DMX Krew is a legend, and that's that. He has been busting out blistering beats for decades and each new one is as thrilling and potent as the last. It is Super Rhythm Trax who tap him up here for six sizzling tracks that all bring the rave. There is raw bass and textured synth work run through with wild acid on the opener. 'Second Moon' then lurches, spins outs and boggles the brain and after an interlude, the flip side brings coruscated acid-techno on 'The Wiggly Worm' (remix). Bulky bass bumps and chattering percussion give 'It Isn't What It Was' a playful freakiness and a second interlude shuts down this latest and great DMX EP.
