Review: Max Tannone hails from New York City and is a producer behind several well-known mash up albums in which he takes well-known bars from hip-hop history and places them over all new beats. This one, Ghostfunk, finds Ghostface Killah and others rapping over African vintage funk sounds. It's a beguiling mix with lively beats and plenty of organ chords, tumbling drums and Afro patterns all bubbling below the ionic verses. This one comes on a nice pink marbled slab of wax and brings a whole new perspective to music by the Killah.
