Review: Following last summer's scorching anonymous first CV white label "War / Fan Dem Off", RDG's label returns with another mysterious never-to-be-repressed doublet. Fittingly cold and wintry for this time of year, both "Sly" and the much-coveted "Teardrop" are taken to glacial places. Deep, smoky, spacious and foggy, both cuts burn long smouldering fires both at home and in the dance. Grab them while they're ice cold.

Review: The well-established drum & bass label Circle Vision continues with its often mysterious, uncredited white label series. This third instalment comes under the Circle Vision alias, which could be one person, loads of people or whatever else. What we do know is that "Hollow" bangs - frazzled bass zips about under big jungle breaks, with sci-fi pads bringing a sense of futurism to this bassbin bothering banger. "Tings In Boots" hits just as hard with raved up, strobe lit chords and some brilliantly old school sub-bass. Dark, raw, physical, it is pure dancing music of the highest order.

Review: Inspired by an abandoned Ukrainian city, Piezo and Clearlight (both respected solo artists in their own rights) join forces to create an icy fiver of uncompromising deep modern dub compositions. "Pripyat" opens with icicle-minded designs before dropping into a spacious percussive jam that's at once unforgiving and cosmic. Dig deeper for the guttural bass and tech-rhythmic dancefloor-minded "Scourge", the trippy, liquid drum lollops of "Fallen Soul", the slow-and-sludgy techno march "Here Comes The Toxic Rain" and the lonely, fearsome and highly isolating designs of "Punarbhava" which owes more to modern classical than it does dub or dance music. An immense, occasionally challenging and highly thought-provoking project.
