Tascam DR 10CS Micro Linear PCM Recorder For Sennheiser Lavalier Microphones
Cat: 554266 Rel: 06 Feb 15

Micro linear PCM recorder for wireless beltpacks with "Dual Recording" feature
Notes: Tascam's DR-10C-series recorders connect to your lavaliere microphone to create a compact recording system that fits on a belt pack. Two versions are available: the DR-10CL for Lectrosonics mics and DR-10CS for Sennheiser microphones. Additionally, option kits are available for Shure (AK-DR10CH) and Sony/RAMSA (AK-DR10CR.)

The DR-10CL & CS recorders have both inputs and outputs, so they can either be used stand-alone or with a wireless transmitter. When used with a transmitter, the DR-10C acts as a backup to protect against wireless dropouts during recording. For lectures or worship services, the DR-10C can record the entire program before it gets to the front of house system. And for events like weddings and reality TV production, the DR-10C is a compact recording system for body mics.

The lightweight DR-10C runs for hours on a single AAA battery. It records to standard microSD media. Recording features include auto-gain and a low-cut filter for simple setup. Its dual recording feature records a safety track of your audio at a lower level, so in case of distortion you have a non-clipped backup. When multiple units are used, an infrared signal can synchronize settings between recorders.

Whether using it as a backup or as a primary recording system, there's nothing else like the Tascam DR-10CL and CS.

Tascam DR-10L Digital Audio Recorder With Lavalier Microphone
Cat: 627789 Rel: 26 Jul 17

Digital audio recorder with lavalier microphone. Screw connector compatible with most Sennheiser lavalier microphones.
Notes: Capture audio where it happens - No cables, no wireless, no worries...

The TASCAM DR-10L is an ultra-compact, incredibly convenient digital recorder/lavalier microphone combo. For added flexibility, the included wired lavalier microphone is affixed via a 1/8" screw-down lock connector compatible with most Sennheiser lavalier mics and mics with the same connector.

Designed for both the creative filmmaker and the busy videographer, the DR-10L is an immensely powerful problem-solving tool, delivering professional sonics and revolutionary convenience.

Ideal for location recording, a DR-10L can be mounted to each on camera actor, removing the need for booms, wires or expensive (an unpredictable) wireless systems. Perfect or live events, a DR-10L can be worn by each and every member of even the biggest wedding party to ensure that every last word is captured. And lastly, the combination of a portable, high quality digital recorder and a tiny, professionally spec'd microphone makes the DR-10L an inspiring tool for the experimental audio designer.

Stealth fighter:
Building on the success of the DR-10X and the DR-10SG, the DR-10L marries the industry standard TASCAM portable mini-recorder with a high performance lavalier mic. Easy-to-use - and easy-to-wear - the DR-10L can become your secret weapon in the war against poor production audio.

Dual recording records two files simultaneously at different levels:
Film-makers and videographers often experience sudden audio volume jumps during filming. An actor could decide to scream a line and a documentary subject could do almost anything. Designed to be used as a self-contained remote recording device, the DR-10L is well prepared to deal with these scenarios. The DR-10L has several features to prevent distorted audio, but the most secure is Dual Recording. This feature captures a copy of your signal at a lower level, as a safety track in case of distortion.

Automatic file closing saves file data before the battery runs out:
You can always monitor the battery level on the easy-to-read OLED display. If the battery runs out in the middle of a recording, the unit will automatically save the file before turning off so your take isn't lost. And the case is designed so that batteries can be changed quickly, without removing the recorder from the camera shoe mount.

Automatic level, limiter and other functions solve common recording level problems:
If the input sound level is too low or too high, an automatic level function can increase or decrease the recording volume to an appropriate level. The limiter prevents distortion caused by sudden input overloads. These functions save you from worrying about recording level settings in situations when there is no second chance.

Compact and lightweight body that is only 63 g, including battery:
The DR-10L has been designed to be small, light and easy to conceal. Perfect for on-camera talent, documentary subjects or entire wedding parties, the DR-10L can easily be hidden away and so that noting comes between you and the perfect shot (with perfect audio!)

Operates for up to 10 hours continuously on a single alkaline AAA battery:
One easily obtained Alkaline AAA battery powers the DR-10L for up to 10 hours continuously. The DR-10L can also use disposable lithium or rechargeable NiMH batteries.

