Zasky's European sound is well known for defining his Dubblestandart band while LA native Jed Smith has a fresh new school sound. Together they cook up real magic having worked with the likes of Lee Scratch Perry and Dennis Bovell many times over the years. The album explores all their many different sounds and styles across a deep dive into dub that is as heady as its is propulsive.

Review: German label Echo Beach push out a fresh dub compilation that segues into traces of other genres, from dub techno to steppers. All contemporary styles, with no fluff, come in fine style to the King Size Dub outdoor shindig, as famous tracks from across genre divides - from Depeche Mode's 'Personal Jesus' to The Clash's 'Guns Of Brixton' and Martha And The Muffins' 'Echo Beach' get the dubby reggae cover treatment. Legendary players as well as new-key dub artists come to the fore, with Dubinator, Raggaesta, Dub Mode and Dreadzone all making appearances.
