in perfect working order.***

Arturia's best-selling small-format analogue monosynth has been re-designed with a new black and metallic colour scheme.

The striking stylized snippet of "The Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo, one of humanity's finest works of art, is emblazoned across the front panel, and the whole instrument has been decked out with metallic trim.

MicroBrute is pure analogue sonic powerhouse of a synth. Small in size but loaded with features, it follows in the footsteps laid by its big brother the MiniBrute.

Packed with mixable waveforms, a new sub oscillator design, the famous Steiner-Parker multimode filter, super-fast envelope, syncable LFO and the new step sequencer, not to mention the patchable mod matrix the MicroBrute is a landmark new synth at an incredible price.

The MicroBrute is new but carries the award-winning heritage of its big brother, the MiniBrute.

The MicroBrute was designed to be small but still retain an amazing sound quality. With a 100% pure analogue voice path and advanced interconnectivity via MIDI, USB, CV/GATE, this machine is a true powerhouse synthesiser that takes your sound to a new level.

A synthesiser is a musical instrument that is meant to be played. However, playing a synthesiser is more than just playing some notes on a keyboard and recalling someone else's presets. If that was the goal you could be looking at accordions or going to a department store to buy your keyboard (along with socks, milk and toilet paper) - but you aren't because you are more creative than that.

No presets, no menus, nothing to get between you and the ability to sculpt your sound live. Not only does MicroBrute give you the means to create, perform and be completely original every time you power up, it does so with astounding sound quality.

Buchla Easel Command Desktop Modular Analogue Synthesiser (B-STOCK)
Cat: 981983 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Item refurbished, repaired and in perfect working order.
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Item refurbished, repaired and in perfect working order.***

Latest incarnation of Buchla's legendary modular synth. Massively creative with incredible sound and history stretching all the way back to the 1960s.

Supplier notes:
The evolution of the legendary modular analog synthesizer by Don Buchla. The Buchla Easel Command is the newly updated 208C in a standalone desktop form with MIDI and CV control.

Buchla's own Joel Davel led the charge to create a new version of the legendary Music Easel instrument with more modular flexibility and independence, while also providing the means to easily interface with more devices, such as the various DAWs like Ableton and MIDI controllers, including the very expressive Sensel Morph. It's still fully analog in its default configuration and provides the unique and exquisite Buchla experience with greater functionality at a lower cost.

Buchla Music Easel (Modern) Modular Analogue Synthesiser
Cat: 956175 Rel: 06 Feb 24

The development of Don Buchla's legendary modular analogue synthesiser.
Notes: Celebrating the 50th anniversary of this truly iconic synth, the 'modern' take on the classic Buchla Music Easel doesn't mess with a winning formula, paring the 208C sound source with 218e touch-sensitive keyboard.

Supplier's Notes:
The Buchla Music Easel was one of the first truly portable electronic music instruments. Fifty years ago, in 1973, only a few dozen were made. Unlike many iconic technologies, the influence was not grown through force of scale, but rather the force of the ideas. The Music Easel made available virtually every musical dimension: timbre, melody, rhythm, and time; how these dimensions intersected was no longer the court of acoustics and material, but signals and voltage. The 208 Stored Program Sound Source engendered "a new functional organization [with a] particularly rapid system of patching and program storage via plug-in cards."

Taking cues from the then-recent discipline of cybernetics, the 218 touch plate was for "real-time communication" to help realize the "potential vocabulary" of the Easel, rather than exploiting existing modes of musical virtuosity. The Stored Program Cards ensured rapid repeatability and repertoire on its own terms. The battery terminals made sure the music was as portable as any acoustic instrument. And the name let you know it was designed for art rather than science.

Buchla is ecstatic to revive the Music Easel for its third run in 50 years. Buchla first released the updated 208 Stored Program Sound Source, dubbed the Easel Command, with expanded MIDI and USB capability. Next came the update of the Easel Program Manager - a complete kit for storing and recalling sounds sources, even more rapidly than imagined in 1973. The new 218 Touch Activated Voltage Source provides the optimal input facility, as originally envisioned. It is now all together in a rugged case and the advanced EMBIO module that unifies all the audio and control inputs and outputs for integration with the rest of your musical world.

More than a retro novelty, the Music Easel still speaks to a future we strive for. A technology that invites conversation, not chats, and controls that engage expression, not work. There are many new worlds to explore in this instrument created at the crossroads of the jazz and computer ages. Designed as "an integrated assemblage of functions", rather than a collection of modules, the Music Easel's colour coding, comfortable access to controls, and solid patch connections allow for satisfying sessions of sonic discovery.

The Music Easel is available for pre-order starting June 16 at Buchla.com and your favourite Buchla Dealer. Delivery of the Music Easel (modern) is expected fall 2023.

Stored Program Sound Source Model 208C

The sound source of the Music Easel is the 208C, which includes a complex oscillator and a modulation oscillator (which can also serve as another voice), each with independent switchable waveforms, as well as a noise generator, allowing for rich and intricate sound design. The 208C also features a five-stage sequencer, envelope generator, pulser and modulation source - with switchable triggers - allowing for complex patterns and evolving textures. The dual low pass gate provides dynamic control over the tone and amplitude of the sound, as well as natural-sounding decay and sustain. The 208C has a number of modulation sources, including a random voltage generator, the envelope generator, modulation oscillator, and an envelope detector. These sources can be used to modulate various parameters via the extensive patchfield - creating movement, texture, and complexity. The 208C also includes a mixer section with spring reverb.

Touch Activated Voltage Source Model 218e (v3)

The first design appeared in the 1973 release of the Buchla Music Easel and named for the spacecraft that delivered astronauts to the moon. Providing the familiar piano key layout for this early mobile music machine, the additional controls and capabilities were an interface for exploring uncharted musical territory. With the new version 3, it's been elevated with a new foundation of stable, modern electronics with incredible sensitivity and accuracy - the lightest touch will produce triggers and control voltages. The adjustable sensor has the dynamic range and durability to handle your playing. The new texture not only improves the sensing, but provides a satisfying tactile experience. As always, pressure is an expressive output, adding an extra dimension to the control. MIDI outputs velocity and polyphony, as well as channel pressure, making the 218e a uniquely expressive controller. The 218e includes portamento and an arpeggiator, which can be driven by external inputs and are allowed to interact with the automated notes to make patterns more complex. Additional controls allow you to blend different patterns and randomness to easily change from the expected to the surprising. The classic preset voltage knobs offer several possible ways to shift your sounds into new territory. Not only can the knobs be used for quick access to voltages for your patch, they can control arpeggiation modes and octave shifting. Pads output pulses for additional control. The 218e also gives you a unique interface to playing your existing MIDI gear and soft synths. Each touch outputs note name, channel pressure, and velocity for every note, along with sustain controls from a pedal. Polyphonic MIDI mode lets you play chords. The touchstrip can act as a pitch bend control, or as a mod wheel for additional expressive control. Easily configured using the front panel controls, you can send notes and controls on any MIDI channel.

