Couldn't Get Anywhere (DJ Goce Yedit) (3:29)
All These Problems (Dj Goce Solution) (4:00)
Review: Dusty Donuts is a mighty fine label that deals only in the most authentic hip hop beats. They have been a while due to going son in the world from pandemics to warfare but now make an essential return with Balkan phenom DJ Goce. It's inspired by the neo-soul of the late 90s and eery 90s, with crisp boom-bap drums that chelate great Dilla would be proud of. The A-side is full of catchy loops and yearning vocals while the flip rolls a little deeper with 'All These Problems' also having snappy but dusty MPC drums and a nagging vocal that you never want to end.

Review: After a bit of time away due in part to the pandemic and other geo-political factors, Dusty Donuts is now back and serving up sugar hip hop treats. This new 7" packs in five fine beats from a mix of artists, namely DJ Robert Smith, Marc Hype, Naughty NMX and Jim Sharp. This is the second in the Weapons of Choice series and it is a mix of classic 90s beats and intoxicating samples. The joints go from deep and laid back to more jazzy and sax laced. 'Scratchdeeznuts 1 & 2' is a cut-up and chopped loop for advanced DJ deployment only.

Just A Touch Of Faith (NMX & Marc Hype Daisy mix) (4:04)
Bonita In My Life (Doc Flex & NMX Big Booty mix) (3:50)
Review: Standby for another big party starting banger from the Dusty Donuts crew. It's been long overdue as the last outing was back in November 2018 but it's well worth the wait. This 16th sizzling platter from the German crew serves up two biggies to mark their 5th anniversary. The A-side finds NMX and Marc Hype revisit Slave's "Just A Touch Of Love" with some big backbeat work, then NMX, this time in the company of Doc Flex, applies the same process to RAMP's "Daylight" on the other side. It won't take a hardcore digger to note that this one was sampled by ATCQ on Bonita Applebum.

I Get Juiced (Doc Flex & NMX mix) (3:56)
How We Do The Show (Doc Flex & NMX Westside mix) (4:14)
Review: They make you wait 15 months for a new release, then put out two in the same few weeks. Dusty Donuts, now five years into their mission to serve up the biggest party breaks and funkiest funk, this time offer the low riding Cali g-funk of "I Get Juiced (Doc Flex & NMX Mix)" which will be familiar to anyone who has heard "I Get Lifted" by Gwen McCrae. The flip is even more smooth and seductive, with the boom-bap grooves and early r&b flow of "How We Do The Show (Westside Mix)" making it a superbly sweet set.

Mary Jane (Jim Sharp Buddah mix) (3:49)
Review: Munchies anyone? Dusty Donuts add a little smoky soul to proceedings with two cruise control slow-jams. Keni Burke's "Rising To The Top" gets a little twist and extension, adding the smouldering allure of the original, while Rick James' emphatic green homage "Mary Jane" takes a few hits and settles into a warm sedate glowing groove. Ideal sunset jams; Jim Sharp's delivered once again.

All Eyes On Lovin' (Naughty NMX Cali mix) (3:32)
Keep Your Head Alright (RUNEX Zapped Up mix) (4:10)
Review: More DJ-friendly cut-ups and mash-ups from the Dusty Donuts camp, whose modus operandi seems to be the pursuit of dancefloor carnage. Naughty NMX is the producer at the controls on side A, delivering a "Cali Mix" of "All Eyes on Lovin" that effortlessly joins the dots between woozy sunshine disco, sugary soul and punchy electrofunk. It's the sort of track that will sound superb booming out of sound systems at sun-baked daytime parties. RUNEX handles the B-side, underpinning elements from a couple of similarly saucer-eyed blue-eyed cuts with punchy, hip-hop style beats and well-placed effects. It's effectively yacht rock for the MPC generation, which is no bad thing in our book.

