Review: The Back To Mine series is an enduring classic of the electronic scene. It finds your favourite artists taking you on a late-night music trip that soundtracks the afters and is now more than 20 years old. One of the earlier entrants into the series were Faithless back in late 2020. This long-awaited reissue brings their superb collection back into print as a new collector's edition. Sister Bliss and Rollo's eclectic and expert curation takes in a range of lush downtempo sounds from Dido to Bent, Faithless's own 'Sunday 8pm' and Aaron Neville's classic 'Hercules.'

Review: Long running and iconic mix series Back to Mine has got a huge coup for this one, with big beat maestro Fatboy Slim stepping up. As always, he invites you deep into his own personal musical world, offering up a view at the far reaches of his record collection. It's a worldly mix for sure, with scorching dub open things up and rolling reggae rhythms keeping you in a deep groove until the soaring strings and jazz-funk fusion of 'The Pink Panther Theme' changes up the mood. Elsewhere there is blue eyed soul, late night folk and low key Americana as well as the original source of one of his most famous samples on 'Take Yo Praise' that all makes for a lovely and intimate vibe.

Review: The best editions of the long running "Back To Mine" series tend to be those where the chosen selector offers up a varied but loosely linked mix of surprising and lesser-known tunes. On their edition, Mercury Prize nominated duo Jungle has done just that. Beginning with the bluesy late night lament of Barbara Moore's "Steam Heart", the pair takes us on a warming and eye-opening journey through Afrobeat (Inflo), glassy-eyed wind-down deep house (Manuel Darquart, Admin's brilliant "Space Cadet"), skewed pop (Mocky), string-laden jazz-funk (Kamaal Williams), Serge Gainsbourg-esque chanson (Sam Evian), drowsy Balearica (Mansur Brown), and loved-up 1960s style dream pop (The Flying Stars Of Brooklyn NY, HNNY).

Review: If you've ever wondered what you might hear if Nightmares on Wax man DJ E.A.S.E. invited you back to his Ibiza villa for a post-club crack on, this edition of the long-running "Back To Mine" series has all the answers. It's a fine mix, all told, with the Warp Records stalwart running through a range of soulful head-nodders (Children of Zeus, Ladi6, Creative Principle), and sun-kissed good-time grooves (Bosq, Massimo Vanoni), before gently upping the tempo via Dim Zach's Imagination-sampling nu-disco, the simmering jazz-funk of Chieftain, and the NYC proto-house style goodness of Soulphiction's SBM project. Naturally, you'll find a clutch of the Leeds-raised artist's own productions and reworks dotted throughout, including a wonderfully loved-up, string-laden house version of "Russia" by Fat Freddy's Drop.

Review: It has been twenty years since the first Back To Mine release but still the series is going strong. These personal after-hours soundtracks have never sounded more relevant than now, and next up is GRAMMYr Award-nominated, San Francisco-based artist Tycho. It finds him going deeper than one of his famous Burning Man sets as he heads into otherworldly, cinematic headphone territory with tunes from Lancaster, Little Dragon, Octo Octa, Ulrich Schnauss and many more across four fantastic sides of vinyl.