Electric Music Box Input/Output (EMBIO)

Maintaining the spirit, sound, and process from the original, the new Music Easel adds a variety of new features. Buchla's latest renditions of the Stored Program Sound Source and Touch Activated Voltage Source are tied together with the Electric Music Box Input/Output (EMBIO) module. This of course provides MIDI out (mini jack and USB) and CV out from the 218, MIDI in to the 208, and the audio out from the 208C. Additional creative control comes from the Audio Mixer, for integration with other Buchla modules and systems, and the CV conditioners and controls. The slew control can turn your sequencer into a wavy modulator, or soften up a square LFO. The attenuator and crossfader gives you the opportunity to find new levels and combinations of voltages from existing ones. The pulse converter offers new rhythms to trigger. And a simple LFO provides another valuable modulator when you just can't quite let yourself flip that Mod Osc switch from "high" to "low."

Notes: The updated Pocket Piano builds on the original, featuring six sound engines, built-in sequencer, arpeggiator and note pattern options, plus a fully customisable open-source software environment.

Supplier's Notes:
The Pocket Piano returns and is better than ever! Like its predecessor, the 201 Pocket Piano is fun, portable, and packed with a medley of musical magic!

The 201 is nearly pocket size, but don't let its small size fool you! Under the hood is some powerful circuitry that will allow you to explore your musical ideas quickly and easily.

Description

Sounds

At the heart of the 201 are six sound engines providing a wide range of sonic texture. Use the shift key to select an engine. There is a little bit of everything: chiptune style waveforms, analogue style filters, drum samples, realistic physical instrument models, and even a human vocal synthesizer. Use the three centre control knobs to further explore the sounds. Dial in the right amount of sustain, or adjust the tone. Or turn the 'surprise' knob if you are brave!

Patterns

Play directly on the keyboard or turn on one of the pattern generators. From simple octave arpeggiation to randomizing polyphonic patterns you will be inspired by the notes coming out of the 201! Use the first control knob to set the pattern's tempo.

The pattern generators also work great for creating drum beats using the drum samples!

Sequencer

If you like the way something sounds, recording it is just a button press away! There is a handy metronome that you can play/record along with. When the sequence is playing back you can endlessly change the pattern and synth engine. When you get it just right, hit the save button. You can save 'unlimited' sequences (well... not really unlimited, but many thousands). Then recall saved sequences easily using the navigation buttons.

Connectable

The 201 wants to be friends with all your other gear! It works great with guitar effects pedals and amps. With MIDI in and out you can control other synthesizers with the 201, or the other way around. A USB-C connector lets you easily move files on and off the instrument.

Critter & Guitari 201 Pocket Piano 6-Operator FM Synthesiser & Sequencer (yellow)
Cat: 972515 Rel: 30 Oct 23

6-operator FM synthesiser and sequencer with built-in speaker and battery power.
Notes: The Pocket Piano returns and is better than ever!

Open source

Critter & Guitari is committed to making musical electronics that are open platforms. Like the Organelle and EYESY instruments, the 201 is built entirely with Open Source software.

Inside, the 201 uses a combination of Pure Data and Faust musical programming environments. Users are invited to modify or create new sound engines!

Quality materials

The 201 is built to last. It features an anodized aluminium enclosure and maple buttons for a nice, tactile feel. It's assembled and tested by hand at Critter & Guitari's shop in Brooklyn, NY.

TOUCH SENSITIVE CONTROLLER settings

Behaviour:
- single: 12 key mode
- twin*: 2x6 key mode, the parameters are the same for both sides
- split*: 2x6 key mode, but with separate parameters for both sides (e. g.: you can have an arpeggiator on one side, but a basic keyboard controller on the other side)
* in twin and split modes the pressure output acts as the note CV output, therefore pressure parameters (output, rise and fall) have no effect

Arpeggiator state:
- off: the module acts as a keyboard controller
- on: enables arpeggiator

Arpeggiator hold:
- off: the arpeggiator will play only while the keys are held
- on: the arpeggiator will continue to play the last progression after the keys are released

Arpeggiator clock:
- sets the clock multiplication/division ratio for the arpeggiator

Arpeggiator direction:
- forward
- backward
- ping-pong
- random

Arpeggiator variation: when enabled the arpeggiated progression will be played again transposed by the selected interval.
- OFF
- x1
- x2
- x3
Arpeggiator variation interval: 1 - 12 semitones

Arpeggiator rhythm: an eight step trigger sequencer placed between the arpeggiators virtual clock input and clock source, applies a rhythmic pattern to the arpeggio. - turn steps on/off

Arpeggiator rhythm length: sets the length of the rhythm sequencer. 1 - 8 steps

Portamento: creates slew limiting effect on the CV output, sets the speed of gliding (ie: how much time it takes to transition from one pitch to the next). 0 - 255

Legato:
- off: portamento is always on
- on: gliding happens only when two or more note plates are touched simultaneously (this parameter has no effect when arpeggiator is enabled)

Vibrato speed: sets the speed of the LFO that's modulating the note CV output. 0 - 127

Vibrato depth: sets the modulation amount. 0 - 127

Vibrato delay: specifies a time delay before vibrato begins to apply until it reaches the full strength specified by the depth parameter. 0 - 127

Vibrato pressure control: when enabled, the modulation amount is altered by the pressure applied to keys.
- off
- on

Pressure output:
- pressure: voltage on the pressure output will continuously follow the pressure applied to key plates
- ASR: attack/sustain/release envelope generator
- AD: attack/decay envelope generator
- LOOP: looped AD envelope generator
- random: outputs a random voltage

Rise: creates slew limiting effect on rising edge in pressure and random modes, sets attack time in envelope modes. 0 - 255

Fall: creates slew limiting effect on falling edge in pressure and random modes, sets decay/release time in envelope modes. 0 - 255

Scale editor: turn notes on/off of the scale applied by the note quantiser, when all notes are disabled the module works as a microtonal keyboard.