In the Box:
- Tascam DR-10L Digital Audio Recorder with Lavalier Mic
- Lavalier Microphone
- Microphone Clip
- Windscreen
- USB Cable
- Carrying Case
- Belt Clip

Notes: Simple, powerful and high-quality voice recording solution, ideal for interviews, videography and podcasting. Clip on the lavalier microphone and record directly into the tiny battery-powered unit in high-quality 32-bit float resolution.

Supplier's Notes:
Small Appearance, Big Impact.

Videographers love the Tascam DR-10L Pro portable recorder with clip-on microphone as an easy and unobtrusive solution for capturing audio for video. Combining the clip-on convenience of a lavalier microphone with an ultra-compact portable recorder, this form factor solves many of the problems content creators often face. It's a superior solution for busy events such as weddings and on-location film shoots.

While traditional wireless microphone systems can pose workflow concerns, the rock-solid performance of a Tascam wired lavalier recorder is proven and assured. Simple plug-and-go operation also makes the DR-10L Pro an easy backup system for your typical voice recording setup.

The DR-10L Pro's 32-bit float recording technology lets you capture a whisper, a scream and everything in between with impeccable fidelity, ultra-low noise and no need to fine-tune gain levels. Support for wireless timecode sync with Atomos products, the ability to wirelessly control up to five recorders from the app*, plus long battery life and generous storage capacity make the DR-10L Pro ideal for professional applications.

*optional AK-BT1 required for app control and wireless timecode sync

Ultra-compact and lightweight, the DR-10L Pro is the perfect solution when stealth is a priority. Fitting in the palm of your hand and weighing just 65 grams, this recorder is easy to hide at film shoots, weddings, stage performances, and other projects where invisibility is crucial.

The included belt clip attaches easily and securely to clothing, allowing you to capture great audio without compromising your talent.

Using the DR-10L Pro's standard 32-bit float recording mode, two analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs) capture sound over an enormous dynamic range without distortion or excessive noise. This means that videographers can avoid having to discard recordings due to poor levels. The included TM-10L microphone captures clear, detailed audio while handling high sound pressure levels without distortion, making it the perfect lav mic for 32-bit float recording with the the DR-10L Pro.

Whether you're recording people at a wedding reception, a busy convention or a lengthy ceremony, the DR-10L Pro is ready for service as long as you are. There's no need to worry about changing batteries during recording: the DR-10L Pro personal recorder runs on just two AAA batteries for up to 24.5 hours*.

In addition, files are saved on the microSD card approximately every 20 seconds during recording to minimise the risk of data loss due to unexpected power cuts.

*Lithium batteries

With the optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth dongle, up to five DR-10L Pro recorders can be controlled wirelessly from iOS, iPadOS and Android devices using the free DR-10L Pro CONNECT app. The app allows videographers to check device status*, view the recorded waveforms in real time and create up to five presets. A preset can be applied to a single recorder or to all controlled units at once. You can also use the app to name devices for easy identification, for example "Bride", "Groom", and so on.

With the optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth dongle, the DR-10L Pro is ready to wirelessly synchronise timecode with supported Atomos products. Timecode allows videographers to perfectly align audio with video, even when there is no audio on the camera.

Timecode is critical for videographers when dealing with multi-camera video shoots, saving valuable time in post-production.

*Audio monitoring via app is not supported

Whether you're in a dark environment or outdoors in the sun, the DR-10L Pro's highly visible OLED display lets you confirm settings at a glance.

You can check your battery level, recording status, and input levels directly from the display, and all advanced functions are just a few button presses away.

The DR-10L Pro lavalier recorder has a headphones output for easy monitoring. You can listen to the input before or during recording, and also check the quality of your recordings immediately without having to first transfer them to a computer.

The DR-10L Pro comes bundled with a free version of RX Elements, a groundbreaking audio repair and noise reduction tool from iZotope. RX Elements gives videographers powerful audio restoration capabilities that need to be heard to be believed, from seamlessly removing coughs and background noise to reducing wind roar and ambient noise. Live video shoots for weddings, on-location interviews, and documentaries can present countless post-production challenges, and RX Elements gives videographers the tools they need to overcome them.

Tascam DR-40X 4-Track Digital Audio Recorder & USB Audio Interface
Cat: 718774 Rel: 05 Feb 19

4-channel handheld recorder & 2-in/2-out USB audio interface
Notes: Versatile four-track audio recorder for cinema, music, podcasting and any other application. Easy-to-use compact design with a high-performance feature set and versatile audio I/O, all to produce professional content.

