Review: She is a famous voice of pop greatness around the world but there was also real tragedy and trouble throughout the life of Dusty Springfield. Her own personal demons blighted her life but maybe they are what helped infuse her songs with such potent emotion. The heyday years of the 60s and 70s gave rise to some of pop's best ever tunes and they are all captured here on this essential retrospective across two slabs of vinyl. Form the opener 'Son-Of-A Preacher Man' and on through 'In The Land Of Make Believe' and many others, this will swell your heart.

Review: The Days of Our Nights was Luna's fifth studio album and it now gets an overdue repress courtesy of Real Gone Music. The Dean Wareham-fronted band came on strong with plenty of big and hooky indie pop songs here, despite the fact his label dropped them on the eve of the album's release in 1999. Because of that it has become hard to find over the years and is considered something of a lost gem in the band's back catalogue. There are highlights a plenty though such as 'Superfreaky Memories', 'U.S. Out of My Pants!' and a great cover of 'Sweet Child O' Mine' complete with a superb solo by guitarist Sean Eden.

Review: When the 1992 self-titled debut full-length from Los Angeles melodic metal-leaning hard rockers Unruly Child finally saw release, it received no vinyl issue Stateside while the European pressing was condensed and pressed onto a single LP, which for a near-hour long work is criminal by today's audiophilic standards. Three decades on and the project has finally been rewarded the double album repress it always required, complete with a remaster by renowned engineer Eliot Kissileff.