Load scale: select and load a preset scale/mode.

Erica Synths & Richie Hawtin Bullfrog Semi-Modular Analogue Desktop Synthesiser
Cat: 963370 Rel: 08 Nov 23

Semi-modular analogue desktop synthesiser
Notes: A collaborative effort between the techno icon and one of the best synth brands around, the Bullfrog is designed to encourage newcomers to analogue synths while secretly packing killer sound and some innovative features.

Supplier's Notes:
Introducing Erica Synths X Richie Hawtin Bullfrog

Learn. Produce. Perform

Created by Erica Synths & Richie Hawtin, Bullfrog is an educational electronic music instrument designed to captivate and inspire both youth and professionals alike. Bullfrog invites you to unlock musicality while combining the thrill of electronic music production with a comprehensive learning experience.
Bullfrog is a classical subtractive synthesiser - it consists of several "modules" for sound generation - VCO, NOISE GENERATOR - and treatment - VCF, VCA/DELAY, as well as "modules" that generate control and modulation signals to control them - ENVELOPE GENERATORS and SAMPLE & HOLD. The Bullfrog will not make the sound on its own unless it is patched - using eurorack patch cables to interconnect the "modules" or by inserting voice cards that create internal connections between the "modules" in a specific way and add extra functionality, like sampler/looper, sequencer, groovebox, etc. This approach better helps to understand functionality of a subtractive synthesizer and the principles of sound design with instruments like these.

In order to provide a well rounded understanding of the functionality of this synthesizer and sound synthesis in general, a comprehensive user manual is created to accompany the learning process.

Electronic music with its rich traditions and innate sense of exploration at core is ever popular, with artists and fans stretching around the globe. For me, one of the most exciting parts of creating electronic music is the playful exploration that leads one deep into their own imagination. Whether the intention to create completely imagined or real-life inspired sounds, the route one takes to create is always personal and often surprising. It is within these experiments where the beauty of synthesis really comes alive and which often unlocks a new sense of creativity and purpose.

Whether someone's experience with Bullfrog points them down a career in electronic music or not, the goal is to both nurture the love for electronically produced sounds and promote the accessibility of learning and understanding the basics of sound synthesis.

Erica Synths believe that the hands-on approach and problem solving that is innate to synthesis on a semi-modular synth like the Bullfrog, contains life lessons that go beyond what we can hear.

Bullfrog encapsulates the foundations of synthesis and is built with an immediate, intuitive design and a unique expandable architecture that grows and expands together with the user's imagination. This instrument feels at home anywhere - as an educational tool in music and physics classes, as an addition to your basement studio or even as a tool for performance on a stage.

Future Retro Vectra 29-Keys Hybrid Synthesiser
Cat: 854774 Rel: 12 Mar 24

29-keys hybrid keyboard synthesiser
Notes: Future Retro's unique modern take on vector synthesis takes full advantage of an impressive hybrid synth engine. Digital oscillators, ring modulation and complex envelopes meet a multi-mode analogue filter with paraphonic capabilities. Quirky and flexible.

Supplier's Notes:
The Vectra is a unique hybrid synthesizer with a flexible architecture that allows many different forms of synthesis to be realized. It's the best of both worlds... The Vectra utilizes digital oscillators, ring modulators, noise sources, vector mixer, LFO's, complex envelopes, and modulation routings providing many capabilities that would be very difficult to produce with analogue circuitry alone. This allows for accurate tuning, repeatability of complex patches, and patch storage. The Vectra also provides a multi-mode analogue filter, VCA, and final output, as these provide the best sonic qualities.

The Vectra includes a powerful and fun sequencer and arpeggiator, with many new capabilities. Although the Vectra is a self contained instrument, MIDI can be used to interface with other devices.

The Vectra provides four oscillators, white and pink noise sources, four ring modulators, a four-channel mixer, five LFO's, six morphing envelopes, six primary multimode analogue filter types, a main analogue VCA, and numerous internal modulation routings and VCA's controlling modulation amounts.

It really is like having a powerful self-contained semi-modular synthesizer with approximately 500 internal signal routings, and around 256 storable sound parameters.

The synthesizer architecture is designed to allow the greatest flexibility in recreating multiple synthesis techniques of the past while introducing several new innovations. The sound section has been inspired by features of the greatest synthesizers ever made, while not focusing specifically on recreating any instrument in particular. The Vectra is in fact it's own unique self-contained instrument.

The oscillators are digital as this provides the highest degree of tuning stability, while allowing both virtual analogue and digital waveform generations. With features like oscillator Sync, PWM, the new waveform Phase Slice, and Fade features, independent glide times per oscillator, constant beat detuning, and paraphonic voice modes, not to mention FM, AM, ring-modulation, and dedicated LFO's, envelopes, and VCA's per oscillator really make these oscillators a power house.
The four-channel mixer is unique in that it provides an even balance when mixing multiple sources, either manually with the joystick, or applying automated vector mixing, or mixer modulation.

The five LFO's provide 500+ waveforms to choose from, with their frequency spanning from sub-audio into the audio range. Their frequency can be stationary or track keyboard notes with glide. Waveforms can sync to any waveform phase at a note-on, and they can be frequency modulated as well. In short they can be used as LFO's, complex envelopes, or audio rate oscillators.

OSCILLATORS (1-4)
Frequency Range: <0.01 Hz to 20.00 kHz

Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave 24-Voice Polyphony & 4-Part Multi-Timbral Wavetable Desktop Synthesiser
Cat: 973094 Rel: 17 Nov 23

A wavetable desktop synthesiser with 24-voice polyphony and 4-part multi-timbral capacity.
Notes: Serious synth options here, with a 24-voice polyphonic, four-part multi-timbral design based on the iconic PPG wavetable approach, updated and blended with analogue filters. An absolute powerhouse of an instrument.

Supplier's Notes:
The 3rd Wave desktop module a powerhouse wavetable synth with 24-voice polyphony and 4-part multi-timbral capability that's like having four independent synthesizers at your fingerprints.

