IK Multimedia ARC 2.5 Advanced Room Correction System With MEMS Measurement Microphone
Cat: 655445 Rel: 02 Nov 17

DAW-based acoustic room correction plug-in with measurement microphone & software
Notes: Tune your studio to perfection with the world's most effective room correction system - now with a new, highly accurate MEMS measurement mic.

ARC System 2.5 with MEMS microphone is the first acoustic correction system that combines a super accurate MEMS measurement microphone, measurement software AND a correction plug-in to greatly improve the audio monitoring accuracy of speakers in any studio or room listening environment in an elegant, portable, affordable, easy to use and extremely professional solution.

With literally thousands of ARC-based studios worldwide, you can be confident you are making a sound choice!

A new professional MEMS microphone:

ARC System 2.5 now includes a brand new, ultra-precise MEMS measurement microphone that perfectly works in synergy with ARC's correction software (previous ARC mic models will be supported.) The microphone is built around an omnidirectional, high precision MEMS capsule that ensures maximum response accuracy and stability over time.

In contrast to standard condenser measurement microphones, which are potentially subject to subtle frequency response variations over time, MEMS technology is far more stable.

Thanks to the manufacturing process behind them, MEMS microphones boast extreme resistance to humidity and temperature variations as well as increased durability. This means that they are much more forgiving to "professional abuse" and you can carry them around without worrying about damaging them. Also, all microphones units that are manufactured following this procedure, share the same degree of accuracy with near-zero variation in terms of final performance from unit to unit.

As a result, all measurement processes will always be spot on, repeatable and reliable even after longer periods of time.

Did you know? The ARC System 2.5 MEMS microphone makes for a great additional OMNI pattern recording tool you can add to your mic arsenal! Use it to capture the natural ambience of a studio/room while recording vocals, guitars and other acoustic instruments.

Trust your ears:

ARC simply takes your room "out of the mix." Now you can explore your creativity and mix with confidence.

ARC employs Audyssey MultEQ XT32 patented technology to improve your monitoring system ensuring that what you hear is not being affected by problems caused by room acoustics.

Near field monitor systems generally used in studio applications are designed to deliver sound without distortion or coloration; however, when they are placed in a room, the surrounding walls, ceiling, furniture, and other objects reflect and absorb sounds, creating complex artifacts specific to that room that ultimately cause the monitors to lose the accuracy they have been designed for in the first place. As a result, you end up hearing more of the room's sound, than the music being reproduced.

A break-through affordable solution for acoustic room correction:

Traditionally studio acoustics can be improved with acoustic treatments - but these are generally very expensive and require professional installation - which is often not practical in many of today's home and project studios. Other types of electronic correction systems use some form of equalization that works only on the frequency response of the room but worsen the phase response of the audio material. ARC System neatly solves all these problems with a unique and innovative DAW (Digital Audio Workstation,) based solution that works both in the frequency and time domain and is not affected by any of the drawbacks of other types of correction systems.

ARC is designed to provide everything you need to turn any room into a place where serious music production happens. Now you can listen and mix with utmost confidence, knowing that what you hear is what is actually there. All you have to do to is plug the microphone in and follow a few simple steps. No rocket science involved.

Do you really need ARC if your room is already treated?

With ARC you can improve the acoustics of ANY room. An untreated room will experience a dramatic improvement - but also treated rooms will sound MUCH better depending on the quality of the existing treatment. From amateur bedroom studios to the most professional high-end treated rooms, ARC will make an improvement in your monitoring environment.

IK Multimedia AXE I/O Solo 2-In 3-Out USB & MIDI Audio Interface
Cat: 763087 Rel: 08 Jul 20

USB audio interface
Notes: IK Multimedia proudly announces AXE I/O SOLO, a new entry in its range of AXE I/Or high-end guitar interfaces with advanced tone-shaping features.

Developed for guitar players who want to record the best possible sound on a budget or on the go, AXE I/O SOLO is a compact 2-in/3-out USB audio interface that features IK's high-end PURE microphone preamp; an instrument input with proprietary tone-shaping options; an exclusive Amp Out to incorporate real gear into a recording setup; and 24-bit, 192 kHz converters with a wide dynamic range, for pristine recordings in all musical genres.

AXE I/O SOLO can also act as a controller for use with IK's included AmpliTuber or other favourite guitar-friendly software, offering a complete, affordable solution for players who want the best possible tone for their tracks.

AXE I/O SOLO offers IK's high-definition, Class A PURE mic preamp, designed for transparent and clean recording. An extended, flat frequency response captures the full tonal range of voices and instruments without colouring the sound. A best-in-class dynamic range ensures ultra-quiet recordings.

