It's five years since we last heard from Brad Peterson, but now the former Moods & Grooves regular is back with a new astral traveller for the deep house crew. 'Expansion' opens the Plant Life EP up in style with a sturdy groove carrying illustrious brushstrokes of percussion and keys, all bathed in a hazy glow that could sound transcendental in the morning light. 'Star Traveller' takes a more deep-rooted, mellow path for lounge-ready scenarios where it's the head that wants to be moved by the music. 'Machine Logic' lays down a tougher kind of beat, but offsets it with swooping pads and chords and then 'Sun Garden' closes the EP out in a gorgeous reverie of tumbling drums and lilting flute.