It has all of the power, all of the polyphony, all of the multipart capability, all of the I/O, and all of the awesome sound quality of the full keyboard version.

Each of its 3 oscillators per voice can be any of these 3 choices:
A classic PPG 8-bit wavetable with all the original processing
A high-resolution anti-aliased 96KHz wavetable
Analogue modelled waveforms with spline interpolation

Create up to 64 custom wavetables of your own using the built-in Wavemaker. With the sample-to-wavetable capability, you can connect an audio source to the audio input and generate a wavetable at the touch of a button.

Classic legacy, modern sound

While the 3rd Wave has roots in the classic digital wavetable synths of the past, it takes that concept into the 21st century with a lush, expansive sound that's a product of its expanded wavetables and warm, organic-sounding analogue filters, 4 independent parts, and 24 voices.

It boasts not only a punchy, Dave Rossum-designed 2140 analogue low-pass filter with variable saturation, but a second, SEM-style state-variable filter (low-pass, high-pass, notch, and band-pass) for additional tone-sculpting. Run both filters in series for harmonically complex textures.

4-part multi-timbral

With 24-voices, the 3rd Wave has enough power for the most note-intensive performances.

And that polyphony really comes into play with its ability to layer up to 4 independent parts or split zones -- each with a completely different sound, sequence, and dual effects.

Each part has independent panning, volume, and a dedicated stereo physical output. Use the multiple outputs and part placement to create spatial audio mixes.

Modulation matrix

The secret weapon of any synth is its mod matrix, and the 3rd Wave doesn't disappoint.

With 16 assignable slots, 12 additional fixed-source slots, 27 sources, and 114 destinations, it has the flexibility of a modular.

And all of this power is per multipart. That means up to 4 independent layers of sound, each with its own mod matrix.

Sequence notes, songs and parameters

The 3rd Wave's sequencer is an inspiring tool for both composers and sound designers because it is pattern-based and can sequence notes, songs, and parameter changes.

For composing and performing, enter notes and chords in real time with or without quantization for maximum groove and arrange up to 24 patterns of up to 32 measures in length into songs just as easily.

UNO Synth Pro gives you the power to create nearly any analog synth sound you can imagine. With its unique dual-filter, 3-oscillator paraphonic design, 256 presets, 64-step sequencer, studio-grade effects, expanded connections and much more, UNO Synth Pro breaks new ground for music makers.

Available in two form factors to suit all players' needs- stage-ready with metal housing and premium keybed; or ultra-portable, USB-powered with capacitive keyboard- UNO Synth Pro offers everyone the next generation of analog sound design in a smart format that fits any space or budget.

3 analog oscillators offer continuously variable waveshape, including pulse-width modulation. Oscillators can be hard-synced for more harmonically-complex tones, and oscillator FM (frequency modulation) lets you shape everything from bell-like sounds to screaming industrial tones. UNO Synth Pro even includes ring modulation for wobbly, sci-fi sound, and a white noise generator for a wide range of percussive sounds and epic rises.

Recreate famous synth sound sources or forge entirely new ones - UNO Synth Pro has the tools you need.

In addition to the original UNO Synth's 2-pole OTA multimode filter, UNO Synth Pro adds a new 2/4-pole SSI LP filter with self-oscillation. The dual filters can be used in series or parallel, with invertible phase, for a total of 24 possible filter combinations.

In short, the UNO Synth Pro can recreate the filter sound of the most famous classic synths as well as deliver fresh new options to the limits of your imagination.

UNO Synth Pro offers 2 full ADSR envelopes, one dedicated to the filter and the other to amplitude, with both available as sources to modulate everything from oscillator pitch and waveshape to LFO speed or even other envelope stages.

2 LFOs (low-frequency oscillators) can create classic synth vibrato, wah and tremolo as well as do more complex modulations including audio range FM.

And a 16-slot modulation matrix makes routing all these a breeze. You can quickly and easily design even the most sophisticated modulation scheme, with both internal and external sources, including MIDI controllers.

IK's experience in modeling analog studio effects is decades long. For UNO Synth Pro, you'll find a super warm and organic true-analog overdrive, plus 12 studio-quality effects in three simultaneous slots: modulation, delay and reverb. External signals can also be routed through these effects, with pre-effects filtering for maximum flexibility.

UNO Synth Pro provides an enhanced version of the original's long-lasting capacitance-sensing keys along with pitch and mod strips for enhanced expression. And it adds firm-touch rubber pads for the control sections, plus LED-backlit indicators and an LED display for key information, making it easier than ever to use UNO Synth Pro live on stage or in deep programming sessions in the studio.

UNO Synth Pro offers 256 user-editable presets, each capturing the full state of the sound engine from oscillators to effects.

An onboard 64-step sequencer offers both step and real-time recording, with automation for up to 40 parameters, letting you create incredibly intricate and evolving soundscapes. You can even write CV and gate automation.

And a 10-mode arpeggiator makes it easy to create intricate patterns and runs plus a new "chord mode" that takes advantage of UNO Synth Pro's paraphonic design.

UNO Synth Pro offers two noiseless, balanced stereo outputs as well as headphone out, for superior audio quality in any situation.

USB and 5-pin DIN MIDI In and Out make it easy to integrate with other synths, Mac/PC and mobile devices, and its assignable CV/Gate connections lets UNO Synth Pro interact effortlessly with your Eurorack or other modular system.

And now, audio input allows access to the filter and FX section for external signals, in addition to the original thru-put for daisy-chaining multiple units together without using a mixer.

Kodamo EssenceFM MKII Tabletop/Rackmount FM Synthesiser (B-STOCK)
Cat: 1001248 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

A unique approach to FM synthesis in this updated version of Kodamo's ludicrously powerful EssenceFM. Up to 300 voice polyphony, hugely powerful touchscreen editing and stereo effects.

Supplier notes:
The EssenceFM is a powerful and easy to use FM synthesiser, allowing you to explore the endless soundscapes offered by FM synthesis. With a super-responsive touchscreen, assignable knobs and workflow optimized for sound design, creating rich and unique sounds is easier than on any other FM synthesiser.

