Review: REPRESS ALERT: Aubrey is a man on everyone's lips at the moment. After nearly 25 years of releasing music, the South Coast techno pioneer has just completed a busy 2013, including a remix for Juan Atkins' Metroplex Records and is pushing his own DOT Records to new heights. Here, Aubrey has followed up his earlier Ferox releases "Abstractions" and "Inner Feelings" with two super deep cuts on this techno jazz fuelled 4 -tracker. On remix duties are label boss Russ Gabriel and his RT-Transmissions partner - Germany's Hans Thalau.

Review: REPRESS ALERT: Mostly found mining his archives on For Those That Knoe and dropping a quality album on Subwax, comeback champ Derek Carr makes the logical move over to Russ Gabriel's Ferox label with four trips through sublime machine soul. If you've listened to previous Derek Carr releases then you know what to expect - the beats flutter with thoughtful programming and the synths cartwheel through expressive patterns that speak to the same sci-fi fantasies that made B12 so iconic in the early 90s. There's also space for a little subtle electro, as on the haunting "Time Out," bringing a touch of versatility to the record without breaking that shimmering vintage techno haze.

I Have Seen Them In A Dream (6:35)
Blind To Revelation (6:25)
Beholden (7:07)
The Infinite Tether (6:43)
Review: Quite how they never linked up before is hard to surmise, but finally UK techno veteran Kirk Degiorgio and UK techno institution Ferox come together to present a killer new EP that draws on the respective legacies of label and artist while presenting something new in the process. "I Have Seen Them In A Dream" is a bubbling, soulful cut that fuses acid lines with stately chord progressions, while "Blind To Revelation" takes a deeper turn into dubbed out percussion and nocturnal melodics. "Beholden" takes a slower, house-inflected turn into blissful pads and strings and then "The Infinite Tether" plots a course spacewards with some refined techno for the astrally-minded.

Peace For Thought (8:02)
Archipelago (7:33)
Finches In Flight (5:19)
Review: Russ Gabriel returns to Ferox with another round of classy, thoughtful techno excursions that point to his decades in the game. "Peace For Thought" stretches across the A side, its forthright rhythm section carrying an elegiac line in synth work. "Archipelago" is a snappier, Detroit-tinted workout defined by its catchy organ leads. "Finches In Flight" sends the B2 tripping off on a downtempo selection crafted with the chillout room (or some other non-dancefloor situation) in mind, and sounds utterly magnificent with it. Once again Gabriel proves his deft touch as well as his diversity on this sterling new entry in the Ferox canon.

Tears (7:57)
Inner Cycles (6:21)
Arthropod (6:14)
Review: Having only previously appeared on various artist releases in the past, Darren Harris gets his first full release on Ferox - a fine place for this promising techno talent to stretch his legs. There's a recognisable Ferox shimmer to "Tears" on the A side, using myriad layers in the mix for a full-bodied sound without sacrificing depth. "Inner Cycles" is a more stripped back affair, while "Arthropod" ditches the dancefloor in favour of a chill out room headspace, but all the tracks share the same ingredients of clean, thoughtfully programmed beats and synth lines that hark back to the good old days.

Hermeneutica (6:19)
Los Archivos Del Tiempo (5:46)
Lunasched (6:19)
Kremvax (6:22)
Review: Ferox continues to explore the realms of contemporary electro and adventurous techno with this snappy sure shot from Hoax Believers. The pseudonym for Alejandro Lopez (who also records as Jandroid) was last seen on Ferox back in 2015, and now returns with a bold statement that leaves us gasping for more. "Hermeneutica" is a sprightly machine funk workout dripping with braindance playfulness and a devilish streak, while standout jam "Los Archivos Del Tiempo" uses some pretty startling synth shapes to create a feverish party rocker. "Lunasched" brings a rough and tough strain of electro to the table, and "Kremvax" twists the dungeon techno formula into a lurid fever dream for sordid souls.

Review: 180g vinyl 4 track EP. Ferox is very proud to welcome a new artist to the roster for this release. Dublin-based Lerosa has a raw style very much his own and is well-known for his releases on Uzuri, Real Soon and Ireland's own D1 Recordings.

Intense City (4:56)
Sunrays (5:15)
Angelic Whispers (6:13)
Focusyn (6:02)
Review: Mihail P comes to Ferox with some taut techno very much drawing from the vein of machine soul that has defined Russ Gabriel's label since the start. "Intense City" is shrouded in mysterious pads, but it crackles with an urgent energy thanks to the razor sharp drum programming. "Sunrays" is a sweeter affair loaded with cascading synth delights, and "Angelic Whispers" takes things even deeper with an ambient-leaning palette. "Focusyn" is another mellow reflection, but this time there's a greater emphasis on crafty rhythms to offset the melancholy of the pads.

Review: The original Adventures in Techno Soul compilation was released back in 1996 with remixes of Ferox tracks from the likes of Derrick Carter, Carl Craig and Kenny Dixon Jr. A full 16 year's after its follow up "Further Adventures in Techno Soul" comes this 8 track album of new and unreleased material on double vinyl from 8 different and exciting artists. Ferox is proud to welcome established and respected producers such as Fred P and Germany's Move D to the roster, as well as a welcome return from Affie Yusuf, Nebraska and Bush Funk (Steve O'Sullivan and Winlord X) who were last seen on Soma Records back in 1996. The label is also proud to introduce two new artists, Darren Harris and Spain's Hoax Believers who alongside label boss Russ Gabriel round off this package of soulful electronica. This album is not available as a digital release.