Dual Neutrik XLR/TRS combo jacks support both mic-level and +4dBu line-level. These inputs can accept balanced microphone or line level from Mixers or the FOH console. The microphone preamp includes +48V phantom power and plenty of gain for detailed recordings with condenser microphones, as well as electret type microphones. Using the stereo built-in microphones, you can capture ambient sound of the audience while recording direct from an external console, which is ideal for capturing live performances.

DR-40X allows high-quality recording with its stereo built-in condenser microphones. Every detail is captured from small whispers to loud sounds up to 125dB SPL. These built-in microphones are adjustable unidirectional microphones for recording in an X-Y pattern for tight stereo imaging, or in an A-B pattern for a more ambient recording.

The layout of the DR-40X has been revamped to be quick and easy to work with one thumb. Operations like recording, adjusting levels, deleting bad takes and adding markers are just a button press away.

Connecting to a PC using USB Audio interface mode, and DR-40X becomes a tool for voiceover work, live streaming and songwriting with studio-quality audio.

Writing down what you hear - easier said than done, but it is actually easy with DR-40X. In addition to its capability to capture crisp voice recording, DR-40X can help you with its Jump back function, variable Speed function and equalizer preset for human voice.

In addition to normal stereo channel recording and Dual Recording mode, DR-40X has "4CH Mode" that can record two different stereo feeds simultaneously. The combination of the sources are flexible; recording the built-in microphones along with a pair of external Mics such as close-up and ambient microphones, or recording the built-in Mics along with a balanced line input such as the feed from a mixer along with the sound in the room.

Film-makers and videographers often experience sudden audio volume spikes during filming. An actor could suddenly scream, or a documentary subject could do almost anything.

DR-40X has a Dual Recording mode that captures a copy of your take but at a lower level, as a safety track in case of sudden distortion. Also, Auto recording function can detect the sound input signal level and automatically start recording. The Pre-recording function with up to 2 seconds pre-record provides fail-safe protection.

Peak Reduction works in rehearsal mode or in record. Even if the sound or performance is louder than the sound check you're safe. Combined with Auto level and Limiter for preventing distortion, you never have to worry.

If you don't like the last part of a phrase you just recorded with your guitar, or if you change your mind and want to rephrase narration, the "Overwrite mode" is exactly what you need. Overwrite mode allows punch-in recording from a desired point. It is destructive editing with one level of undo.

The overdubbing function allows for Overdub Recording while playing a previously recorded file. This allows you to record other parts such as a guitar solo over a recording previously made such as at a rehearsal studio. Overdubbing creates a new file, leaving the original file unaffected, making it easy to re-record.

DR-40X support a SDXC card, which can record longer with larger data capacity. If you record one stereo file in 44.1kHz/ 16bit CD quality, 128GB card holds 192 hours maximum. In MP3/ 320kbps, it can record up to 896 hours. (that is 37 days!).

Tascam TM Drums Drum Microphone Set
Cat: 638679 Rel: 29 Mar 17

Set of four microphones optimized for recording drums
Notes: TM-DRUMS is a set of four microphones tailored for getting a good drum sound with ease using a Tascam multi-track recorder or audio interface with DAW software. Especially designed for beginners who cannot afford separate mics for each and every part of the drum kit, this mic set meets the minimum requirements for multi-microphone recordings and can even be handled by people who are not yet so familiar with creating a good sounding mix with many sources.

TM-DRUMS comprises of one dynamic mic designed for the bass or kick drum, another dynamic mic designed for the snare, and two condenser mics that can be used for hi-hat, toms and cymbals. Each of the three mic types has its own special characteristics to enhance the instrument it was made for.

The TM-50DB's frequency response delivers a thick bass thump with the right amount of punch, while the TM-50DS enhances the special character of the snare drum with attack and clarity. The TM-50C microphone can be used as an overhead microphone to capture the sound of your hi-hat and cymbals. As a condenser microphone, it handles high sound pressure levels and captures a wide frequency range. Since there are two of these in the set, you can also use that pair to easily create a stereo recording of the entire drum kit, supported by the two mics for kick and snare drum.

Creating a great-sounding drum sound is not hard to accomplish. With two overhead microphones and separate mics for the kick drum and snare drum, you'll get a wide stereo image with clear highs. Start with the overheads and try out different positions until you find that toms, cymbals and hi-hat build a balanced base sound. Then, add a thick kick drum and a well-defined snare drum to that base sound with their separate mics.

If a clear hi-hat is important to your music, you can emphasize it by placing one of the TM-50C over the hi-hat and use the second TM-50C as overhead on the other end of your drum kit. By going this way, you will have more influence on the basic instruments: kick, snare, and hi-hat. You will certainly find a good position for the overhead mic where it can capture the rest of your kit. This approach does not deliver a stereo image like with two overheads but it still gives you some amount of width when panning the hi-hat to one side and the overhead to the other side.