The EssenceFM engine allows to create ridiculously powerful sounds made of more than 6 operators. That's why it's been given 300 voices of polyphony, you get the easy-to-program 6 op FM synthesis and the ability to layer many voices to create huge, rich-souding instruments.

There are 1800 operators and 4200 envelopes running at the same time, more than you will ever need.

This synth is the result of Kodamo's efforts to create the best user interface to interact with FM synthesis. No endless menus, no weird key combinations, no complex structure to remember. Everything is displayed on screen, every element is editable by pressing on it.It requires some trial and error to find the perfect sound, and that exploration process is fun only when the interface doesn't work against you. The EssenceFM is full of small details that makes workflow better: 1024 undo/redo steps while editing, copy/paste on every element, clear navigation using 4 modes and a breadcrumb, real-time envelope level display on the operators and much more. All that makes for a powerful and enjoyable synthesiser.

What you can do with it:
Create your own FM algorithms by drag and dropping operators on the touch screen. An almost infinite number of configurations is possible
Layer up to 128 voices per patch, each consisting of 6 operators, for incredibly rich sounds
Draw your custom waveforms on the touch screen to use them as oscillators or LFOs
Thicken the sound with the built-in effects
Take advantage of its 16 part/300 voice multi-timbrality to create full songs with it
Use it to make analog-like sounds with the built-in resonant filter
Connect it to your audio recording gear and effect modules in many different ways with the four balanced stereo outputs
Explore FM synthesis in the most convenient way possible with the Undo-Redo buttons, allowing for any action to be undone
Try microtunings, layer splits, round robin, MPE, and many other advanced features.

Korg KingKORG NEO 24-Voice Virtual Analogue Synthesiser
Cat: 994413 Rel: 05 Feb 24

37-key 24-voice virtual analogue keyboard synthesiser
Notes: Combining analogue-style sound with digital convenience, the KingKorg Neo is a proper all-rounder for both recording and live performance. Features modelled emulations of classic Korg synth features.

Supplier's Notes:
The KingKORG NEO: a virtual analogue synthesiser that stands out with its analogue-like layout and intuitive, flexible editing. This compact powerhouse features 37 full-size keys and a versatile vocoder, making it perfect for both studio and stage. With our cutting-edge XMT sound engine, it delivers a wide range of classic and futuristic sounds. Designed for the contemporary musician, the KingKORG NEO is the ultimate tool for exploring new soundscapes and pushing musical expression.

KingKORG NEO features our XMT virtual analogue sound engine. XMT stands for eXpanded Modelling Technology and was created to offer an expansive array of sounds while ensuring simplicity in operation.

Gone are the days of laborious oscillator adjustments for sound crafting. The KingKORG NEO streamlines this process with pre-set algorithms. These carefully designed combinations of different oscillator types and quantities empower you to quickly shape rich, stage-ready tones with ease.

Embracing the demand for diverse tonal capabilities, the KingKORG NEO comes loaded with a wide range of oscillator algorithms. From the classic sawtooth and square waves to the more intricate noise patterns typical of analogue synthesizers, and extending to PCM/DWGS, this synthesiser is equipped to cater to an extensive variety of musical needs and preferences.

Crafting character with iconic modelled filters

In the heart of the KingKORG NEO lies its meticulously designed filter section, a cornerstone in defining the synthesiser's unique sonic character. Korg have infused KingKORG NEO with a diverse range of filters, each adding a distinct flavour to your sound creations, an aspect where analogue modelling truly shines.

The KingKORG NEO's filter collection is a treasure trove for sound designers. It encompasses a wide array of essential analogue modelling filter types, enabling you to sculpt sounds with precision and ease. But there's more. Korg have painstakingly modelled filters that echo the iconic analogue monophonic synths of the '70s - the go-to for punchy leads and deep basses. Korg have also captured the essence of polyphonic synths from the vibrant new wave era of the '80s, and the legendary filters from Korg's own MS-20 analogue synth.

One of the most captivating features of these filters is their ability to self-oscillate when you dial up the resonance - a hallmark of classic analogue synthesis. This capability opens up a world of sonic possibilities, from creating ethereal textures to crafting powerful, resonant tones.

Vocoder wizardry

KingKORG NEO synth comes equipped with a balanced XLR input on its front panel, and includes a rugged, high-quality microphone. This setup invites you to dive into the world of vocoding instantly.

At the core of the KingKORG NEO's vocoder is a sophisticated 16-band filter, rivalling dedicated vocoder machines. This powerful feature allows you to craft classic vocoder tones, but that's just the beginning. By shifting the filter frequency with the formant shift function and finely adjusting the level and pan of each band, you open the doors to an array of unique and original sounds. Whether you're aiming for vintage charm or contemporary edge, this vocoder adapts effortlessly to any genre or style.

But there's more - the KingKORG NEO redefines flexibility. Timbre B can ingeniously be used as a modulator, providing an alternative to the traditional microphone input. This allows the vocoder effect to be seamlessly blended with the synth sound, paving the way for limitless sonic exploration.

Moreover, each of the three oscillators, A and B timbres, can be individually selected as a source for the microphone input. This unique feature enables you to synthesize a rich mix of voice and instrument, creating a fusion of timbres that's both innovative and captivating.

Masterful effects

The KingKORG NEO elevates your sound with three master effect slots, each offering six distinct effect types.

The PRE FX slot brings the grit and edge of effects like distortion and amp simulator. MOD FX infuses your tracks with the classic charm of phaser, chorus, and tremolo. For creating expansive atmospheres, the REV/DELAY slot offers ambient effects including hall reverb and modulation delay. Adjusting and selecting these effects is straightforward, thanks to dedicated dials on the front panel for each slot, complemented by FX control knobs for detailed fine-tuning.

Virtual patching

Embrace the spirit of classic synthesisers like the MS-20 with the KingKORG NEO's innovative Virtual Patch system. This intuitive feature brings the flexibility of physically patching synthesizers into the digital age. With six Virtual Patch assignments available for each timbre, you can virtually connect control signals like EG, LFO, or joystick movements to key sound parameters, including pitch and cutoff. This seamless integration allows for intricate modulation and a deeper exploration into sound-shaping, giving your music a new dimension of sonic creativity.

A universe of inspiration

KingKORG NEO's extensive library of 200 stage-ready preset programs is created for the modern music maker. These presets span across eight categories like SYNTH, LEAD, and BASS and offer an intuitive gateway to finding the perfect sound for any scenario.

