|1.||"Geometry Of Curves" (4:04)|
Some years ago, Shanti Celeste and Daisy Moon were housemates and resident DJs at the same monthly Bristol club. While the former has become something of a star in the last few years, it's taken the latter a while to make her production debut. "Geometry Of Curves" was undoubtedly worth the wait though. It brilliantly blends elements of off-kilter deep house, ambient house, the bass-weight of Bristol and a melodic attention to detail that belies Daisy Moon's debutant status. The title track sets the tone, with blissful melodies and cut-up vocal snippets rising above a crunchy, dubbed-out drum machine rhythm. From then on it's a dreamy drift into the stratosphere, with the head-nodding bliss of "Halcyon" and sludgy, off-kilter weirdness of "Chambers" standing out.