Tascam TM-80 Once you created your basic drum sound and you're familiar with multi-microphone recording, it is easy to add more mics. Is your drum kit located in a room with a nice ambient sound? Why not add that room ambience to make your sound more natural?

Tascam US-4x4HR High-Resolution 4-In/4-Out USB-C Audio & MIDI Interface (black)
Cat: 798806 Rel: 11 Dec 20

High-resolution USB-C audio & MIDI interface
Notes: High-Resolution USB Audio/MIDI Interface (4 in, 4 out)

The four-channel US-4x4HR is a member of the Tascam US-HR series of high-resolution USB audio interfaces and an enhanced version of the popular Tascam US-4x4. It provides four mic/line inputs, two of which can alternatively be used for direct input of a guitar or bass, four balanced line outputs, two headphones connectors, and MIDI I/O to your Windows or Mac computer or your iPhone or iPad*. This interface is ideal for multitrack recording of two instruments and two vocalists, for instance, or multi-media production with high demands on simple operation and studio-quality sound. The included loopback function and support for Open Broadcaster Software (OBS Studio), however, makes it also an excellent choice for two-channel podcast creation and live streaming.

The versatile US-4x4HR incorporates a wealth of features, including high audio resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz, ultra-low latency with a Windows buffer size starting at four samples, Ultra-HDDA mic preamplifiers with 48-volt phantom power for superior sound quality with ultra-low noise, a robust USB Type C connector, and a rich assortment of included software to start producing stunning audio right away.

All US-HR models offer a unique dye-cast aluminum honeycomb structure on the side panels with a slight upward tilt. This design not only results in a sleek, eye-catching design, it also provides just the right amount of weight so the interface won't move when cables are connected or disconnected. Equally important, the upward tilt offers the ergonomic benefit of being angled in such a way as to make the interface easy to work with.

With four microphone preamps for multi-mic setups, four configurable balanced outputs, superb sound quality and easy operation, the US-4x4HR is the ideal choice for the demanding musician, producer or home-recordist requiring more than two audio channels.

The Ultra-HDDA (High-Definition Discrete Architecture) mic preamps used on the US-HR series feature a discrete construction. They have a higher number of components and are far away from mass-produced preamps. Their EIN (equivalent input noise) rating, which measures the absence of noise, is truly low for the US-2x2HR and US-4x4HR. Combined with a newly improved audio circuit and support for sampling rates up to 192 kHz, our in-house developed microphone preamplifier delivers enhanced audio performance with the most transparent and low-noise sound, reflected in a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB.

One issue when recording using a computer is latency, which is when audio signals are delayed through digital circuitry. Another is setting up the driver software that is used when connecting an audio interface to a computer. In order to eliminate these problems, our driver software introduces only very little latency and is easy to install. Furthermore, by making the external structure of these interfaces as simple as possible, the Tascam US-2x2HR and US-4x4HR allow users who are not expert users of audio equipment to operate them without concern.

The US-4x4HR has four Ultra-HDDA mic preamps. Since up to four condenser mics can be used at the same time, this interface is perfect for recording vocals and acoustical instruments simultaneously. You can also connect two guitars or a guitar and a bass while still having two mic inputs available for vocals.

The unit features four TRS jack outputs, so the individual signals can be output in parallel with the headphones stereo output - often done for multitrack recording. TIP: By using an audio interface to output the sound from a commercial synthesizer app, a richer sound can be achieved.

The Settings Panel, which is installed on your computer, comes with a variety of functions. You can choose whether direct monitoring is done in mono or stereo and adjust the balance between input and computer signals. You can also switch the hardware inputs on and off individually and set the Windows buffer size according to your working environment.

For online broadcasting, Internet communication and other live streaming applications, the US-HR series interfaces offer a Loopback function which can merge input signals 1/2 with signals 1/2 coming from the computer (each can be set to mono or stereo) and send that mix to the broadcasting or other software on the computer. A software slider allows to adjust the final "broadcast" volume independently from the unit's line output level setting.

Maximum input level (Mic/Line/Inst): 10 dBu / +20 dBu / +10 dBV
Maximum input gain: 56 dB
Maximum output level: +20 dBu
Mic preamp equivalent input noise: 128 dBu
S/N ratio: 108 dB / 110 dB
Distortion (THD+N, mic to computer): 0,0013 %
