Review: Little over 12 months has passed since the release of long-established D&B producer DLR's debut album, but he's already dropped the follow-up. This abridged, DJ-friendly version contains six tracks spread across two slabs of wax, including two tunes - punchy roller "Time Wasting", and the humid, tropical-tinged percussion assault that is "When Tribes Collide" - that aren't available on digital download editions. According to the artist, the album was inspired by classic D&B and jungle, and the cuts here, most notably the Break hook-up "Wonder What It Feels Like" and Ed Rush & Optical style closer "Trip Up", certainly back up that assertion.

Review: 15 years deep, Ant TC1's Dispatch hits the big ton with a two-pronged attack of restrained, understated, deep rolling drum & bass. "The Future Blueprint" features more of the label's newer affiliates and friends with notable exceptions such as the label bossman (twice!) Other essential highlights across the selected vinyl collection include Skeptical getting us wriggly with "Narko"'s wonky two-step, Survival & Script rolling us out to places unknown with the break-heavy wobbler "Sahara" and the lonely, introspective twangs and metallic shards of Gerra, Stone and Cern's "Kontrol". That's really just the tip of the centennial iceberg, too... Dispatch aren't messing around here. They never have.
