Situation EP (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: WO 006. Rel: 21 Oct 13
Deep House
  1. Situation (feat Shona Carmen)
  2. Situation (feat Shona Carmen - LDN Warehouse dub)
  3. State
Review: No 6 in the Waze & Odyssey Street Tracks series sees the ubiquitous Citizen team up with the unheralded Ashworth for some upfront house business. Along with the Shona Carmen vocalised title track there is a LDN Warehouse Dub and B Side burner "State".

Krunk EP (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: WO 002. Rel: 26 Nov 12
Deep House
  1. Night Rays
  2. Riddim
  3. Never Forget
  4. Riddim (Waze & Odyssey Street Tracks mix)
Review: Making all the right moves with previous form on Aus, Needwant and Tusk Wax, Ejeca is well tapped into the revivalist house zeitgeist with these hale and hearty jams for Waze & Odyssey. Solid Inner City chords and crisp, bright drums abound on side A, with "Night Rays" sure to inflict some damage with its fulsome square wave bassline. On the flipside, "Never Forget" ups the tempo for a cut that dresses like tech house but moves like 2-step. Waze & Odyssey themselves bring a smoother, deeper vibe to bear on their remix of "Riddim", pulling the melodic content right back to subtle flecks for a greater dramatic impact.

WO 003 (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: WO 003. Rel: 08 Apr 13
Deep House
  1. Ejeca vs Rhythm Operator - "Raid"
  2. Citizen - "In My Mind"
Review: Having established the W&O Street Tracks imprint in 2012 to further push the revivalist house sounds of themselves and their contemporaries, Waze & Odyssey kick present the label's first release of 2013 with a double header of hot house talent. On the A-side, Ejeca, who helmed the last W&O Street Tracks release teams up with US based Rhythm Operator on "Raid", an initially tense house number which explodes into a catchy sequence of lysergic 90s stabs, complete with whooping vocal sample. On the flip, rising London producer Citizen builds on the momentum from a year of strong releases on Love Fever, Five Easy Pieces and Kerri Chandler's Madtech with "In My Mind", a heady combination of hypnotic vocal loops, thick bass, and narcotic organ chords which display a darker side to the producer.

  10. Eliphino - "Marcus Dupree"
  11. Bodhi - "The Oakland Chinwag"
  12. Citizen - "Jaded"
Review: Waze & Oddysey's W&O Streetracks imprint pulls together the likes of Eliphino, Ejeca, Citizen and XXXY for its first (unmixed) compilation released this Winter, W&O Streettracks Vol 1. Having clocked up eight releases on Street Tracks, it's the ideal time to throw down a milestone and document the sound of the label in one package and W&O Street Tracks does so with panache. The result of Waze & Oddyssey's plunge into their address book is a 12 track compilation that neatly reflects modern house music. Ejeca, Citizen and W&O themselves sit alongside newcomers like Mediman and Sage Caswell while the emergent talents of New Jack City and Eliphino make for a nicely profiled piece of work

Lets Call Out (180 gram vinyl hand-stamped 12")
Cat: ST 001. Rel: 28 May 14
Deep House
  1. Lets Call Out
  2. I'm Gunna Sing It (Sing It)
Review: Whilst previous editions in the vinyl only Street Tracks series from Waze & Odyssey have seen contributions from Ejeca, Citizen, Ashworth and of course W&O themselves, this latest edition is credited simply to Street Tracks. Hungry for more information? You could always ring the phone number that's been handstamped on each record... Those who keep tabs on the series will be happy with the two tracks here which fall snugly into the no-nonsense upfront house style that Waze & Odyssey have been championing. Across the board support on this one with everyone from Mak & Pasteman and Moxie to Richy Ahmed and Loco Dice indulging.

Deep House
  1. Love That (Burns Hot Enough)
  2. Ma Body
Review: Waze & Odyssey are dealing in a lean kind of old-skool flavoured house music which has made its way onto Southern Fried and Wolf Music in 2012. Launching their own imprint to put out their cool and deadly deep house, "Love That (Burns Hot Enough)" kicks things off with a straight-up pumper full of DX7 bassline vibes and light and summery piano chords. It's a simple trick finished off with a snappy diva vocal hook. "Ma Body" is a marginally moodier affair, focusing more on the rhythm section and keeping excessive elements held back until a Casio keyboard line comes in, shredding everything down to pure bliss.

Hold Up EP (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: WO 004. Rel: 27 May 13
Deep House
  1. Hold Up (Yeah You)
  2. I Feel Your Worth
Review: Having welcomed the likes of Citizen, Ejeca and Rhythm Operator into the W&O Street Tracks fold on the last two releases, label bosses Waze & Oddysey return to helm this fourth edition. Their irrepressible formula for classicist referencing house music is very much on display with lead track "Hold Up (Yeah You)" deftly matching emotive pads with a bumping groove and one of those simple yet oh so very effective vocal hooks. Another potential W&O hit in the making. Flip over and "I Feel Your Worth" might sound more restrained to begin with, but the duo are just teasing; filtered swathes of synths and vocals gradually come to the fore with explosive results

Ride My Junk Re-fix (180 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: WO 005. Rel: 29 Jul 13
Deep House
  1. Ride My Junk (Squarehead remix)
  2. Ride My Junk (Chamboche remix)
Review: The fifth W&O Street Tracks release sees label bosses Waze & Odyssey open up their sizeable discography to two of their newest signings in Squarehead and Chamboche, who both remix early cut "Ride My Junk". Sheffield's Squarehead comes to W&O Street Tracks following releases on Wolf Music, Pet Records and Mannucci's Mistress that make him a perfect fit for his new home - something that's demonstrated further on the Six and a half minutes of euphoric garage house that makes up his lead remix. The well respected talents of Chamboche serve him equally well on an accompanying deeper revision that channels Carl Craig's Paperclip People project.