Step up with arpeggiation

The KingKORG NEO comes equipped with a versatile step arpeggiator, a tool that breathes life into your performances by automatically generating arpeggio phrases based on the chords you play. Tailor your sound even further by selecting from six different arpeggio types. You can specify the duration, interval, and on/off status of each step, opening up a vast array of rhythmic possibilities.

Korg microKORG Crystal 37-Key Analogue Synthesiser & Vocoder
Cat: 944880 Rel: 20 Dec 23

The special edition microKORG Crystal offers a unique and stunningly stylish take on this beloved synth - now a classic in its own right.
Notes: Two decades in the game and the mighty MicroKorg remains a classic. Crystal version celebrates the anniversary with a fresh new look and the same punchy sound.

Supplier's Notes:
A shining homage to two decades of microKORG legacy

The microKORG was originally released in 2002 and has remained strong for two decades. Countless tracks and artists have made use of the amazing possibilities it offers and it continues to be one of the most popular choices for musicians on stage and in the studio.

The instruments that musicians recognise as "classics" are those that are loved and always in use, regardless of times and trends. The word "classic" symbolises musical instruments that are revolutionary in their field. There may be imitations of a classic, but the distinct character of the original shines more brilliantly and is only enhanced by time.

Two decades ago, the portable, battery powered microKORG was born with a radical new micro-keybed, a powerful Vocoder and ready-to-use sounds ideal for contemporary genres delivering countless hit performances, and instantly revolutionising the way musicians played. This compact sound monster introduced synthesis to a vast number of non-keyboard playing musicians and created a way of making music we now take for granted: a small keyboard resting unassumingly atop a larger one onstage, made for use by hobbyists and pros alike and finding itself front and centre of studios worldwide from the smallest bedroom to the largest pro recording facility.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release, the special edition microKORG Crystal offers a unique and stunningly stylish take on this beloved synth - now a classic in its own right.

As a commemorative model, the microKORG Crystal is great fun to look at from any angle, and as its name suggests, it "crystalizes" the energy and feelings of the KORG team behind its birth.

A panel with a beautiful sheen

The microKORG Crystal features a stainless mirror-finish front panel that blends perfectly with the semi-translucent knobs and dials, blurring the limits between you and your instrument and providing a cosmetic impact never seen in any other musical instrument.

Aluminium side panels for a sturdy feel

The original microKORG featured wooden side panels that suggested a retro feel, serving as an elegant accent to the analogue modelled synth engine. This new special microKORG features sleek aluminium side panels for a clean and depurated look.

Korg Modwave MK2 60-Voice Polyphonic Wavetable Synthesiser
Cat: 978249 Rel: 20 Dec 23

60-voice polyphonic 37-key wavetable keybaord synthesiser
Notes: Second-generation version of Korg's superb ModWave synth, building on the legacy of the iconic Wavestation with 60-voice polyphony, Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0.

Supplier's Notes:
Modwave is a synthesis powerhouse with distinctive wavetable timbres, Kaoss Physics, and Motion Sequencing 2.0. The new Modwave mkII provides an astonishing 60 voices of polyphony almost double that of the original Modwave. All LFOs have been updated with options for free running, delayed start, and retriggering, and a pre/post switch for reverb sends has been added, alongside new modulation sources, and more.

Modern monster synth

In 1985, Korg introduced the DW-8000 - a synth which combined digital wavetables with rich analogue filters to give users sounds which were impossible to create with analogue oscillators.

Modwave builds on the DW legacy, transforming it into a modern monster synth, featuring incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, gorgeous filters, wildly flexible modulation, unmatched polyphony, comprehensive pattern sequencing, and immediately satisfying hands-on control to deliver unique, powerful, and easily customizable sounds and phrases.

Over 200 factory wavetables each contain up to 64 waveforms. 30+ Modifiers can be used to change their basic character, and 13 Morph Types to process them in real-time. Using the unique, realtime A/B Blend, it's possible to create new hybrids from any two wavetables.

Expanded possibilities

Modwave can be expanded by importing new wavetables using the free Editor/Librarian software. There are many free and commercial wavetable libraries in the standard Serum format, or you can create your own using the free, cross-platform WaveEdit software (available in a custom version for the Modwave). Wavetables can be layered with samples from the built-in, multi-gigabyte PCM library, or import your own 4 GB of samples using the Sample Builder software.

Each Program has two full-featured wavetable oscillators, plus a sub oscillator/noise generator and any of a dozen stereo filter types, including the aggressive MS-20, sweet Polysix, and the newly enhanced Multi Filter. Animate almost any parameter using the massively flexible modulation system, with four triggerable envelopes, five LFOs, dual mod processors and two key-track generators-plus multi-lane Motion Sequencing and Kaoss Physics.

Even with all that synthesis power, playing up to four simultaneous wavetables per voice in a single Program, the Modwave mkII achieves 60-voice polyphony, incredible for a wavetable synth. Layer two Programs together for double the possibilities.

KAOSS in motion

Modwave introduced two unique new tools for creating dynamic motion: Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0. KaossPhysics combines an x/y Kaoss pad with modulatable game physics to create a responsive, interactive controller that is extraordinarily powerful.

Motion Sequencing 2.0 brings the organic, continuously evolving patterns of the Wavestate Wave Sequencing 2.0 into the world of motion sequencing, including multiple lanes and real-time recording to help you create complex and evolving phrases that other step sequencers cannot.

Modwave's evolved wavetable synthesis delivers its own brand of completely unique sounds and a knob-per-function layout that makes customizing those sounds fast and easy. There are hundreds of preset sounds empowered by this new architecture, organised by front-panel category buttons, and all instantly customizable via the four Mod Knobs. Modwave'sdistinctive wavetable timbres start with aggressive basses & leads, and lush ambient pads which will add a new dimension to your tracks. But that is just the beginning.

Those who want to dig deeper will find an endless source of discovery; with the Modwave's unique synth architecture, you'll be finding new things for a long, long time. Save as many of your sounds as you like; there's room for thousands more. You can also load your own samples, import wavetables in standard formats, and create your own wavetables using the free WaveEditsoftware.