Proprietary tone-shaping options let users dial in the perfect settings for their instruments or coax a wider range of tones from a single instrument:

First, an active & passive pickup selector adapts instantly to any instrument. The active channel bypasses unneeded gain stages, ensuring the signal is always as direct and uncoloured as possible.

Next, AXE I/O SOLO offers both a PURE circuit for pristine, transparent sound and a JFET circuit for adding warmth and harmonics, all within a single device.

Finally, IK's proprietary Z-Toner impedance-adapting circuit lets users adjust the input impedance to interact with their guitar's pickups: at the maximum impedance, sounds are tighter, sharper and more precise, and at lower impedances the sound becomes thicker and bolder.

These controls give guitars even more sonic character - with just a few minutes' experimentation, users can dial in a sound that perfectly fits the mix.

AXE I/O SOLO offers a streamlined re-amplification setup in a single box. A front panel Amp Out lets guitar and bass players incorporate real amplifiers and stompboxes without the need for an external conversion box. This low-noise out also eliminates ground loops, to keep even the highest-gain re-amplification as quiet as possible.

AXE I/O SOLO preserves the best-in-class dynamic range, ultra-low self noise and wide, extended frequency response of the original AXE I/O, ensuring premium sound quality for recording both instruments and vocals.

1/4" balanced outputs and a headphones out provide comprehensive connections, and a "blend" knob mixes direct and processed signal for zero-latency monitoring. In addition, AXE I/O SOLO also features two dedicated inputs for controller pedals and switches, plus MIDI In/Out, offering a range of options for real-time control over amp modelling plug-ins or recording software.

For seamless, out-of-the-box recording and processing, AXE I/O SOLO comes bundled with AmpliTube 4 Deluxe, IK's powerful guitar and bass tone studio for Mac/PC/iPhone/iPad, as well as a suite of T-RackS mixing & mastering plug-ins and Ableton Live 10 Lite recording software.

The built-in headphone output allows for convenient silent playing when studying or practicing. Plus, when used in live performances the balanced stereo output allows for long cable runs directly from the keyboard to the PA or mixer which is useful for performing keyboard players or DJs.

Take control with touch controls:
Despite their ultra-compact dimension, iRIg Keys I/O include all the tactile controls you would expect from a fully-fledged controller and more. Starting with a fast synth-action key bed that improves on all preceding IK keyboards and it's a joy to play. Both the models feature one volume/data push knob, 4 touch sensitive knobs on 2 banks (acting as 8 total controls) and 8 multicoloured, velocity sensitive pads. IK Multimedia Syntronik Virtual Synthesizer (USB stick)
Cat: 660806 Rel: 25 Sep 17

Synthesiser software instrument with 17 synth models & 38 effects - Mac/PC
Notes: Syntronik is a cutting-edge virtual synthesizer that raises the bar in sound quality and flexibility thanks to the most advanced sampling techniques combined with a new hybrid sample and modelling synthesis engine. Syntronik includes 17 amazing instruments, available as a collection or separately, with over 2,000 preset sounds covering a wide selection from 38 of the most iconic to ultra-rare and painstakingly multi-sampled vintage synthesizers. Syntronik's synthesis engine goes well beyond traditional sampling thanks to a brand new analog modelled filter section created with the utmost expertise from IK, the pioneer in virtual circuit modelling. This is coupled with exclusive DRIFT technology to accurately reproduce the behaviour of oscillators from real hardware synths. All of this combined with an effects section that is unrivalled in the world of virtual instruments along with advanced features like 4-part layers, splits and arpeggiators make Syntronik the ultimate source of inspiration with the widest palette of synthesizer sounds ranging from exact reproductions of the originals to sounds never heard before that will stand out from the crowd in productions covering any genre and style.

Capturing Synthesizer DNA:
When it comes to accurately reproducing the sound of timeless machines like Moog, Oberheim, Sequential Circuits, ARP, Roland and Yamaha vintage synthesizers, sampling their sound-generating oscillators is the only way to ensure truly authentic sounds. IK selected some of the most sought-after synthesizers, sourced only the best instruments from private collections, and painstakingly sampled them. Sound designers worked hand in hand with software developers to take full advantage of this 'synthesizer DNA', with the goal of offering a highly flexible instrument that would maintain the exact sonic character of the originals while extending their creative potential even further. IK have captured multiple round robins of single oscillators, oscillator combinations (including sync and FM sweeps) and after more than 70,000 samples and 50GB later, Syntronik is ready to set a new standard in the world of virtual instruments.

Hybrid Synthesis Architecture:
In order to achieve highly flexible sound manipulation while maintaining the same exact sound of the original hardware, IK evolved their synth engine to include circuit-level filter models of 4 of the best sounding machines of all time: Moog transistor ladder, (found in the Minimoog and Modular Moog), Roland's IR3109 chip (found in the Jupiter-8 and Juno-60), the famous Curtis CEM3320 chip (found in the Prophet-5 and Oberheim OB-Xa) and the Oberheim SEM state variable filter.