Flamboyant Move (Naughty NMX & Marc Hype reflip) (3:31)
I Don't Understand Love (Naughty NMX & Marc Hype reflip) (4:36)
Review: More hot-to-trot edit goodness from Dusty Donuts, a seven-inch series aimed firmly at DJs who spin breakbeat-driven funk, soul and disco. These two "re-flips" are the work of Marc Hype and Naughty NMX, two hip-hop loving Berlin veterans who can trace their careers back to the turn of the '90s. On the A-side you'll find "Flamboyant Move", a swirling, string-laden chunk of disco-era soul goodness toughened up with the addition of fat new hip-hop beats, contemporary rap samples and some carefully placed dub delays. They push the envelope further on side B, utilizing string-laden chunks of a soaring disco-soul classic in a loved-up, head-nodding hip-hop workout that should appeal to all those who like their beats served with a big dollop of celebratory, peak-time flavour.

Jim Dunloop - "Espirito Do Rio" (Brazil Wave edit) (3:13)
Jim Dunloop & GRZLY Adams - "Different Sweetnuts" (Walk In The Shade edit) (3:58)
Review: For the latest "45" in the Dusty Donuts series of edits and mash ups, the Berlin-based crew has turned to long-time crew member Jim Dunloop, a jazz-trained pianist-turned-producer best known for his work alongside Marc Hype. He begins with "Spirit De Rio", a wonderfully warm, head-nodding, hip-hop style revision of a summery-sounding old samba gem rich in dewy-eyed female vocals and glistening guitars. Long-time friend, and occasional collaborator Grizzly Adams lends a hand on flipside cut "Different Sweetnuts", a deep and woozy revision of a fragile, female-fronted soul number that wraps drowsy elements from the pair's source material around a bass-heavy beat.

The Get Down (Marc Hype & Naughty NMX rework) (3:42)
Hyped Up Ants (Naughty NMX redub) (3:25)
Review: Seen on the regular alongside fellow colluder Jim Dunloop, dusty-fingered German funkateer Marc Hype returns for another round of 7" action on the ever-dependable Dusty Donuts label. Up top, Hype teams up with Naughty NMX for a heavy duty tweak of James Brown classic "The Get Down" with the added weight to the drums really sounding fresh on a good system. "Pays the cost to be the boss" indeed! Naughty NMX goes solo on the B side, retreating another J Brown standard "I Got Ants In My Pants" with some added Public Enemy - the results speak for themselves. Good work all round.

Old Digger (Jim Sharp edit) (3:56)
Review: For the 20th release on the Berlin-based Dusty Donuts label, they have tapped Londoner Jim Sharp again, who was responsible for their very first release back in 2014. On 'Feelin' Good', Sharp and DJ Goce sample J Dilla track on a lush track, with a late night smoky jazz bar kind of vibe throughout. The sound on B side track 'Old Digger" was made famous by Kanye West however Sharp's edit here injects thumping drums, vocal stabs and a different era of Jazz swing.

The Light (Jim Sharp edit) (4:12)
Review: The Dust Donuts crew return with a reissue of another delicious 7"s of perfectly aged funk and hip hop sounds. Canadian-born, London-based DJ Jim Sharp was at the controls for this third volume and first up his edits 'Rubber Band.' It has big woodblock hits and brash horn leads with a percolating rhythm that rises and falls in dramatic and emotive fashion. The flip is an edit of a classic hip hop Joint, 'The Light', with the aching original vocal left in place next to lush piano chords and dusty golden era beats.

Naughty NMX & Runex - "Check Minnie's Love" (Brexit mix) (3:55)
Review: London/Berlin 45" crew fatten us up once again with a deeply detailed homage to the mighty A Tribe Called Quest: Sharp takes the lead with a supreme blend of "Find A Way" and a Bebel Gilberto cut that Dilla acquainted many of us with. Flip for Naughty NMX hug the EU tearfully and reverse engineer "Check The Rhime" by bringing us back to the delicious Minnie Ripperton source material. This quest is over.
