It's a divisive album which captures Suggs' Camden Town likely lads in a period of transition as the 80s wore on and musical styles shifted. Review: The 17th full-length Motorhead LP, originally released in 2004, is often heralded as one of the trio's heaviest works - and with good reason. Linking up with producer Cameron Webb who had been pining for a chance to work with the band, Lemmy was quick to point out that they dealt in rock n' roll, nothing "heavy", yet Webb would persist, tiptoe around the self-confessed egos and realise his vision with Inferno. While some critics branded the project simply more of the same old same old, others noticed the increased heft and fury that brought the band's reliable thrashing cacophony to an elevated level of mayhem. The curveball country-blues closer, 'Whorehouse Blues', also serves as one of the most baffling yet endearing album finales in the Motorhead canon.