This hybrid architecture allows for a pristine reproduction of the most critical section of every synthesizer. Plus, every filter is selectable within each included synthesizer, enabling users to create their own combinations by mixing or matching at will, like using a Moog filter on an Oberheim oscillator to produce entirely new original sounds that stand out from the crowd! Syntronik also provides powerful digital filters like Formant and Phase filters that can take the analog source oscillators into new sonic dimensions.

DRIFT Technology:
Syntronik also includes all new DRIFT technology that breathes more life into the sampled oscillators themselves. Typically sample-based synthesizers have the limitation of having always the same exact sample attack, something that does not happen in their true hardware counterparts. IK's DRIFT technology varies the phase, colour and pitch of the sampled oscillators to keep them moving just like the real analog oscillators do. Much more than simple detuning or even multiple-source modulation, DRIFT emulates the way real analog circuits behave over time. The result is the unmistakable sound of analog that is the origin of any classic synthesizer sound.

Instant inspiration:
In order to get the most out of Syntronik, you don't need to be an expert in synth programming. In fact, all models share consistent easy-to-use controls that will make custom sound tailoring and editing a breeze, even for 'non-geeks'. IK have also designed 17 dedicated interfaces which look and feel like the original panels to make your sound tweaking experience even more inspirational.

When it comes to high-quality effects, IK's expertise is simply indisputable. Syntronik comes with 38 mind-blowing effects which are derived from our best-selling T-RackS mix and mastering suite and AmpliTube guitar workstation. They have also designed some new ones like the famous Ensemble Chorus, for a total number of effects that you won't find in any other vintage synth collection of its kind. 5 effects can be simultaneously inserted on every instrument via a new attractive 'lunchbox-style' interface that allows for an immediate visualization and editing of every parameter from within a single, convenient interface.

Made in collaboration with Italian analogue specialist Soundmachines, UNO Drum follows the acclaimed UNO Synth, combining massive analogue tone with digital flexibility and convenience.

UNO Drum makes it easy to program and perform using the widest sonic palette to add professional drum grooves to your music.

12 killer sounding drum elements:

UNO Drum offers 6 true analogue drum sounds for the warmest, richest, and most dynamic drum sounds possible. This includes 2 different kick drums, snares, claps, and hi-hats - the core kit that characterizes the most iconic analogue drum sounds of all time.

Plus, added PCM elements (with 54 samples to choose from) are available for additional sonic flavours. Toms, rims, cowbells, rides, and crash cymbals help you create complex, unique, and full rhythm tracks. UNO Drum lets you use up to 12 elements in total between analogue and digital sounds (11 voice polyphony).

All of the above can be stored and recalled on the fly with 100 drum kit presets, all pre-programmed and fully editable at your leisure. It's a breeze to find an IK inspired kit that catches your ear and tweak to fit your taste, or create your custom kits from scratch. Make something you like and save and store for later use - UNO Drum is ready to recall your beats whenever you are.

UNO Drum also offers 3 master effects: analogue drive and compressor and a stutter effect. Turn up the drive to make your grooves hit harder with an aggressive edge. Add compression to make your tracks tighter, gluing together your rhythm with a fat and heavy punch. Like what you hear? Good. Your settings will save right with your kit for instant recall. Stutter offers adjustable depth, from subtle tremolos to full-on slices, to create different feeling sounds and grooves.

Wider sonic palette:

UNO Drum lets you freely swap analogue and digital elements, so you never have to feel limited by pre-set combinations. Between the analogue engine designed by SoundMachines and samples drawn from IK's award-winning SampleTank sound & groove workstation, the diverse collection of sounds encourages fresh ideas and unique creation.

Producers, beat-makers, creators, and DJs alike can always count on UNO Drum to find their groove. With the help of UNO's sound editing controls, options are always available for the key parameters of each sound element. Tweak the Tuning of your kicks for sub-rattling hip-hop, adjust Snap for punchy EDM drums, push the Decay for thundering industrial sounds, and so much more. UNO Drum's in - depth control encourages experimentation to take your drum tracks far beyond the usual.

Easy to use and perform:

12 touch-sensitive pads line the centre of UNO Drum, offering two velocity zones for more expressive live playing and easier programming. These can be used to play entire beats live with a pad-style feel, or to easily add your own live flare on top of pre-programmed rhythms.

Fully programmable to suit your style:

Whether you prefer 808s or MPCs, UNO Drum makes it easy to program the way you want.

The step sequencer lines the bottom of UNO Drum, showing 16 steps and 4 pages. Tap a step and hit a pad to add a hit to that selected step, or use the Record button play within a pattern. The sequencer also allows you to automate up to 8 parameters per step, for radically different sounds on each beat.
