Review: As the title suggests, this Under The Covers album is a collection of tunes the legendary band played at their live gigs, but which they hadn't actually written themselves. There are many glorious overs here, all of which are very much done in true Pearl Jam fashion - with passion and energy. The collection also demonstrates quite how wild and eclectic the band's taste must have been. As such the collection tells you plenty about their enormous knowledge and love of music past and present. There is plenty to love here, so dig yourself in deep and lap it up.

Review: A first-time vinyl pressing of Neil Young & Crazy Horse's appearance at Roskile Festival, Denmark, 2001. Despite his 60s come-up, it was by no means a sunset year for the artist. At this point, the country-rock experimentalist was flannel-shirted, scraggly, and cowboy-hatted, yet didn't approach his then-touring live set with any less vigour than in his heyday. With an up and down stomp, Young takes chomping conviction to his own rock standards 'Hey Hey, My My' and 'Rockin' The Free World', instilling a sense of uptempo grandeur in every listener, willingly or not.

Review: On July 9th 1995, Jerry Garcia had just turned 53 and took the sated for what would be the very pastime with The Grateful Dead. It was evident fo all in attendance at this gig in Chicago that he was a very ill man - his face was pallid, his body was shaking. The whole tour is said to have been something of a disaster form start to finish but there are times in this set that all that was forgotten and Gerry manages to working his magic and make for some real musical bliss. This double album was The Grateful Dead's last ever concert with Jerry, who died in his sleep a week later on August 9th 1995. It is now pressed to vinyl for the first time.

Review: "These kind of musically freeing, chance meetings between greats must be documented - otherwise we'll have failed our jobs as music cataloguers. In 1991, Led Zeppelin and Whitesnake were prolific rivalling bands - both signed to Geffen Records. Out from this parallel kinship, it's no wonder Jimmy Page and David Coverdale eventually met. Review: This is one of the very many classic David Bowie broadcasts out there. It was recorded on his Hours tour to support his 21st studio album of the same name, and was the last he did for the EMI sub-label. It was the first full album to be made available by a major artist for full internet download, a full two weeks before the physical release. The album makes use of many instruments and took Bowie away from electronica. Guitarist Page Hamilton played in the tour as did Mark Plati on lead and rhythm guitars, Gail Ann Dorsey on bass guitar, Sterling Campbell on drums, and Mike Garson on keyboards. This set was recorded in December 1999 at the London Astoria for FM broadcast.

Review: Janis Joplin had quite the life, from being a rebellious kid who quit university to pursue a career in music (and drug and alcohol habits that she never could shake) to having her ashes fired from a plane over the Pacific Ocean. In between those events, she recorded some 22 odd albums and played many a famous live show, not least Fillmore East 1969: The Legendary New York Broadcast. It has been bootlegged and unofficially released several times over the years and now arrives as a gatefold double vinyl via Parachute.
