Review: Cosmic disco legend Daniele Baldelli with brand new trancey disco and space techno tracks. With cheesy Italo Disco getting popular again in 2005, Baldelli thinks that its time to bring on some deepness again. Well worth checking out!

Naked Smile (original mix)
Naked Smile (Metranamy remix)
Naked Smile (Naum Gabo remix)
Review: Box Codax is the long expected solo project of Franz Ferdinand's guitarist Nick McCarthy & Alex Wagner - a catchy LoFi-Pop-Disco-FreakOut from another planet. Somewhere between Gnarls Barkley, Talking Heads, Ween and even old skool Beastie Boys jams. The album will be released on Gomma end of September 2006.

Review: Drrtyhaze are Drilla (aka Haze and Mr. Drrty) from the Lower East Side/New York City. They are a new act on the German Gomma label and the "Voodoo" EP is their first release. Till now they are mostly known for their parties in New York and for DJing their very own dirty Drrtyhaze style. The A-side is kind of a hymn to the place where they live: the Lower East Side. Pure party boogie! The flipside are two spaced out slow hippy disco trips.

Review: In a career that stretches over 20 years Belgian duo The Glimmers have done it all. Annoyed the Rolling Stones; put out countless twelves and albums on their own Diskomo imprint and others; curated compilations for the likes of Eskimo, DJ Kicks and Fabric; helped form electroclash via their eclectic sets and lived to tell the stories. Whomp That Sucker, the latest album from the duo marks a belated appearance on Gomma, one of the few labels that haven't been graced by the Glimmers magic (a Phenomenal Handclap Band remix aside). Recorded in conjunction with close pal Ray Mang, David & Mo Glimmers set the tone with the opening track "Patty Cake Online", a thunderous combination of turbo charged percussion, multi faceted analogue effects and a sinewy bassline. The accompanying press release from Gomma urges the listener to play this album loud and such advice should be followed as the raw sensation of tracks such as "U Rocked My World" and "Killing Jokes" is best experienced when you can feel the bass throbbing away in your guts. Visceral unadulterated dance music at its finest.

We Love Tokio
Review: Gomma brings two sick new tracks from Golden Bug. "Horses" has dark Italo basslines, crisp synthesizers, Ghetto vibes and a hip-house attitude. The fucked up Rick James-like vocals on "Horses" as well as the Japanese cut-up rap, "We love Tokio", on the flip, won't get out of your head!

Running Into Time (Autokrate remix)
New
Review: Grunge-techno and acid-disco by Berlin's Clubrock champion, Headman. The first new Headman single after a two year
period in which Headman created his own label, Relish, and did remixes for everyone from The Gossip to Mylo and
Franz Ferdinand.
This is the first 12" from the new Headman album which will be released in spring 2008 on Gomma.
Remixes on this 12" by Autokratz from Kitsune and Lele (aka Parra - the mighty edit maestro from Belgium).
Headman/ Manhead remixed hits for Royksopp, The Rapture, Roxy Music, Zombie Nation, Radio 4 and many more.
Besides his stuff for Gomma he also did records for Kitsune, Output, and Eskimo. Last year, his singles
'On & On' and 'Moisture' and their remixes were club hits.

New & Non Lubricated
Vegetable Of The Month
Review: In Flagranti are from New York City. They have been releasing some amazing stuff on Codek records (debut album out soon!) and organize the famous "Happy Ending" parties in the Lower East Side on Tuesdays. They have been DJing alongside the Munk guys a lot and now is the time that they do an EP for the label - and what a crispy piece of wax: Four midtempo housetracks: Cosmic disco and Balearic funk with a hip hop attitude. This is the NYC shit for 2007 - pitch down your players!

Electro House
Disco Clown (Digitalism remix)
Ce Kul (Marco Passarani R remix)
Mein Schatzi (Zongamin Remix - bonus beats)
Review: Re-release of the three most requested remixes that were originally released accompanying Munk's debut album 'Aperitivo' in 2004.
Still sounding fresh and up-to-date remixes by Digitalism, Passarani & Zongamin. The NME defined Munk as 'the German DFA.' while
London's I-D called them 'cool in every sense of the word!' Digitalism, DJ Chloe, Passarani & Zongamin in the studio with the Munich
boys Munk. Three amazing cut-up-electro-disco smashers that were originally released three years ago at the same time as Munk's
debut album: but these tracks sound so fresh and up-to-date that Gomma decided to collect them and re-press them all together.
Ultra-dirty beats from Digitalism and Zomgamin vs. supersexy vocals by Parisian techniqueen DJ Chloe. About the 12inch: 'Just spin
any of these remixes and watch the floor fill with joy.' Fact.

Who Made Who - "Space For Rent" (Green version)
Review: "Gommagang 4" is the 100th Gomma release. It's a mix of space-disco, garage-techno and new wave funk in a cosmic, pitched down, freaked out, psychedelic style! It's not a normal DJ mix, but a 22 track mix collage.

Love (part 1 & 2)
Review: The new Italo band Rodion have been getting heavy props for their first release on Gomma Records. Not only by Hans Peter Lindstrom - who declared to have fallen totally in love with the Rodion style - but by Electro Disco DJ's all over the world. Now they deliver "Fisico", the second superfine future cosmic disco 12" - a space disco orgy that starts with extremely melodic classic Italo disco, ending up in an obscene acid ecstasy. A perfect summer record!

Road Less Travelled (original)
Road Less Travelled (DJ Kaos & Sonns remix)
Road Less Travelled (Still Going remix)
Review: Imagine Neon Neon teamed up with Justice. Imagine they made a track and got it remixed by WhoMadeWho. That's as close as you can get to "Road Less Travelled" in terms of references; catchy, poppy but ballsy enough for the floor, the Swedish act have nailed this very precise sonic science. Remix-wise Kaos & Sonns strip the vibe back and lay down a whole heap of acid while Still Going brings the vocal to the fore and backs it up with a firing electro riff. Timelessly epic.

Nancy Whang & Audiojack - "Like An Eagle"
Nancy Whang & Bonar Bradberry - "Working The Midnight Shift"
Nancy Whang & Audiojack - "Like An Eagle" (Black Loops & Maik Yells remix)
Review: LCD Soundsystem and The Juan Maclean muse Nancy Whang heads to the north of England to create two consummate disco covers. First up is a cover of Dennis Parker's "Like An Eagle", a track that gave us one of house music's most timeless vocal samples. Audiojack's beats are a space-aged carpet ride into the furthest of cosmoses while Nancy's voice wafts dreamily in and out of the modulations. Next up; collaboration with PBR Streetgang's Bonar Bradberry with a cover of Donna Summer's "Working The Midnight Shift". Slow and sultry, Bonar's synths purr and skulk as Nancy's delivery takes centre stage with a full dynamic range. For added pleasure, Gomma have also delivered a killer jacking bass house remix from Black Loops and Maik Yells. Gomma have gone the extra mile on this one!
