Get Lost VII CD

Given his long-admired skills as a selector and DJ, any new mix CD from Craig Richards is a cause for celebration. This contribution to Crosstown Rebels' Get Lost series - his first commercially available mix since 2011 - is no different. Typically, it sees him explore a range of moods and styles across the two discs. Beginning with JTC's "Through The Looking Glass" (a kind of wonky tech-house cover of MFSB's disco classic "Love is the Message"), the first disc is warm, loose and atmospheric, with Richards darting between deep, acid and tech-house cuts old and new. The second disc is noticeably more robust, with a greater emphasis on ragged electro and surging techno. It is, as you'd expect, a masterful and entertaining mix.
