Austin Cesear originally surfaced with the Cruise Forever LP on London-based label Public Information back in 2012, delivering what was an immersive collection of monochrome soundscapes and deep, grainy house grooves that largely predated the flood of similarly lo-fi dance music which would find its niche in the 18 months to follow. Cesear has been disappointingly quiet on recorded material since Cruise Forever, although we have known that the producer would be releasing on Anthony Naples' Proibito label for a few months. There's A Crack In Everything is a masterful return for the producer, featuring three tracks of queasy, looping, sample-based house from Cesear which show his unique signature and ability to create emotive depth in his productions has most definitely matured.