KAOSS Physics

Kaoss Physics models a ball rolling on a surface and bouncing off walls. The surface can tilt in any direction, and a bump with variable height/depth and location attracts or repels the ball. Adjustable friction slows the ball's travel, and adjustable time controls the speed of the entire model. All of these characteristics are modulatable, so you can change them in real-time!

Start the ball by flicking a finger on the x/y pad, or launch the ball automatically using another modulation source. You can even directly control the ball by holding your finger on the pad. The position of the ball produces eight modulation signals, which can be used to control any modulation destination: the X and Y locations, the distance from the centre, the angle relative to the X axis, and separate signals for +/- X and +/- Y.

Walls can slow down the ball, as if they were padded, or accelerate the ball, like bumpers in a pinball machine. The walls can also be removed entirely, so that the surface wraps around to the opposite edges like a vintage arcade game.
The modelled environment can create specific modulation effects. For instance, use a centered bump with negative height so that the modulation values always eventually return to 0. Or, position a bump with positive height on a side or a corner, to push modulation values away from that zone.

The result is an interactive controller that amplifies your physical gestures, transforming them into complex musical results.

Motion Sequencing 2.0

Motion Sequencing 2.0 is evolved from the Wavestate's Wave Sequencing 2.0. Timing, Pitch, Shape, and four sets of Step Sequence values are separated into "Lanes," each with their own loop start and loop end, adding a deeper, more customizable level of phrase and modulation recording.

Every time the sequence moves forward, the individual Lanes are combined to create the output. For instance, a step sequence value may be matched with a different duration, pitch, and shape every time that it plays. You can modulate each Lane's loop points separately for every note, using velocity, LFOs, envelopes, Mod Knobs, or other controllers. Each note in a chord can be playing something different!

Lanes can also randomize the step order every time they play. Finally, individual steps can be randomly skipped, with a modulatable probability from 0 to 100%. The result is organic, ever-changing sounds that respond to your control. The dual onboard arpeggiators can interact with Motion Sequences for even more possibilities.

Wavetables

Wavetables are sets of single-cycle digital waveforms, arranged in a specific order. The wavetable's "position" determines which waveform is played. Moving the position with an envelope, LFO, or other modulation source creates subtle or dramatic changes in timbre. Some wavetable systems switch abruptly from one waveform to another; others crossfade smoothly between them. Modwave can do either one.

Modifers

Use over 30 Modifiers to alter the character of any wavetable at load time. For instance, isolate the odd or even harmonics, add weight through anti-aliased quantization or saturation, or revisit the gritty character of old-school wavetable synths with the Vintage 8 & 12 options.

Morph

The 13 Morph Types let you stretch, squeeze, reflect, and otherwise alter the wavetables in real-time, changing their timbre andiwhen modulatedicreating additional motion in the sound. Sync creates classic swept-sync timbres, using only a single oscillator. Three special Morph TypesiFM, AM, and Ring Modimodulate Osc 2 with Osc 1, and the last two even apply to samples.

A/B Blend

Using the unique A/B mode, oscillators can blend any two wavetables with phase-synchronous precisionidifferent from simply layering voicesiopening up a dimension of intermediate waveforms. Add body to otherwise "thin" waveforms, for instance, or a touch of sizzle to a mellow timbre. Even fade between two different "modifier" versions of the same wavetable. A/B Blend can be modulated in real-time, of course.

Or, step outside the box with Korg's unique Multi Filter, which creates modulatable blends of multiple modes simultaneously - now with presets on a front panel knob, for easier exploration of its many possibilities.

An arsenal of effects

Modwave's superb effects deliver production-ready sounds. Each Layer has three dedicated effects, plus a send to the Performance's master reverb, followed by a master parametric EQ. Along with standards such as compressors, EQs, choruses, flangers, phasers, and stereo delays, you'll find distinctive processors such as the Wave Shaper, Talking Modulator, Reverse Delay, Multiband Mod Delay, and Overb (from the OASYS and Kronos), plus modeled effects including VOX guitar amps, VOX wah, multi-head tape echo, and a collection of classic guitar pedals.

Korg Opsix MK2 64-Voice Polyphonic Altered FM Synthesiser
Cat: 995087 Rel: 04 Apr 24

64-voice 37-key polyphonic altered FM keyboard synthesiser
Notes: Second-gen version of the excellent Opsix features major updates including 64-voice polyphony and an improved interface. Same powerful six-operator FM synth engine.

Supplier's Notes:
A Full-Spectrum Sound Experience

Opsix mk II is a digital synth like no other. Based on the sound engine of the original Opsix, the number of simultaneous voices and voicings has been expanded to an astounding 64 voices. The result is superior performance and precise control.

The Opsix Operator Mixer simplified FM synthesis for the first time, making it not just comprehensible but also controllable. With the addition of extra synthesis capabilities and programming, it offered a more efficient workflow and an even richer sound.

And, it is fully compatible with the sounds and samples from both the original opsix and the opsix Native software, including numerous high-quality libraries.

Evolved to an astounding 64 voices

The Opsix mk II has 64 voices, twice as many as the original 32 voices, allowing users to enjoy tone editing without having to worry about the number of simultaneous voices. In addition, the operator-mixer section, the most distinctive feature of this product, has been accented with a new image colour, green.

Get Illuminated with the Operator Mixer

At the heart of every sound is Opsix mk II's Operator Mixer - a simple set of six faders and knobs that invite exploration. Each part lights up red to indicate carriers or blue for modulators. Manipulating them opens up new sound-shaping possibilities to breathe fresh life into your musical ideas. This straightforward, hands-on workflow is part of what makes Opsix mk II so unique, just like the sounds it offers.

Direct Hands-On Control

Whether you're tweaking a preset or building a patch from the ground up, the six data entry knobs on the right give you quick access to the parameters you need and seamlessly sync with the large OLED display, giving you a clear, focused direction to your workflow. Coupled with the mixer, it makes creating fresh sounds super easy and, most importantly, fun!

Select from a full range of analogue-style filters, from the radical Korg MS-20 low-pass/high-pass filter to the powerful yet smooth KORG Polysix low-pass filter that gives your sound a vintage feel. There are also two or four-pole low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-reject filters with resonance.

There's even a built-in spectrum analyser and oscilloscope that gives you visual feedback via the screen on the music you're making.

