Review: Despite the convincingly old school art work and similar throwback sounds on offer on this 12", it appears to be a brand new jam from Tony Black. Fusing synth, disco and early electro into a classic but timeless sound, the original 'Put Your Dancin' Shoes On' is a nice funky, lumpy tune to get the hips swinging. Massimo Berardi ups the chug to make it a slow motion hypnotiser and the Les Inferno Broken Funk remix takes it back to the acid jazz sound of the 90s. The Musta remix is a chunky house version for club plays.

Review: More from re-launched Italo-disco era label Full Time Records, who here present four fresh reworks of tracks from the vaults. G.A.M.M-signed scalpel hero Moplen steps up first to deliver a fine dubbed-out re-edit of Boeing's slap bass-propelled electrofunk classic "Dance To The Beat", before Massimo Beradi adds a little subtle, mid-tempo house flavour to Electric Mind's lesser-celebrated 1982 Italo-disco jam "Summing Up". DJ Rocca opens side B in some style, hammering away at a TR-808 drum machine while giving Maurice McGee's 1984 cut "Styx" an altogether deeper vibe. Meanwhile, Re-Tide turn Orlando Johnson's Paradise Garage favourite "Turn The Music On" into a muscular chunk of bass-propelled boogie-house badness.

Review: In the year that the man, the legend, Frankie Knuckles passed away still so young, he had a few things in store for us. Not one, but two remixes of Jago's Classic "I'm Going To Go" anthem, and it was about time these saw the light of day. It's hard to say whether they are the same remixes, or very similar edits. Whatever the case, you get two versions to play with, both being absolute club rippers with vocals and all. That bassline is so seductive that it'll have you spinning in twists.

Review: There are few bigger or more celebrated Italo-disco singles than Kano's 'I'm Ready', which became an anthem on underground U.S dancefloors (as well as in its native Italy) following its release in 1980. Here it gets a new pressing courtesy of re-established original Italo-disco label Full Time Production, with Kano's original mix - a soaring, synth-heavy sing-along driven forwards by waves of arpeggio-style synth sounds and insatiably funky bass - being joined by a trio of 21st century revisions. Mousse T delivers vocal and instrumental takes that cleverly chop-up and loop up key sections to re-imagine the track as a surging funky house number smothered in vintage Italo-disco synth sounds, while FrescoEdits stretches out an extra-percussive disco groove before throwing in choice synth sounds and vocals from Kano's peerless original mix.

Review: Kano was one of the towering figures in the Italo disco scene.The band was made up of Luciano Ninzatti on guitars, with keys by Stefano Pulga, production from Matteo Bonsanto and deep vocals from Glen White. Their self titled debut album arrived in 1980 on Full Time Records and has remained a classic ever since. This limited edition reissue presents it in all of its glory with some added interlude tracks for extra cosmic fun. There are glossy pop nuggets like 'Interlude One' as well as dazzling soul-funk-disco bombs like 'Everybody Get Down.' It's a retro euro sound, but one that will still unite dancers.

Review: It's fair to say that Maurice's McGee's "Do I Do" is something of an Italo-disco classic. It was initially released back in 1983 on Full Time Records, and featured the man himself - seemingly an invented alias for a local Genova singer recruited by the prolific Studio G production team - telling a tale of missed parties and late night opportunities over a backing track that sits somewhere between the all-arpeggio grooves of Italian disco and the slick, synth-heavy warmth of '83 New York boogie. On this timely reissue, the extended vocal version (remastered to sound extra loud) is accompanied by the arguably superior Instrumental take, which wisely highlights clipped disco guitars and the superb, synth-heavy groove.

Review: The rhythms of this new LP from Musta are so loose and jangly their likely to shake your bones free from your own skeleton. They are part disco, part house, part tribal in make-up but the results are entirely new - ritualistic dances for late night sermons. The opener might be the best of the lot as 'Tamburi Parlanti' pairs lumpy drums and rugged guitar riffs with rising synth magic a la Theo Parrish. 'Timido' is another steamy bit of body music from deep in a humid jungle and that continues with 'Where Is Juanito'. The flipside is every bit as joyful, with spiritual Afro sounds and beatdown making for a vibrant and varied EP.

Review: Back to 1981 with this absolutely divine piece of 80s funk boogie from Trinidad soul merchant Jimmy Ross. Whether "First True Love Affair" is about matters of the heart or our relationship with our record collections we don't know, but what we do know is that this remains a solid treat for the dancefloor. We also know that Larry Levan's mix still totally slaps in every possible way from the big synth overlays and Q&As and dynamic arrangement that keeps breaking down to the juiciest basslines Levan ever touched.
