Review: The more fanatical Frak fans out there will already be well aware of this latest release on Borft which sees group member Johan Sturesson donning his Kord guise for a quite excellent mini album of haywire electronics. Absence Of Fear is his first solo release on Borft since 1998 (!) though there was a 7" issued through sub label Djuring Phonogram back in 2007, and is ripe with bleep laden electro and techno that benefits from the mastering skills of Andreas Tilliander and Jan Svensson. Across the six tracks Sturesson veers through moments of contemplation, abstraction and outright dancefloor brilliance with "Trainwreck" and "In Absence" cuts the more adventurous selectors will cherish.

Deep Sea Reminder (7:54)
Lex 2001 (6:50)
Optical Illusion (8:00)
Frau Bowie (6:55)
Review: We had to double check that this was indeed the first time the mighty Luke Eargoggle had graced Jan Svensson's Borft label, such is their shared DIY ethos and heritage within Scandinavian electronics. But here we are with Train To Illusion, the Borft debut for Luke Eargoggle and a wonderful four track foray into the classic electro sound the Swede has become renowned for. "Deep Sea Reminder" is a delight that could easily snap on for a lot longer than its eight minute reminder, but the record doesn't stay on this hopeful note throughout. Indeed there is a ruff and ruggedness to "Optical Illusion" which will probably appeal to the Helena Hauff's of the world, whilst "Frau Bowie" could easily be mistaken for a Panzerkreuz b side.

Review: Ah that feeling when you pick up a random Borft record, start digging for information and are rewarded with yet another Scandinavian working prodigiously at the margins of DIY electronics. Nimam Spregleda is the solo endeavour of Helsingborg based Henrik Bengtsson, who also moonlights as part of the wonderfully named Goz Mongo Alliance trio (who of course have previously contributed to Borft sublabel UFO Mongo). Prior to this No Future mini LP, Bengtsson has largely committed the Nimam Spregleda material to rare cassette releases and it's nice to see the Swede sticking to his DIY guns across the seven tracks. "Old drum machines and crappy synths" is all Bengtsson uses apparently and it all sounds like a frazzled Felix Kubin. Great primitive electronics for the more daring selectors!!
