Atlantis (Oscar Mulero Deconstruction) (6:38)
Nautilus (5:26)
Nautilus (Marcal remix) (5:44)
Review: Given Token's imperious presence in the contemporary techno scene, it's a rare treat to see the label's founder Kr!z demonstrating his own prowess in the field of big, boomy club music for dark rooms. After a run of singles on MindTrip, SK_Eleven and Blueprint, he's bringing it back home with Atlantis, kicking off with a title track which takes us fathoms deep into an icy pool of sound. Oscar Mulero is on hand to remix the track, stripping things back for a 'Deconstruction' with a masterful touch. On the B-side, 'Nautilus' plays around with some artful, psychoactive sound design which cuts through the immersive, heads-down pressure of the rhythm section, and then Marcal steps up with a knotty remix which gets deep in the loop for a proper late night locomotion.

Marbles Lost (5:02)
Delirium (4:42)
Review: Up next on Token Records is Kr!z for his first release on the label since his acclaimed 'Atlantis' EP late last year. Keeping his sound pure, Kr!z presents a cohesive collection of decisive tracks for 'Marbles', his third release of 2023. Four loopy-bloopy sequences, the likes of 'Delirium' and 'Surge' are functional and floor-ready tracks; mathematical mind-melters for the bleep-primed.

Review: It's been seven years since Belgian DJ/producer KR!Z launched his label, Token, enough time for the Gent-based imprint to build up an impressive back catalogue. As the title suggests, Token Introspective sees KR!Z mixing up some of his favourite cuts from the label archives. For those with an open-minded approach to techno, it's well worth a listen. There's plenty to enjoy, from the crystalline dancefloor deepness of Arrestar's "Thoughts and Emotions" (remixed by Oscar Mulero), and the no-nonsense techno-funk of Mark Broom ("Two"), to the glacial IDM of Indigo Kennedy's "Obsidian", and the Detroit-influenced basement pump of Ben Klock's excellent rework of O Phase's "Binary Opposition".
