Minimal House/Tech House
  1. Triggered Feet (6:10)
  2. Autopilot (6:27)
  3. Praise The Chord (7:02)
  4. You Are Overdriving (6:44)
Review: Ascendant DJ/producer in the Amsterdam underground Pascal Benjamin has built up a decent profile over the last few years, with releases on SlapFunk, Botanic Minds and Constant Black. He now adds the ever reliable Eastenderz to the list who present his latest EP. Endz048 features four cuts: the intoxicating, bass driven swing of opener 'Triggered Feet', but it's his focus on the afterhours sound where this youngster really impresses. This can be heard on the druggy microhouse of 'Autopilot' or the wacky shuffle funk of 'You Are Overdriving'

Minimal House/Tech House
  1. Burning Down (6:32)
  2. Forget Me (6:42)
  3. Pickwick (6:50)
  4. Martenitsa (7:36)
Review: The Eastenderz label sets a gold standard when it comes to dubbed out tech house. While always offering functional tackle for the floor, it is never devoid of character, and this new one from Dimmish is another fine case in point. The drums, synths and vocals of 'Burning Down' are so silky that cannot fail to get you in a spin. 'Forget Me' keeps up the seductive but punchy vibes with balmy pads and louche drums and the flip side voyages into space with the squelchy astral funk of 'Pickwick' and 90s-tinged tech of 'Martenitsa'. A great EP.

  2. East End Dubs & Rossi - "New Game" (6:37)

  4. East End Dubs & Rich NxT - "Delicut" (7:46)
  5. East End Dubs & Cuartero - "Static Sea" (6:59)
Review: The unstoppable East End Dubs launches yet another vinyl series here: introducing the first edition of the Collaborations series which features the label chief teaming up with some of the biggest names in tech house. Four cuts on this one: on the A side you've got 'Stargaze' in conjunction with Mannheim's Fabe (Salty Nuts) where they serve up some minimal boompty-funk, while C1 is with the ever reliable Sidney Charles on the hypnotic swing of 'Mental Stealth'. On side D is where it gets serious, on the moody, heads-down groove of 'Delicut' with fellow Londoner Rich NxT, and ending with the infectious afterhours bounce of 'Static Sea' with the ascendant Cuartero.

Minimal House/Tech House
  1. Tape Type (7:47)
  2. Superbold (7:05)
  3. Playing Trigs (7:08)
  4. Pivo's View (6:18)
Review: The Eastenderz label continues to kill it and define its own micro-scene with each and every release. Fabe is very much part of this little pocket where tech house, minimal and electronic funk all coalesce into club-ready pumpers with plenty of personalities. 'Tape Type' bobbles along with nice off kilter hits and a rasping bass. 'Superbold' heads to the cosmos with its smeared pads and expansive feel and 'Playing Trigs' then dials it back to silky deep house sounds with lush neon pads. Closer 'Pivo's View' is another airy cut with well-deployed vocal stabs and a general sense of carefree cool that it's hard not to love.

Deep House
  1. The Pager (6:35)
  2. Final Grades (6:50)
  3. Pitch Banter (6:10)
  4. Undertow (6:50)
Review: One only needs to take a look at the new releases on labels like Eastenderz for a glimpse of who's hot on the minimal/tech house scene. Their latest comes from Talman Records boss Okain, a veteran French producer with over 13 years' experience in the game. ENDZ 038 features four reliable cuts, all tested extensively for their effectiveness on the dancefloor by label chief East End Dubs. From the lean and bass-heavy bounce of "The Pager", the melodic and ethereal hypnotiser "Final Grades" that calls to mind the sounds of 'Rominimal' or the sleazy afterhours minimal funk of "Undertow" - there's all you need right here to keep the party going well into Monday!

Minimal House/Tech House
  1. Everon (7:23)
  2. Izbraz (5:54)
  3. Radian (6:17)
Review: Rich NXT is one of the super reliable contemporary house producers who serve up functional records with a twist. Here comes another such trio on the popular Eastenderz label. 'Everon' pairs acidic bass and bobbling grooves with a heady sax line that drifts up top to add the all important special ingredient. 'Izbraz' is a much darker tune - a collision of dusty jungle breaks, haunting chords and warped vocals that is brilliantly dense and unusual. Lastly, 'Radian' slips into a freak 4am minimal vibe with a hiccupping hook and crispy 90s tech house beats.

Deep House
  1. Din0zaur (8:48)
  2. Nefiu (6:25)
  3. Kald (7:33)
  4. Quatro (7:19)
Review: Buacharest-based Vincentiulian has been an important figure in the global tech-house scene for some time, delivering largely deep and emotive dancefloor cuts for such labels as Atipic, Subtil and Contemporan. Here the Romanian makes his first outing on Eastenderz, an imprint that's fast becoming one of tech-house's most consistent outlets. For the occasion, he's offered up a quartet of cuts that fix warm, deep house style musical elements to thickset, occasionally off-kilter deep house grooves. It's a smart and attractive blend that results in numerous highlights, with the simultaneously chunky and spacey "Kald", moodier "Quatro" and lively opener "Din0zaur" standing out.
