Sometimes curious pairings result in the most delightful of music, the much missed Von Sudenfed project from Mark E Smith and Mouse On Mars being one such example. We're not sure exactly where In Flagranti's Sasa Crnobrnja met Clement Cachot-Coulom from the Fabulous Penetrators, we'd like to think at a vintage pornography fair, but their work together as Auf Togo sounds like the most promising of pairings on the basis of Second Left, this debut two track release for the Leng label. There's a melancholic air present in both the lead track and flipside accompaniment "Member Talk" that's vaguely reminiscent at times of 60s West Coast stoner rock and other times the kind currently being peddled (with real success) by Tame Impala but it's channelled brilliantly through a real understanding of the rhythms of disco and filtered with loving saturation.
