Review: This classic Roy Ayers album seems to get reissued almost exactly every 10 years, and every time it quickly disappears, so move fast for this latest drop by Nature Sounds. The album has just four tunes across two sides of vinyl and has talented musicians like Joe Henderson, Charles Tolliver, Bruno Carr, Jack Wilson and more all featuring. It is one of Roy's earlier works from back in 1967, before he became a funk, acid jazz & r&b icon, and has elements of his mad vibraphone skills front and centre. he super cool tracks are infused with the sunny sounds that Roy is so well loved for.

Review: The mega talent that is Georgia Anne Muldrow again showcases her producer, vocalist and musicianship skills on this superb new album for Nature Sounds. It is a superb blend of jazz, hip hop, funk and the most masterful lyrics from Detroit rapper Elzhi. The MC was of course a core part of the legendary group Slum Village so comes with real quality deep in his bars. This collaborative album is a real high-water mark for hip hop with mega grooves, silky synths and whirlwind rhymes that all have a fine underlying message.

Review: Fatlip & Blu were coming at us Live From The End Of The World on this sublime album via Nature Sounds. Fatlip of course has already assured his legacy as a member of The Pharcyde, one of the scene's most pioneering outfits back in the 1990s. He was an always creatively adventurous soul and Blu is no less acclaimed having always been able to narrate a wide range of tales. Here they called upon a wide range of west Coast talents and covered plenty of golden tunes which all now make it to wax for the first time. Guests include Del The Funky Homosapien, Gift Of Gab, MC Eiht, And Ras Kass, Along With Members Of Jurassic 5, Tha Alkaholiks, Souls Of Mischief, Freestyle Fellowship and more.

Review: Shafiq Husayn has been a driving force on the Los Angeles music scene for decades. He is a producer, songwriter and vocalist who is part of the agenda setting trio Sa-Ra Creative Partners and has produced for greats like Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Ice-T, Bilal and Jurassic 5. The Grammy winner is also leader of the expansive The Dove Society collective with whom he links here for a new album So Gold. It's an eclectic, love-fulled fusion of jazz, cosmic soul, hip hop and r&b that is packed with lush musicianship, smooth vocal flows and timeless grooves.

Review: Talib Kweli and Madlib are two of the biggest names in hip-hop, one a mic man with exceptional skills the other a beat maker like no other. They first worked tother in 2006 on a joint project and thankfully they now reunite for the highly-anticipated follow-up, Liberation 2. This is an album that is as expansive lyrically and with its themes as it is musically. As you would expect form this pari of heavyweights, the album is defined by thought-provoking lyricism and raw soundscapes that explore revolution, love, pan-Africanism, music, spirituality, and more with plenty of jazz-tinged instrumentals and guest spots from Q-Tip, Westside Gunn, Roc Marciano, Roy Ayers, Goapele, Wildchild, Pink Siifu and more.

Review: This is a new, short and seriously sweet album from Oh No - Madlib's bother - who is famed for being an innovator and mad talented when it comes to the art of sampling as well as rapping and beat making. He has a rich history of exploring a wide world of source material and here it is jazz funk great Roy Ayers in the spotlight. This superb instrumental collection deconstructs the work of iconic vibraphonist and is split into two halves each with its own vibe and all constructed from the early jazz-centric realm. Good Vibes is all about light and vibrant layers beaming in the sun and Bad Vibes is more dark and murky for angrier times.

Review: Nature's Sounds presents 'NY's Finest' from Pete Rock. Rock revolutionized rap production through ground-breaking studio wizardry. He made
remixes matter more than the original songs. He introduced dramatic, forceful horns to rap's sonic discussion. Pete Rock has notched these
achievements during his impeccable recording, producing and remixing career, one of the most distinguished in rap history and one that includes
collaborations with Nas, Common, Mary J. Blige, Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes, Public Enemy and Run-DMC, among many others.

Review: Nature Sounds have put together this special reissue album for Record Store Day Black Friday. It is a record originally from 2013 and featuring Jadakiss, NORE, Raekwon, and Sheek Louch. The whole thing was produced by Scram Jones and now it gets pressed onto wax for the first time on limited clear vinyl. The beats hit hard, with crunchy hits and urban swagger all topped off with plenty great bars from the various vocalists. It still sounds fresh today and is an essential piece for any discerning hip-hop head.

Review: If you like a lo-fi and jazzy take on dusty hip hop then this one's for you. It finds lowkey production from Mach-Hommy in perfect harmony with Fahim's thoughtful words and stylish delivery. The album - which isn't a first collaboration for this duo - is packed with plenty of samples from the worlds of soul and funk and so bare the by now signature sounds of both. Complex and street-level lyricism elevates these tunes beyond the sum of their parts with plenty of spiritual moments like 'Foto Synth' next to tracks imbued with a certain optimism such as 'Points Of Light.'

Review: Brooklyn heavyweight Your Old Droog is one of the most prolific rappers in the game right now, and following up quickly on his Time LP (which featured the likes of Doom and Edan) comes this sure shot. As ever the beats sport a maverick touch where major label rock gets squashed into a funk and the drums slip and slide around seriously loose grooves. The ideas just spill out of this guy, and he's brought some co-conspirators along for the ride. Look out for Lil Ugly Mane and Billy Woods on 'Meteor Man' and Nickelus F on 'Mojito', all weighing in on another gold standard drop from a supreme mic man and producer extraordinaire.

The Return Of Sasquatch (2:03)
The Unknown Comic (live Rehearsal) (2:15)
Review: 'The Return Of Sasquatch' by American rapper Your Old Droog and his occasional collaborator Madlib dropped last year as a 45rpm that soon sold out. Fans of hard-assed hip-hop need not worry though as this limited edition picture disc is here to save you. The title track is full of big raw horns and dark soul synths, menacing bars and low slung grooves. Flip it over and you're treated to a live rehearsal version of 'The Unknown Comic' which is a clattering cut with lo-fi fizz and static hum adding extra edge, texture and authenticity to the beats.
