Once seen devastating the dance with Octane, DLR has been a solo operator for just over two years now. In that time he's developed an impeccable reputation on his own rights... And he's written a stunning debut album - Seeing Sounds - that sees him exploring his sound and minimal D&B science with real attention to detail. Here are two examples of its excellence; "Human Error" is, as you'd expect from a Break collaboration, a wriggling, unpredictable slammer coded with an array of unique bass tones and off-beat twists. "Underpin", meanwhile, is an elastic groover where the elements ricochet off the stern, concrete beats with twisted, dark funkiness.
