Review: One month after the 4th release, Multi Vitamins launches MV 05 with 4 dancefloor explosions: The A side starts with none other than the grand master Mark Henning, with a remix of Den's track "Ode to DS", that take you into the soundtrack of a video game. The following track is from our youngster Massi DL, making his 2nd appearance on Multi Vitamins with more clicks & clanks. B1 "Eres Un Alacran" presents our new artist Kresy from Spain. His song blend tweeks, hi hats and mysterious melodies. B2's "Praktik" is the fusion of dub and clicky grooves formed by Spluskamter, Daniel Balaban (aka Plaster) & Roger Flke-Olsen (aka Smuk).

Review: The second offering from Brooklyn-based Let's Play House offshoot, Room Service, is, like the first one, a four-track solo EP by one of the most exciting house music talent's around. RECORDS features four originals by Spanish producer Kresy, who's already released a few 12"s on the esteemed Hivern Discs as well as Retrofit, Freerange, and his own Discomaths. The songs included here vacillate between hands-in-the-air feel good disco and jittery, shuffling house, though they're all unified by an inherent grooviness and bright tonality.

Review: After a couple of excellent Hivern Discs releases, the Lord of percussion Kresy sprouts wings and ascends on the Freerange label with the Ode To New York EP. Such a move is a mark of how respected Kresy has become as a producer since those Hivern releases - see his remix commissions for Exquisite Pain, Southern Fried and Lovemonk as further proof - and this Freerange release precedes a debut on Jay Shepheard's Retrofit. As you might expect from the title, the '90s era of NY House is very much an influence here but the music never veers into homage; instead Kresy's production talent shines through. On "Sweet Dangerous MC's" it's the manner in which the ascendant chords brush up against the clattering broken drums, whilst the wonderfully titled "Last Cocktail Of Stallone" will appeal to fans of contemporary disco not disco. On the flip this track is given a West Coast House rerub by Vin Sol and MATRiXXman and Kresy's diversity is further confirmed on the melodically driven "Midnight In Manhattan".

Review: Hivern Discs drops Basement Trax, a four wrung EP by Kresy that is full of warm basslines and gloriously evocative melodies. "Day Into The Night" kicks things off with a busy and beaming slice of melodic acid house while "Miles In The Galaxy" can be compared to Legowelt's deeper house-techno cuts, replete with sustained keys and classic 909 kick-hat combos. It's easy to imagine Kresy working his studio at full tilt when producing "Mystic Strings" as bassy plods, melodic bells and hectic piano playing creates a lattice work of analogue noise. "Baby In Love" seals the EP with an uplifting and feel good acid workout.

Review: Close followers of Hivern's output will recognise Kresy from his contribution to the label's digitally released 2010 mini compilation Hivern A L'Estiu Vol.2, a wonderfully swampy house reworking of a famously bullet ridden rapper. As the title track from Lords Of Percussion, his full debut on the Barcelona label is quite rightly described as a "psychedelic techno monster" and it's abundantly clear the producer prefers to operate in the murkier end of the rhythmic spectrum. The track is given two finely judged remixes, with fellow Hivern artists Aster lifting the track out of the sludge into a more streamlined fizzing house track notable for the impressive amount of percussive detail and almost overbearing vocal sighing. Meanwhile Dresden figurehead Jacob Korn tightens the groove, laying down a fudgy bassline and crunchy drums before bursting into melodic life, driven by rippling keys. Kresy adds a further original production to end proceedings in the shape of the swirling, spectrally charged "Holding Space" which bristles with enough ideas to make us hope Kresy will be doing a lot more with Hivern in the future.

Review: House-centric producer Kresy began his production career with a pair of storming EP's for Hivern Discs, back in 2012, and since then he's popped up on some of the finest club labels going; Freerange and Retrofit being up there in the ranks. This week, he's back on Discomaths with New Experiences On Old Hardware, and EP clearly dedicated to an analogue sound and chunky warehouse beats. "Frog Acid", as the name implies, is a bundle of 303 magic mixed up with metallic percussion and a dusty swing, followed by the hefty 4/4 to-and-fro of the bleepy 'Washelator". Over on the flip, "It's All Really Happening" sees the producer return to more familiar territories thanks to a powerful, warm-as-hell bass swing, and some gorgeous broken chords. Tip!

Review: Multivitamins do not care about big names. They are giving priority to the unknown but quality new blood.

Review: Exploited is one of those ever-present labels that have never made big headliners or had breakout anthems, but that's probably helped it stay relevant rather than getting chewed up and spat out by the hype cycle. Label head Shir Khan is back here to present a 36th Black Jukebox EP, with Paul Rudder & Kresy serving up the tunes. Their first collab is warm Euro-centric deep house which then gets remixed by Kresy into a 'Continuum mix.' On the flip side, Rudder goes it alone with another warm, well-designed and catchy house roller in the form of 'Her Dream Road'. This time, Kresy serves up a heady Mellonized mix to close out.
