Schvitz Edits is the new label from Bwana. Following up a terrific debut release with some reworks of Dr John and Gordon Lightfoot, Nathan Micay delivers another couple of classic non-dance music songs, brought into a 'modern and most definitely dance friendly context.' On the A side we have a classic by Brazilian legend Sergio Mendes, "Magalenha" (Perko Firecracker mix) is absolutely entrancing and will pull you deep into the exotic. On the flip, we have a mash-up of revered Australian outfit Dead Can Dance's "Song Of Sophia" with a brooding/percolating type of groove - titled the 9000 Cybernetic Goth Street version - which is perfect for early morning weirdness.