Six in One Synthesis

The core of Opsix mk II is nothing short of exponential. Since waveforms can be arranged and modulated in nearly infinite ways, Opsix mk II can easily do the sonic work that is similar to numerous types of synthesis:

Subtractive

Removing parts of the sound to get the sound you want; the most widely-used synthesis. Opsix mk II uses up to six envelopes and multi-modelled filters to achieve many cutting-edge and classical analogue synthesis tones.

Semi-Modular

Rerouting signal paths to change the sound. A spin through the Algorithm section will dramatically reshape the sound by changing how the signal routing between the operators work together, and no patch cables are needed. Analog-style controls and plenty of stackable waveforms take you from digital to analogue-sounding in no time. Enjoy deep basses, crisp leads, thick pad sounds, fuzzy brass tones, and so much more.

Analogue (Modeling)

Analogue-style controls and plenty of stackable waveforms take you from digital to analogue-sounding in no time. Enjoy deep basses, crisp leads, thick pad sounds, fuzzy brass tones, and so much more.

Waveshaping

Adding intentional distortion to the waveforms to achieve aggressive overtones that are either harmonic or inharmonic. This will help you achieve gritty, bitey tones dripping with character.

Additive

Stacking waveforms and blending their harmonics is key to an expansive range of harmonious, dissonant, and tension-driven sounds. With six operators available, the complete FM experience is possible, including the ability to go back in time for classic sounds you have heard throughout recording history.

Classic FM

Last but certainly not least, Opsix's highly flexible and powerful architecture starts with true six-Operator FM. As a result, it easily delivers signature sounds you have surely heard on thousands of hits from the '80s on through today, and with far more polyphony than other standalone FM synths available today.

With all of these ways to realize and explore sounds, Opsix mk II is uniquely suited as a "future-modern-classic" synth!

Altered Reality

What started as a legacy synthesis has evolved into something completely different. Opsix mk II is FM-based, but the similarities to the classic synthesis end there. The Altered FM architecture delivers sounds across a vast spectrum, far wider than any single synthesis has been able to cover before, thanks to new sound components; new waveforms, filters, shaping, effects, LFOs, envelopes, modulations, and more, all translating to its broad assortment of sounds.

Powerful Effects Processing

Opsix mk II provides three blocks of 30 types of high-definition effects that you can use together to enhance your sounds even further. There's everything from a great mix of usable standard effects like chorus, phaser, delay, and compressor to some world-class shimmering reverbs that will elevate your sound to the next level.

LEP Arpopone Analogue Melody & Bass Line Generator Desktop Synthesiser (wooden box version) (B-STOCK)
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

The Arpopone from LepLoop is a little synth-voice for generating a melody or bass line and a chord section at the same time. It is based on analog ramp dividers of which each one generates a voltage ramp starting from a master clock that can be internal or external.

Trig1 and Trig2 potentiometers set the number of clock pulses.

With the Trig Mix switch it is possible to select between a single trigger (1 or 2) or both (1+2) to advance the scales.

The Scale Step potentiometer sets the number of steps for the two scale generators.
In the mixer section, the two scales are summed together to obtain a more complex pattern. The amount of each scale can be set by two controls and can be positive (ascending scale) or negative (descending scale).

With the VCO Pitch knob, the melody can be transposed while maintaining the same interval between notes.

The note generated by the VCO is fed to a chain of dividers to obtain four sub harmonics of the original note. One of these is the bass section with its own filter and envelope, the other three form the chord section with their envelope.

The two envelope sections are identical, both have a selector for different trigger sources:

Trig1 & Trig2: the envelope starts at the flash of the green LED (bass) or yellow LED (chord)
SB1 & SB2: the envelope starts at the first step of Scale1 (bass) or Scale2 (chord)
White & Blue: the envelope follows the intensity of the white LED (bass) or the blue LED (chord). Except for this setting the envelope length is set by the two controls Bass ENV and Chord ENV. Additionally, an EXT CV input allows to provide an external envelope.
The bass channel is passed through a resonant low-pass filter with Cutoff and Resonance control.

Finally the Bass and Chord channels are mixed together. The output level is set by the Bass LEV and Chord LEV controls.

Meng Qi Honey Mini Touch-Based Noise Instrument
Cat: 1008035 Rel: 10 Apr 24

Mini touch-based noise instrument
Notes: Honey is a palm-sized, touch-based noise instrument based on the bytebeat principle. It runs on a single AAA battery and emits sound through a speaker. It doesn't have an audio jack. It creates dynamic sounds by manipulating variables and mathematical operations through touch.

The internal dynamic equations consist of five variables and four operations, with six possible operators for each operation. They are constantly changing and forming new equations, creating chaotic randomness.

If the unit does not respond correctly, the battery needs to be replaced.

Powered by one AAA battery

Moog Subsequent 37 Paraphonic Analogue Synthesiser (B-STOCK)
Cat: 977103 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Box opened/damaged, but product is in excellent condition and in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened/damaged, but product is in excellent condition and in perfect working order***

Gorgeous analogue synth, the successor to the excellent Sub 37. Two-note paraphonic design capable of classic Moog tones and more aggressive modern sounds. A real bass monster.

Supplier's notes:
The Subsequent 37 is a (2-note) paraphonic analog synthesizer that builds upon the award-winning design of the ultra-powerful Sub 37 Tribute Edition. Its control panel is home to 40 knobs and 74 switches, placing a vast array of analog sound-design tools and onboard sequencing options immediately at your command. The Subsequent 37 improves upon its source through the implementation of a number of user-requested sonic and functional enhancements. Each enhancement maintains the magic and character of its predecessor while also providing access to new dimensions of sound and improved playability.

The SUBSEQUENT 37 mixer section has double the headroom of that in the Sub 37 Tribute Edition. This provides access to a new range of classic clean tones in both mono and duo performance modes. Leveraging the mixer's newfound flexibility, gain-staging in the Ladder filter has been reshaped to boost harmonic saturation and analog compression, resulting in an overall richer low end. Completing the sonic evolution of the SUBSEQUENT 37 is a re-tuned Multidrive circuit that extends well beyond the grit and growl of the original Sub 37.

In addition to the sound engine augmentation, each SUBSEQUENT 37 comes with an upgraded keybed for improved playability, a high-powered headphone amplifier strong enough to drive the most demanding headphones, and a software plugin/editor for both Windows and Mac platforms.
