The imperious I'm A Cliche imprint overseen by Cosmo Vitelli deliver the fifth instalment of Cliche Breaks edits and like the previous instalments Vitelli has outsourced editing duties to some more than capable and familiar names. Italian duo The Heels Of Love feature prominently, teaming up with compatriots Club Silencio for the opening track "Ysae Eid" which sounds like an odd balearic cover version of The Doobie Brothers. Legendary French house producer I:Cube follows with the locked groove percussive house dynamics of "Piggy Thing", a sadly all too short track filled with reverberant glee. The standard is maintained on the flip where Jimi 'Joakim' Bazzouka delivers "The Bull", a sizzling edit of a late seventies Spanish flamenco heavy disco thumper that gets embellished with plenty of tape edit swerve by the Tigersushi boss. The Heels Of Love go solo for the final entry "Whasubi" which melds a thumping spinal proto house beat to a dusted folk rock track brilliantly.
