Cartridge follows up releases on the likes of Encrypted, Locus Sound and Deep, Dark & Dangerous with this crisp collection on Subaltern. Three tracks deep, across the collection he flexes his muscles in all 140 directions; 'Stone Cold' hits with a broad sci-fi synth sweep over smoking 808s, 'Choker' is much more of a creeper that gradually rises and slices you down with its devilish bass textures while 'Sweet Doughs' takes us deep deep down in the trenches with its super roomy drum arrangement, long-lingering subs and a maze of eerie textures and harmonics over the top. Load up.
